Let’s get back to the moment when it was raining. Yeo Wool remembered how her father had told her to leave Kang Chi and that guy cried on Yeo Wool’s shoulders innocently thinking that this girl was all he had left now. So Yeo Wool had only three days before she told Kang Chi everything.

The next day, Kang Chi woke up finding himself in his room, but with Yeo Wool’s hand above his chest and she’s sleeping next to him. But well, you cannot think of western kind of sleeping-together scene .  Apparently she was not sleeping since she told Kang Chi that the reason why she’s there was because Kang Chi cried so bad last night and she worried of letting him spend the night alone. But Yeo Wool couldn’t get rid of the three-day limit off her head. Then she asked Kang Chi if there’re things he would request from her. The first thing he asked was rice cooked personally by Yeo Wool.

Kang Chi was about to get to number two when Geon was on the door. Kang Chi pretended to still be asleep. But Geon noticed Yeo Wool’s umbrella and Geon knew how to catch them red handed. He couldn’t stand not to beat Kang Chi whether it was a misunderstanding or not. Kang Chi giggled after Yeo Wool’s trainer who caught Geon and Kang Chi in an awkward position finally left the room. “Do you think it’s funny??” said Geon before he left. Kang Chi stopped giggling. In his heart he said, ”Yeah, I can still laugh. It all passed. And I can still laugh.”

The Monk got a visitor: his old pal, Wol Ryeong. This time, the real Wol Ryeong. The Monk helped Wol Ryeong to meet his son, this time in a different situation…more civilized if you may say. Kang Chi asked about his mother and Wol Ryeong said she’d be forever with him very soon and this time he knew there would never be the second resurrection. But before he left this world to join Seo Hwa, he had something to do for his son..the least good thing he could do. He told Kang Chi that he knew Kang Chi’s wish to be human and he gave him some advises. He grabbed his shoulder before leaving, in a very warm way. Kang Chi then asked,”This is our last meeting, right?” Wol Ryeong: “Yes.” Kang Chi:”Then occasionally…very occasionally…I will miss you.” Wol Ryeong paused shortly but then left.
And we can all hear Kang Chi’s voice: “This way also, another matter passed.”

Wol Ryeong had prepared a beautiful death for him and Seo Hwa. Back in the cave, he laid himself next to Seo Hwa’s body on the flowery-decorated stone table and then back to death. The blue fireflies started to fly around them and the ivies started to cover their bodies.

Kang Chi discussed to the Monk about his mission on finding Gu Family Book. He showed his progress to the Monk how he could stay as a human without the beads. The monk showed him the old book, but he warned Kang Chi how he should rethink very very well about his decision. But Kang Chi was so confidence about his choice. The Monk explained the rules. But Kang Chi kept saying that he was eager to do this for Yeo Wool. He wanted to spend his life with Yeo Wool, that’s his dream now.

But then The Monk told him the bitter reality about the condition if he took this choice. His decision would cost Yeo Wool’s life if he didn’t let her go. Remember about The Monk’s warn to Yeo Wool about how their bitter destiny started in front of the tree under the crescent moon on the night she saved Kang Chi? Between the two would die. Yeah that thing. So Kang Chi refrained about the book and he realized there’s no other possible way for him to get greedy: being a human, and get a happy ever life with Yeo Wool.

Kang Chi went home with an expression that made Yeo Wool asked, “What’s the matter? Is everything okay?” Of course Kang Chi didn’t say anything. And Yeo Wool was excitedly presenting him her rice masterpiece. So while they’re facing each other, each of them was thinking about their bitter reality: one about the remaining days they had together and another one is worrying about the death penalty. But then Kang Chi got a visitor from the inn, informing him about Tae Seo.

Tae Seo was caught by Mr.Jo’s men in the previous episode. And this time Mr.Jo was interrogating Tae Seo. Mr.Dam also heard the news, but then they went to see Mr.Lee. The famous turtle battle ship of Admiral Lee Sung Shin was almost ready. He showed to Mr.Dam, and the young people the smaller model of the ship. And he also showed them the complete navy map. They would  get to make action soon.

Tae Seo was still do the bargaining with Mr.Jo. He asked for the inn and everything that he had taken away from the Park family to be handed back in return to the information he had. Cheong Jo was of course part of the bargain. Mr.Jo tried to make sure that Tae Seo would not fool him. And Mr.Jo started his plan by ordering a series of murder to some noble men.

While Mr.Dam and other Mr.Lee’s officers took care of the big issues, the three young people had to take care of something else. This time Kang Chi managed to make Yeo Wool stay and wait while the guys made execution. “This is my second wish,” said Kang Chi.  Yeo Wool: “How could you use your request for this kind of situation?” Kang Chi: “Promised is promise, Yeo Wool.”

In the gisaeng house, Gisaeng Cheon by using Cheong Jo, tried to distract Mr.Jo from his plan killing the noblemen who were in the house. This time didn’t work. He killed those noblemen. And when he was about to leave, Mr.Lee came in. Right that time, a gisaeng came out crying. The officers who check reported about three men were found dead.Mr.Lee revealed his founding about the death of 11 noblemen to Mr.Jo. This time Mr.Lee’s warning managed to make Mr.Jo was shaken a bit.

So while Mr.Jo was in the gisaeng house, Kang Chi and Geon were trying to sneak in to the inn. But they had to face some ninjas. Apparently, waiting was not also keeping Yeo Wool safe. A ninja attacked her and he managed to hurt her. As she feld further in, she saw how Kang Chi and Geon were busy fighting the ninjas. And an accident happened, an unexpected one. Kang Chi who wasn’t aware it was Yeo Wool who approached him, just attacked her spontaneously with his claws. The samurai went out and Geon handed him the message. Meanwhile Kang Chi, shocked and feeling sorry of what he had done to her hand, tried to heal her but failed. His blood didn’t work to heal her. No blue fireflies. It took Geon to stop him making larger wound on his hand.

Yeo Wool’s wound was treated. But no one and nothing could heal Kang Chi’s broken heart.

Knowing that his plan turned a mess, Mr.Jo was desperate. He finally ordered to finish Mr.Lee’s life.

In Mr.Dam’s house, Yeo Wool searched for Kang Chi. He was not in his room, nor in the kitchen. He turned out to be sitting alone outside, contemplating. When Yeo Wool came to him, she said her hand was okay and explained how the old master treated her wound well. Kang Chi said that to be frank he actually could not guarantee that he would not hurt her much worse next time. Yeo Wool realized that Kang Chi had heard about their complicated destiny, about one of them had to die if they didn’t break up. So it was Kang Chi who spit it out: ”Let’s end it here (let’s break up).” Yeo Wool: “What do you mean by that?” Kang Chi: “That’s my third request, Yeo Wool.”

Quick back to the last scene from previous episode. Wol Ryeong was wondering who Seo Hwa was while he stared at her in a creepy way. He asked who she was.

And there Kang Chi stepped forward between his parents. He attacked his father first, but of course Wol Ryeong was stronger. He was about to put his hand on Kang Chi, Seo Hwa screamed, “Doonn’t. Don’t. He’s your son. Our son.”
But the boys continued their fight. They were in the middle of locking each other when Kang Chi saw some archers in red uniforms aiming their arrow to Wol Ryeong. He soon switched their place and Kang Chi took the arrows for Wol Ryeong. Seeing what the guards did to Kang Chi, Wol Ryeong immediately kill those guys.

Meanwhile Yeo Wool, Geon and Tae Seo were cornered. They decided to flee ad the ninjas didn’t bother to run after them. The three came to Kang Chi. Yeo Wool held Kang Chi tight while Geon was pulling the arrows out of Kang Chi’s body.Soon the blue fire flies heal him. Wol Ryeong was still watching from a distance. He kept wondering who Seo Hwa really was. The brother-pals (plus Yeo Wool) brought along Seo Hwa to Mr.Dam’s house.

While Kang Chi was happy having his mother save and sound with him, Mr.Jo got a lot of problems: first, his archers were found dead. second, Seo Hwa disappeared. Well, he kind of knew where she went…

Seo Hwa was having a meeting with Admiral Lee. While the boys are asking Kang Chi about his mother, someone’s stomach was making a loud sound..very loud. And everyone was turning their head to Yeo Wool. She said, “It’s not me…It’s my hungry stomach.” While Yeo Wool and Kang Chi were arguing who should eat the first big part of the chicken, Tae Seo and Geon couldn’t stand the lovey dovey scene and took the big parts of the chicken first.

Tae Seo then helped KAng Chi with his homework from Gisaeng Cheon.

Kang Chi prepared the matress for his mother, asking her to sleep well from this day on. Kang Chi finally got his mother back.
Seo Hwa told him that actually that day she looked for him, but she couldn’t find him. Kang Chi had forgiven her anyway.

Mr.Lee received an emergency news from his subordinates. The confused and angry Wol Ryeong murdered a big number of villagers. Mr.Jo also got this news. So they predicted that Wol Ryeong would next go to the inn.

Kang Chi took a nap on his mother lap. When his mom watching him sleep, she suddenly remembered something. She still had the charmed wooden stake.

Yeo Wool exercised with Geon. Then they saw Seo Hwa approaching them. Seo Hwa them was showing something to Mr.Dam. Meanwhile Yeo wool went into the room where Kang Chi was sleeping.Seo Hwa asked Yeo Wool for a favor. She would deal with Wol Ryeong since she thought she’s the only person who could give Wol Ryeong what he was looking for and it’s her way as a mother to protect her son, Kang Chi.Yeo Wool woke Kang Chi up. She decided to break her promise to Seo Hwa to keep the information as a secret from Kang Chi: “Your mother is going to the village, to deal with Wol Ryeong.”

Meanwhile in the village, the villagers were panic and moved out to a shelter organized by the Magistrate.

Kang chi asked Geon where his mother was going. Geon told him where Wol Ryeong would strike next. Kang chi decided not to let Yeo Wool got involved. He left when Yeo Wool asked him to wait for her while she took her stuffs. Kang Chi asked Geon to do the talk.

In the village, the officers were on their aler situation to face Wol Ryeong. Mr.jo was also there. He’s quite confidence as he had the gun. As soon as Wol Ryeong was approaching, Mr.Jo was aiming his gun to him and ready to fire.But then Seo Hwa stepped forward. She asked him to stop. But Wol Ryeong chocked her. All she could do was call his name and cry..and yeah, cry. The cry was then the key. Wol Ryeong refrained. But, Mr.Jo didn’t postpone his plan to fire the gun.In the quickest moment, Wol Ryeong who noticed the situation, changed position with Soe Hwa and took the bullet for her. It was pretty much like the old time. Wol Ryeong was bleeding. But magically, his eyes turned back to black and all his beast mode turned to human.

“Seo Hwa…” Seo Hwa asked if he remembered. Then they cried together and hugged each other. “Now, we both can go in peace,” said Seo Hwa’s voice. Right in that time, a big gust of wind blew. And when the wind stopped, when everyone opened their eyes, the couple was not there anymore.

Meanwhile on the way, Kang Chi was stopped by Mr.Lee. He asked Kang Chi to let his mother go..rest in peace. Mr.Lee explained how it was Seo Hwa’s own last wish.Kang Chi wept and begged Mr.Lee to let him save his mother. Mr.Lee explained to them it’s a mother’s way to protect her son. And Mr.Lee was there to give Kang Chi a shoulder to cry on.

Seo Hwa woke up and found herself in a familiar place: the cave. She remembered how she woke up the first time in that place long time ago. And there again Wol Ryeong.. the handsome Wol Ryeong she used to know, came before her. Seo Hwa asked about his wound. Wol Ryeong that he could remember his face, but that’s all. Wol Ryeong was being..cold. Seo Hwa just understood why, so she said, “Wol Ryeong, I was still young that time. I loved you and I am sorry that I have hurt you.” Then Seo Hwa showed him the wooden stake. She said she had been keeping the stake in case she would meet him again to pay her debt to him.

And there she stab her own heart with that stake. And what Wol Ryeong saw was the young Seo Hwa again. Wol Ryeong caught her in his arms. Seo Hwa asked for forgiveness and touched his face….and then died. Wol Ryeong could only screamed out her name and hugged her tight. And we could see all the blue fireflies around them. Wol Ryeong remembered everything…and this fact that made the scene was sadder..

Kang Chi sent his answer for the homework to Gisaeng Cheon. And went back home under the rain. He had Yeo Wool waiting for him.
Kang Chi was then free from the beads and could keep his human mode comfortably. But earlier Yeo Wool was told but her father to break up with Kang Chi. ”I’m home,” said Kang Chi. Yeo Wool asked about his mother. Kang Chi hugged her and struggled to find the right word to explain what happened to his mother. Kang Chi just cried and hugged Yeo Wool. While Yeo Wool patting Kang chi’s shoulder, she remembered how her father told her to break up with Kang chi.

Tae Seo and Seo Hwa were discussing their plan. For Tae Seo, the most important thing is knowing when they will kill Mr.Jo.And then we see how the ninja approached Mr.Jo, but he was saved by his right hand man. Oh no..he’s still alive! When they stepped out of the building, they found dead bodies of ninjas on the ground…died in a weird way. They could sense something wrong is coming, and it or he is really coming: Wol Ryeong. Mr.Jo knew exactly who’s that creepy man standing in front of him.

“How could this happen? I’ve witness you died with my very own eyes…”
Wol Ryeong still have an unfinished business. He needed to know who had made him like this. Well, I don’t blame him for being very angry. First he tried so hard to be human, and then be killed and now resurrect in a severe confusion. Mr.Jo said it wasn’t him who had made him suffer this way, but Seo Hwa. “Who the heck is this Seo Hwa?!!” yelled Wol Ryeong.

Yeo Wool asked Seo Hwa if she could come back as Kang Chi’s mother. “Can’t you start over with Kang chi?” Yeo Wool tried to persuade her. She asked nicely for her to pay their time together that they had  lost since she threw away Kang Chi on the river.

Mr.Dam didn’t play soft with Kang Chi.It’s a kind of tough training for Kang Chi, and a real serious one..it’s the way Mr.Dam himself prepared Kang Chi to be ready to fight his own father. Kang Chi agreed to take off his beads as Mr.Dam kept challenging him.

In the morning, Seo Hwa had to deal with Mr.Jo. They’re finally reaching the ultimate confrontation. Seo Hwa just had enough of this man and she ordered her ninjas to kill Mr.Jo. But a surprising thing happened. The swords of those ninjas were pointing at her! She’s betrayed by her own used-to-be translator. Seo Hwa was badly cornered. Tae Seo witnessed what’s happening there and soon reported it to Gisaeng Cheon.

Yeo Wool arrived home in the morning. She found that Kang Chi was in the battle with her father. The junior warrior and the old master told her that they had been fighting since last night. Mr.Dam explained to Kang Chi his real aim of provoking this battle. Geon confirmed it too. The point is, if Kang Chi couldn’t win over Mr.Dam, how could he win the fight with his merciless father? Kang Chi got the point. It’s for his own good. So he tried to raise his anger by remembering things.
When he remember the way his father almost choked Yeo Wool, he could almost win from Mr.Dam…his paw was already high and ready to attack, but of course he refrained. And Mr.Dam stab him. He told Kang Chi not to ever refrain like that anymore in the real battle because he would not only make himself killed but also the people he cared for.

Mr.Jo shared the information about Mr.Lee’s ship design to his new ally. Meanwhile Mr.Lee himself was testing his weaponry and checking the ship design drawings.

Yeo Wool came to check on Kang Chi’s condition. She’s bringing him his clean shirt. Kang Chi got nervous about the fact that Yeo Wool was there right in front of him while he had to take off his clothes to change. Yeo Wool’s stare was just flat, while Kang Chi was very nervous. Kang chi turned around and told her to turn around too. But the clean shirt was on Yeo Wool’s side and he tried to reach it after he took off his shirt. (okay girls..droooooooool  )Yeo Wool tried to help but they fingers touched and Yeo Wool turned, saw KAng Chi’s bare body. They were awkward for a moment and it was Kang Chi who turned first and hurriedly put on the clean shirt. Yeo Wool couldn’t stand giggling.

Kang Chi teased her if she’s that happy seeing a man’s bare body. Yeo Wool said that it’s not a big deal for her seeing a man’s body..well yeah considering her environment. “So you’re happy because it’s MY body?” teased Kang Chi. And then he scoped Yeo Wool’s face with his hands and then kissed her…several times…before they hugged.

Cheon Jo came to visit Kang Chi. She’s delivering the news about her mother’s condition. Mr.Jo was deporting Seo Hwa soon. The girls encouraged Kang Chi to at least meet her and said a proper goodbye. But Kang chi still hated his mother for all she had done. Kang Chi left the room first, and Cheong Jo was the last. Before leaving, Cheong Jo left a red vest for Kang Chi, with a beautiful embroidery on it.

Tae Seo found the Japanese girl in his room, leaving him a note.

Meanwhile Mr.Jo was meeting Wol Ryeong. So he seemed to have a plan relating Wol Ryeong and Seo Hwa…or sort of.

Kang Chi went to the village. He saw the gang leader and treated the leader and his man lunch. He asked the gang leader about mother…and as Kang Chi didn’t tell why he brought up the mother topic, the gang leader brought up the topic about the hug between him and Yeo Wool, whom he thought as a guy. Yeo Wool suddenly showed up and Kang Chi told the gang leader that Yeo Wool was not a guy. After the lunch, while walking back home, Yeo Wool had something to tell Kang Chi. It’s about her secret meeting with Seo Hwa.
Meanwhile Seo Hwa was finally leaving the inn for Japan.

Kang Chi and Mr.Dam had their second round battle. Kang Chi was ready in his beast mode. He remembered what Yeo Wool had told him earlier. Seo Hwa told Yeo Wool that for the last 20 years she couldn’t sleep even a day. She thought al ot about what had happened to Wol Ryeong, and about her child. She also thought about her child would never forgive what she had done.
The battle started quickly and ended quickly. This time, Kang Chi didn’t refrain to use his paw. He managed to hurt Mr.Dam’s hand and made him drop the sword. Kang Chi made it. Mr.Dam could see the smile blossomed on Kang Chi’s face and suddenly turned back into his human mode: without the beads nor Yeo Wool.

After the battle, he rushed to get to his mother. Yeo Wool asked permission from her father and Mr.Dam gave his blessing to her, but of course Geon had to tag along. Seo Hwa was already on her way passing the woods. Apparently, it was not only Kang Chi and friends who were running after Seo Hwa. Some ninjas as well…their attack let Seo Hwa escape, but not far. Seo Hwa was cornered. First her Japanese lady voluntary became her shield and died. The second attempt the ninja tried to kill her, Kang Chi and friends came on time.
While Yeo Wool and Geon were fighting other ninjas, Kang Chi handle the ninjas who were about to execute Seo Hwa. The ninjas were down. But there came Wol Ryeong not far from them.
“Please stop all this. Just come with me,” Kang Chi told his mother who was still sitting on the ground.
Seo Hwa: “Just go.”
“Just come with me!”
Seo Hwa got up and determined to go instead of staying with her son. She needed to continue her mission of vengeance. She had to continue the war against Joseon after what they had done to her family. But Kang Chi reminded her, “What about me?? Don’t you see me here? I’m your son, right? I’m your son, mother…”
Seo Hwa stopped and just cried hard and touched Kang Chi’s face. “Forgive me…Really, forgive me..”
The mother and son finally made their proper reunion and hugged each other.

Meanwhile Yeo Wool and Geon were still fighting the ninjas. They’re out numbered and cornered. Their stamina slowed them down, but finally Tae Seo, with a mask, came to help them. Kang Chi brought his mother to the Monk’s place. But he let her wait outside because the Monk was not there yet. Kang Chi was about to go when Seo Hwa reached his hand to just say “Be careful.”
Kang Chi was already leaving when he suddenly sensed something…or someone was coming. And yes he’s right. the power of blood connection. Wol Ryeong came to approach Seo Hwa. The (ex)wife was so surprised and relieved seeing Wol Ryeong. But the angry Wol Ryeong was just being surprised and asked her, “Do you know me?”
And there Kang Chi came standing between them. Kang Chi warned his father that he would never let him kill anyone again and he would be the one who stop him.

The story went back to the time when Seo Hwa attacked Mr.Jo 20 years ago. Apparently, he had a Japanese guess and the guess witnessed everything. After the guards took Mr.Jo away, the Japanese man checked on Seo Hwa and cofirmed her death. However, he sent some of his men to pick up Seo Hwa’s body at night. He knew that Seo Hwa was not dead in the first place.

Then back to the present. Kang Chi fell unconscious.

Gisaeng Cheon interrogated Cheong Jo’s maid. Then she sent the information to Mr.Dam. And soon the news spread by Geon to both Yeo Wool and Cheong Jo. Yeo Wool was being emotional and was about to leave for saving Kang Chi. Geon tried to make her stay. But it was Cheong Jo’s words that calmed her a bit: “I heard that Kang Chi’s mother is still alive.”

Mr. Jo challenged the lady. She complained the way Mr.Jo treated Kang Chi by saying that what she’s looking for is the map, not this kind of torture. So he should stick to the order: just bring her the damn map! Seo Hwa tried to hold her emotion in front of Mr. Jo but shaking badly as soon as she was alone in her room, thinking about KAng Chi.

And Mr.Jo continued his interrogation on Kang Chi. Then Mr.Jo told Kang Chi about his mother Yoon Seo Hwa. Kang Chi became very emotional about this topic of “conversation.”

Gisaeng Cheon worked together with Tae Seo to save Kang Chi. She gave something to Tae Seo, a pill, that would help Kang Chi’s condition and that guy handed that pill to the two workers in the inn.

Yeo Wool changed into her field costume again and ready to save Kang chi. She explained to the trainer what Kang Chi meant to her and that’s why she should let her go. Yeo Wool went to the village and found the gang leader and asked for a favor.

Mr.Choi went into the room where they kept Kang Chi. His mission was to deliver food for the guards, and give one to Kang Chi as well. The guard threw the rice into the floor and Mr.Choi helped cleaning the rice and showed Kang Chi the pill. But when Kang Chi was about to eat it, the guard kicked the rice away.

After talking to Seo Hwa, Mr.Jo had to face the uninvinted guests: the village gang. While the gang was making a protest on the courtyard, Yeo Wool came to save Kang Chi. While she’s fighting the guards, Kang Chi was still trying to get the pill. Mr.Jo who was busy with the gang suddenly sensed something fishy. He went to the shed where he kept Kang Chi immediately and caught Yeo Wool as well, after beating the gang leader. What they didn’t know was Kang Chi managed to eat the pill.

Mr.Jo showed Kang Chi in his beast mode to the public. It was Mr.Choi who begged Mr.Jo to spare Kang Chi. Of course Mr.Jo was not a man with mercy. He had his men beating Mr.Choi and it made KAng Chi furious. He managed to release himself form the chain and fought the guards. He was about to attack Mr.Jo when suddenly Seo Hwa’s samurai stepped forward. Seo Hwa showed up, in hanbok instead of kimono. Kang Chi passed out again. Mr.Jo ordered to finish Kang chi and Seo Hwa couldn’t stay quiet anymore. She gave up. She revealed her identity as the same person, Yoon Seo Hwa, he knew 20 years ago…so what would he do about that?

Mr.Dam and Mr.Lee got another issue to concern besides Kang Chi: Wol Ryeong. Mr.Dam consulted to The Monk. The Monk said that the only person who could deal with Wol Ryeong was Kang Chi only.

Seo Hwa brought Kang Chi into the room to be treated. Mr.Choi shared the story about Kang Chi that Seo Hwa had missed so far. He told her that the person who was really like a father to Kang Chi was not him, but the late Mr.Park. But Seo Hwa coldly said that she didn’t want to talk about Kang Chi anymore as she had buried the memory. Apparently Kang Chi heard that.

And it was time for Seo Hwa to get the deal she had made with Tae Seo. What she said was a kind of betraying Joseon and Tae Seo against it, but had no choice. Seo Hwa reminded him what that country had given to him? His father died because the justice betrayed him. His little sister has become a gisaeng. His whole life become a mess. “So what this country had given you??!” Well, who blamed her for hating Joseon so much..she shared the same history as Tae Seo.

Kang Chi was feeling better physically, but not psychologically of course and was going out. He met Seo Hwa on the courtyard. “Are you leaving now?” asked Seo Hwa. “Yes,” said Kang Chi. “Then leave safely.” “Okay.” Kang Chi almost reached the gate when he turned back.

“Hmm..anyway…” he paused “Do you hate me that much?” he asked. “You threw me away to the river like that. Well, I’m just curious and just want to ask that.” Seeing his mother just went speechless, he just said, “Never mind. Excuse me.” and then left. Seo Hwa just broke down and cried alone.

In the gisaeng house, Cheong Jo had her way to avenge Kang Chi to Wol Seon. She also warned her maid that she won’t forgive anyone who against her.

Meanwhile Kang Chi was leaving, Yeo Wool and the gang leader were still kept in the shed. Kang Chi came to save them both.But of course KAng chi saved Yeo Wool first and they were drawn in their lovey dovey conversation, hugging…and forget the gang leader.
“What’s wrong KAng Chi?” asked Yeo Wool when Kang Chi hugged her. “Nothing..just want to hug you..” Yeo Wool patted him. They put the gang leader in an awkward situation,as he thought Yeo Wool was a guy.

Kang Chi and Yeo Wool were welcomed by Geon and the junior warrior. Then they had dinner together with the old master. While everyone was cheerful, Kang Chi couldn’t be fully happy. At first it was only Yeo Wool who noticed it, but actually everyone too as he’s shedding tears. Of course Kang Chi’s excuse was the food taste so well, but everyone kind of knew the truth.

Kang Chi examined his homework from Gisaeng Cheon then went to Geon. He said he knew that he’s the only one who should and could deal with his father.

Mr.Jo found something strange with his guard. A ninja came with a sword pointing at him. but then suddenly there’s a splash of blood.

Wol Ryeong was standing in front of the inn.

Yeo Wool was visiting Seo Hwa. She came to discuss about Kang Chi.

When Kang Chi and Geon arrived back at the courtyard, they found Mr.Dam. He asked Kang Chi to take off his beads and fight him. Mr.Dam had his sword pointing at KAng Chi and ready for a fight.

In the main room, the entertainment night was interrupted after a samurai came and informed something to the translator. The lady and the translator were on their way out when a gisaeng pretended to be accidentally bumped into the lady. The gisaeng pretended to help her cleaning her kimono and then pulled down the kimono so her bare shoulder was shown. There’s no tattoo. Gisaeng Cheon immediately informed Mr.Jo that the lady was a fake.

In Seo Hwa’s room, Kang Chi finally found out that the lady could speak Korean. He tried to make sure that he’s not the bad guy and the real bad guy was Mr.Jo. Then Kang Chi told her that since she’s staying in that place, there were three dishes she should eat that they were very delicious and she wouldn’t regret eating them. Seo Hwa then asked what his name was. KAng Chi told her his name: Choi Kang Chi: Kang for river, Chi for the guy, so his name’s meaning was the guy that was abandoned on the river. When Kang Chi left the room, one part of the map got left behind and Seo Hwa found that…and got angry.

Kang Chi went to the Yeo Wool. Then Tae Seo found them, seeing them holding them. But he just coldly said that they shouldn’t be caught so they should follow him.

Gisaeng Cheon and her group almost left Mr.Jo’s place when Mr.Jo stopped them, accusing Gisaeng Cheon for smuggling some things or some suspicious people out of the house. He made a sudden inspection, but found nothing suspicious. Apparently, Tae Seo and Gisaeng Cheon worked together to smuggle Kang Chi, Yeo Wool, and Geon.

The three people had to spend the night in the gisaeng house, more specifically in Cheong Jo’s room. It was an awkward moment for them…more because of the outfit.

As soon as they’re arrived there, Gisaeng Cheon picked them up for a meeting with Mr.Lee and Mr.Dam. Kang Chi immediately reported the thing that he took from the ninja meeting. He just realized that one more piece was missing, while the men were discussing about the map and the possibility of war. Back to Seo Hwa, he gathered his men and ordered them to get Kang Chi and the rest of the map pieces.

Kang Chi tried to explain to Geon and Yeo Wool how he lost one piece of map. Kang Chi said that he just had a short conversation with the Japanese guest who seemed to be a nice person. Geon and Yeo Wool guessed that the guest had to be pretty. Kang Chi tried to deny, but failed.

Cheong Jo overheard Gisaeng Cheong and Mr.Dam’s conversation about Seo Hwa and her relationship with Kang Chi, but not that clear yet. She went into the kitchen and asked the lady worker about Seo Hwa.

Mr.Jo complained to Seo Hwa. This time his bargain was his ability to help her finding the map, means finding Kang Chi. In return, he wanted to see her face in person. Seo Hwa agreed. Mr.Jo seemed to remember something when seeing her face. He turned pale immediately. He asked if she’s Yoon Seo Hwa. Seo Hwa said that she’s not and told him her new name instead.

Gisaeng Cheong had a private conversation with KAng Chi. She’s bringing up the topic about his mother. Kang Chi asked if she knew his mother. Gisaeng Cheong didn’t answer, instead she gave him some homework to finish. She drew a Chinese  character and told Kang Chi to solve it himself.

Yeo Wool and Cheong Jo were in the same room. Cheong Jo asked if Seo Hwa, the noble girl whose family was false accused and she was sold to the gisaeng house, was Kang Chi’s mother. Yeo Wool said that she just knew as far as the name. Then Cheong Jo was talking about how Seo Hwa was living with Kang Chi’s father who wasn’t human but tried to be and then Kang Chi’s father was killed by Mr.Dam. She also asked if Yeo Wool knew about it. Yeo Wool didn’t have to answer. Then Cheong Jo asked if Kang Chi knew about this fact. Yeo Wool didn’t answer either, but hurriedly left the room. But as soon as she opened the door, Kang Chi was there. He asked if what he heard was true. Yeo Wool didn’t answer and just left. She came home and cried with Geon. Cheong Jo said sorry to Kang Chi and asked how much he heard. Kang Chi said he heard everything.

Wol Ryeong condition was not getting better yet. The Monk tried to help him. Wol Ryeong was suffered not only because of the scratch caused by Kang Chi, but also by his confused memory that caused confused personality.

The Monk came to Mr.Dam. While Yeo Wool and Geon went back to Cheong Jo to ask about Kang Chi’s whereabout. But he wasn’t there. Kang Chi was in fact going to visit Mr.Dam at home, but this time in a different situation. Mr.Dam let Kang Chi hold the sword that he used for killing his father.  Mr.Dam explained to Kang Chi the situation during that time, how his father tried to be human but then had to be killed as he was considered to be dangerous, especially for Seo Hwa. Kang Chi was still upset. No matter what his family was torn apart. For Kang Chi, that sword was the beginning of his family’s tragedy.

When Geon and Yeo Wool came back home, they found Kang Chi in front of Mr.Dam’s quarter. He was quiet and his hands had bloods. Geon ran to his master while Yeo Wool…it’s a very difficult situation for her. Kang Chi could only whispered her name in his heart. Yeo Wool just walked pass him without even looking at him.

When Geon and Yeo Wool came into Mr.Dam’s room, Mr.Dam was okay…it was just the sword that was broken into two. Kang Chi broke them. Apparently, Kang Chi was upset but he decided the wise way. Yeo Wool hurriedly ran outside to search for Kang Chi.

She found him in front of the gate. Yeo Wool tried to explain, but she couldn’t. And this time, it was Kang chi who just walked pass her. Yeo Wool was already crying when suddenly Kang Chi came back to hold her from the back. Kang Chi said, “Don’t ever do that again, keeping secret from me. Don’t ever do that again, going out and leaving me just like that.” Kang Chi tried to sooth Yeo Wool. He asked her to see him in the eye. He said, “I love you.I really love you so much.” And then they were hugging and crying together.

In the Monk’s library, Wol Ryeong looked like being poisoned. His blood vessels turned black.

Mr.Jo got the information from one of the gisaengs about Kang Chi and his friends hiding in the gisaeng house.Mr.Jo had a plan.

That afternoon Kang Chi got a visitor: Cheong Jo’s maid. She said that Cheong Jo had something to talk to him in private.

Geon noticed something weird when Yeo Wool’s trainer informed him that Yeo Wool got a visitor: Cheong Jo. He remembered Kang Chi excused himself for awhile because he had to visit Cheong Jo. Kang Chi came into the room in the gisaeng house and saw Cheong Jo. Meanwhile the real Cheong Jo was visiting Yeo Wool to apologize about what happened the other night related to Kang Chi.
Thankfully, Gisaeng Cheon caught the traitor gisaeng was tricking Kang Chi. But Kang Chi had drunk the drugged liquor already so he had no power to struggle when Mr.Jo and his men burst in and dragged him out.

Seo Hwa got the news that Kang Chi was caught. She saw Kang Chi was chained. Mr.Jo explained to Seo Hwa that Kang Chi was not a human and he’s letting her see when Kang Chi transformed. Mr.Jo had his man take off the beads. Kang Chi struggled, but he transformed into his beast mode. Seo Hwa seemed to be in pain watching what happened before her eyes. Mr.Jo challenged Seo Hwa: “that’s the guy you are looking for, correct?!” Kang Chi struggled and suddenly lost his consciousness.

Kang Chi thought it was Wol Ryeong who kidnapped Yeo Wool. But the truth is, while KAng Chi was telling Mr.Dam about his father, Yeo Wool was brought into the woods by two people. KAng Chi took off his beads and then promised Mr.Dam that whatever happens, he would bring back Yeo Wool. If he failed, he would never come back to pick up the beads.

Yeo Wool was kidnapped by Mr.Jo’s men. That evil guy was upset after being humiliated by Mr.Dam in the incident in front of his place the other day. Mr.Jo ordered his man to kill the most precious thing for Mr.Dam. Yeo Wool was fighting the men with her eyes close. And then when she was stuck, Wol Ryeong came to help her. The rest of Mr.Jo men expected it was KAng Chi who would come to save Yeo Wool, but they were wrong. As they were about to leave, Wol Ryeong was already behind them.

Yeo Wool heard the screams of the men, so she tried to run away. But Wol Ryeong found her easily. Kang Chi came in the right time. Wol Ryeong choke Yeo Wool, he threatned to kill her if Kang Chi wouldn’t give up his will to live as a human. Wol Ryeong told her to shut her mouth, but Yeo Wool spoke even louder. She said if he’s really his father, he shouldn’t let Kang Chi suffered any longer. When Wol Ryeong was about to hurt Yeo Wool, Kang Chi fought him. But the old man beat his son.

“Don’t hurt Yeo Wool.” Wol Ryeong refused to listen. “Don’t hurt Yeo Wool, because she’s mine!” Suddenly Wol Ryeong remembered how he used to have the same feelings with Seo Hwa and even said the same thing when they were threatened. “If you are really my father, you won’t hurt the person belongs to me,” asked Kang Chi. Wol Ryeong went speechless. Then he disappeared.

Kang Chi and Yeo Wool had their moments. “The truth is Yeo Wool. You are the most important person for me. Without you, I don’t have any reason.” Then Kang Chi kissed Yeo Wool…aaaah with the blue butterflies around them. And then KAng Chi turned back into human automatically. Yeo Wool watched his face and said, “Kang Chi-ya..” then they continued their kissing.

The Monk sensed there’s someone or something in his library, and he’s right. Wol Ryeong was there, wounded. But it was not the wound that troubled him. It was what Kang Chi had said. The memories of Seo Hwa are all coming back to him.

Mr.Jo was summoned by his mysterious lady guest in the morning. The lady kind of appointed Tae Seo as her new trusted man to run the Resident. Mr.Jo complained that the Resident belonged to him, but the lady reminded him that it was not. Mr.Jo pissed off. He was about to confront SEo Hwa, but samurai stepped forward. Mr.Jo left the room without any choice. He started to wonder where his right hand man was.

Yeo Wool and Kang Chi reported to Mr.Dam about what happened to Yeo Wool. But they didn’t share the whole story. They just made sure that the kidnapper was not Wol Ryeong. Then they were fighting, very seriously in front of Mr.Dam and then excused themselves to go back to their rooms. Mr.Dam wondered what happened with the two. Geon also had no idea. The fact was Kang Chi and Yeo Wool was just pretending. It’s just part of their plan.

Tae Seo, through Mr.Choi as his informant, got an information from Mr.Jo’s conversation with Seo Hwa’s translator. He got a sense that what the lady was after was actually not Mr.Jo, but the country. It’s something related to water force in southern island (?). Then Tae Seo reported this matter to Mr.Dam and it soon reached Mr.Lee. After the meeting, Tae Seo was meeting Yeo Wool. He said he had a favor to ask…but not quite sure. He also said that for him, Yeo Wool was someone who was under his responsibility (and he’s obliged for it). Kang Chi saw the scene and when he was about to leave, Geon caught him. He told Kang Chi to give up before he started everything, and he definitely didn’t buy their fighting-acting.

Yeo Wool visited Kang Chi in the kitchen. But Kang Chi was being jealous and Yeo Wool noticed it. Kang Chi told Yeo Wool that the truth was he still had no idea about what he should do to her regarding his feelings. It’s the first time for him. Yeo Wool said it’s the first time for her too, so she’s the same confused as him. But then they had to be ready for the mission that night. Yeo Wool had to trick her training to go out of the house. In the village, Yeo Wool made a scene and flee to change into her “field” uniform. Cheong Jo saw Yeo Wool and then approached her. She asked about Kang Chi to Yeo Wool.

At Mr.Jo’s place that night they were holding an entertainment night. Gisaeng Cheong was part of it. Kang Chi and Yeo Wool were inviting themselves to Geon’s mission sneaking into Mr.Jo’s place. Geon was against the idea, but Kang Chi reminded him that he knew that place way better than anyone. Tae Seo was observing from outside the room. After one performance, Mr.Jo asked his guest to show her face in return he would agree for Tae Seo’s matter. The lady agreed to take off her veil and showed her face: she was someone else.

Kang chi was in disguise as a ninja. He was startled when some ninjas approached him. But Yeo Wool had taught him how to react when he’s meeting any Japanese ninjas. Kang Chi passed this time and went into the room where the ninjas held a meeting. They’re submitting papers to Seo Hwa’s samurai, and those papers are actually parts of a big map of the ocean. Suddenly one of the ninjas noticed that the number of ninjas in the room was more than it should be. They suspect one person was not one of them. The samurai ordered everyone to open their mask. KAng Chi refused to do it. When he was cornered, he took off his beads. After beating everyone, he took the papers and fled. He went into one of the rooms. It’s the room where the real Seo Hwa stayed in the dark. When Kang Chi went in there, she asked who he was in Japanese. KAng Chi slowly turned his head to see the woman…her mother, for the first time.

Wol Ryeong confronted Kang Chi: “So you are Seo Hwa’s son? The monk said you’re looking for Gu Family Book. Are you looking for that book because of the girl, Dam Yeo Wool?” Kang Chi’s reception was of course emotional: ”What do you care about me wanting to be a human?” Wol Ryeong: ”You know who I am anyway.” Then Wol Ryeong played harsh. He pushed Kang Chi and tried to choke him. He said for Kang Chi to better forget about that plan and leave human world. Kang Chi refused to live alone leaving those he love behind and be like him. ”To live as a human is my dream!” he proclaimed.

The old master came to rescue Kang Chi. But Wol Ryeong was too strong. Kang Chi screamed, “Nooo..!” And everyone heared his scream. Kang Chi took off his beads and changed into his beast mode. He’s about to fight, but he just gave one scratch and then Wol Ryeong disappeared already. Kang Chi cured the old master with his blood, but Mr.Dam came and put him in a difficult situation.

Tae Seo asked Seo Hwa if she’s from Korea and why she’s interested in his sister. Seo Hwa was offering Tae Seo a deal related to fighting Mr.Jo and saving her sister.

Geon reported to Yeo Wool about what happened to Kang Chi. But she couldn’t do anything. Kang Chi was held by the warriors and the old master had not yet woken up. Admiral Lee paid a visit.

Kang Chi insisted on talking to Mr.Dam, but the warriors held him. Admiral Lee stepped forward and talked to him instead. Kang Chi tried to explain to Mr.Lee that it was not him who hurt the old master. But it seemed trusting Kang Chi was so hard for everyone. Mr.Dam said he had no choice but to make him leave. But Kang Chi defended himself and insisted on staying to proof his innocence.
He said that he still had 2 more days to go to protect 5 bells on his belt. If within the next 2 days he failed, he would leave voluntary.

Yeo Wool fled her training. She talked to Kang Chi, and of course she’s the only one who 100% trust Kang Chi. She’s worried about him so much and went out to just make sure everything was okay. But Geon showed up suddenly and cut one more bell on Kang Chi’s belt. And Yeo Wool was picked up by her trainer.

The old master finally woke up. The junior warrior was the one who was with him. That old man whispered to the young boy, Seong, something. He immediately went to the kitchen where Kang Chi was alone holding the old master’s broom.

Then Kang Chi came to Geon asking to let him go to the village. He said that all this time the village and everyone got the rumor about him being half human thanks to Mr.Jo. So he’s planning to clear that right in front of Mr.Jo himself. He asked Geon to back him up, and let Yeo Wool to participate…of course, she’s the key element in this plan. Yeo Wool was visited by Seong when Geon distracted her trainer. She managed to flee.

Kang Chi showed up in the middle of the crowd in the village. He got everyone’s attention and announced, “Those who’re curious about me being a gumiho’s son, rise your hands!” After the villagers rising their hands, Kang Chi told them to follow him to Mr.Jo’s place.

Meanwhile in Mr.Jo’s place, Mr.Lee came to talk to him. Mr.Lee’s reason was to talk about Kang Chi. He warned Mr.Jo to be careful if he had any bad plan related to KAng Chi, so he should better be staying quiet. Mr.Jo then confronted about Mr.Lee’s plan to build a ship. Mr.Lee asked how he could know such information. Mr.Jo couldn’t answer.

That time, Kang Chi’s voice calling Mr.Jo’s attention was heard from outside. The two Mr.Park’s former workers welcomed him. The old man Kang Chi called as father asked what’s going on. “Father, I’m here because everyone doesn’t believe that I’m your son, Mr.Choi, not a gumiho’s son.” Mr.Lee and Mr.Jo came out. When Mr.Lee asked what’s going on, Kang Chi said that there has been a rumor spread by irresponsible people that he’s a gumiho’s son while he’s the son of Mr.Choi, the man who worked in that resident.

Mr.Jo asked Kang Chi to take off his beads. Kang Chi refrained as Yeo Wool was not there yet. But as soon as Yeo Wool showed up, he just took the beads off without any hesitation. The gust of wind did come, but he stayed human. Those who knew his secret wondered how that could happen. “I don’t know either why having Yeo Wool beside me is enough,” Kang Chi said in his heart. Mr.Jo was upset. His bodyguard was making a move, but Geon moved fast to hold him. Then all the warriors of Mr.Dam and Mr.Dam himself showed up. Mr.Dam announced that Kang Chi was under his protection. When the crowd started to disperse, Kang Chi and Yeo Wool were having that “the world is ours only” situation. They talked and smiled at each other indifferent of other people. Cheong Jo and Tae Seo could see it very clearly.

Geon was confronting Kang Chi and the warriors. It was the young Seong who defended Kang Chi. Geon left only one more bell for Kang Chi to protect for the rest of the day.

Kang Chi came to the old master to submit his answer for the beans counting task. “The answer is one sack. No matter how many beans in the sack, what matters is it’s one sack.” The answer was actually correct, but the old master gave Kang Chi a blur answer.

Gisaeng Cheon had her spy reporting to her about Mr.Jo’s guest. The woman said that the lady had a particular gisaeng tattoo on one shoulder and paw mark on another. Gisaeng Cheon wondered if the lady is Seo Hwa.

Yeo Wool escaped from her training again to meet up with Kang Chi out of the house. What Kang Chi wanted to show her, or give her actually, is the remaining one bell he could successfully protect. They were talking when suddenly the warriors were coming. So they hid behind the bush. Their faces were so close and their situation really supported the mood. So Kang Chi made his move…and it was so close…but suddenly Seong’s voice heard calling him. Mr.Dam summoned Kang Chi. After sending Seong away, Kang Chi and Yeo Wool was having their awkward moment again. Yeo Wool told him, “Go to father, quickly.” Kang Chi was about to leave when he came back and grabbed Yeo Wool’s shoulders. Kang Chi leaned forward and looked at her very seriously. But all he said, “Goodnight.”
After Kang Chi left, someone kidnapped Yeo Wool.

Mr.Dam asked Kang Chi who hurt the old master. Kang Chi was about to tell him when the trainer came to report Yeo Wool’s missing. “She should have come back in,” said Kang Chi, and then he just left to look for her where he lad left her.
Kang Chi only found the bell. He knew it was Wol Ryeong who kidnapped Yeo Wool.

Back to where the story ended in the previous episode. Wol Ryeong approached Yeo Wool. Meanwhile Kang Chi was running as fast as he could to save her. Yeo Wool tried to grab her sword, but Wol Ryeong prevented her. Yeo Wool: ”Who are you?” Wol Ryeong: ”I’m Wol Ryeong. And you?” Yeo Wool: ”Dam Yeo Wool?” Wol Ryeong: ”What is your connection with Mr.Dam?” Then he told Yeo Wool that Mr.Dam was the one who killed Kang Chi’s father (Wol Ryeong after resurrection is a detached spirit from his human side). Then he concluded that Kang Chi also had no clue about it and something that made Yeo Wool upset. Yeo Wool made a move to attack him, but Wol Ryeong was faster.

Kang Chi heard Yeo Wool’s scream. But when he got there, Yeo Wool was alone..left speechless on the ground. Seeing Kang Chi, Yeo Wool just started to weep and hugged Kang Chi. Without any spoken reason, Kang Chi also shed some tears.

Mr.Jo remember how Tae Seo was explaining to him about Admiral Lee Sung Shin’s plan to make a ship. He was suspicious if it’s a kind of a trap.

Kang Chi was helping Yeo Wool handling with her sprained ankle. He asked about her cry, but of course Yeo Wool didn’t tell the truth. Kang Chi teased her that she turned out to be just like any other girls.  Yeo Wool: “So you see me as a girl now?” Kang Chi:”Of course I see you as a girl.” And then they paused, awkward. To break the situation, Kang Chi helped Yeo Wool standing. But he pulled her too strong, so their face just inches away. This time..super awkward. They were startled for a few seconds then Kang Chi tried to break the situation again: “We should get going because your father worried so much.” ”Yes,” said Yeo Wool. Then Kang Chi left her..still awkward, but then was back again..just to get his sword and gave her the shoe and then left again.

Kang Chi and Yeo Wool were on their way when Yeo Wool made a voice because of her ankle. Kang Chi offered a piggyback, but Yeo Wool refused. Kang Chi gave her options of piggyback or carried on the front. Yeo Wool insisted on walking. But Kang Chi scooped her and told her to stay quite. He assured her that she’s not heavy and he’s feeling just fine carrying her that way no matter how far the walk would be. “Kang Chi.” “Yas.” “Thanks.” Romance is just in the air again when suddenly Geon and the warriors showed up…and also Mr.Dam.

Mr.Dam reminded Yeo Wool about her status as Tae Seo’s fiancee. Yeo Wool protested: “Are you doing this because of the fact that you’re the one who killed Kang Chi’s father? He told me about this.” Mr.Dam asked if Kang Chi knew about this too. Yeo Wool said no. Then he just commanded her to go to her room. He ordered Geon to get Yeo Wool for her training.

Kang Chi secretly came to TAe Seo. He’s wearing black and bringing sword. Tae Seo noticed something and started to speak in a high note. He’s saying that the reason why he’s helping Mr.Jo was to help Cheong Jo. Apparently, it was Mr.Jo’s ninja who disguised to be Kang Chi to make sure Tae Seo was not lying helping Mr.Jo. Tae Seo saved himself for being smart.

Kang Chi helped The Monk. He asked why Kang Chi was still there while he’s father might kill him. “Whose father are you talking about?” Kang Chi had no fear about his father’s threat and he still can’t accept Wol Ryeong as his father. When Kang Chi just left the Monk’s shed, his father tried to confront him, but ended up just threaten him from a distance. Kang Chi was about to make a move when suddenly he was tied with ivies. Wol Ryeong ‘s red eyes fade and then he just left.

Kang Chi ran back to search for Yeo Wool. He wanted to share his scary experience with her. But Geon told him that Yeo Wool was under a training.And she’s under training to become a girl. Mr.Dam wanted her to let go of swords, started living as girl, and live a happy life as a wife. But Yeo Wool said that she doesn’t want to live with any other man but Kang Chi. Of course Mr.Dam disapprove of the idea.

Kang chi received a strict training from Geon. He made Kang Chi put on a belt with 10 bells. For the next 3 days KAng Chi had to protect those bells from being cut just like what Geon just did. If Kang Chi failed to do it, he had to get out of that place. And Geon could really suddenly appear to cut Kang Chi’s bell. So Kang Chi had to stay alert. Even when Kang Chi was in a hurry to the toilet. It’s not yet a day, but KAng Chi had lost 5 bells already.

Yeo Wool was frustrated with her training. Sewing lesson..yes, who’s not frustrated with that?

Kang Chi wondered about the ivy incident in the woods. So he tried to control it again. It failed. But after he took off his beads, it worked. Wol Ryeong kept his eyes on Kang Chi very closely.

Admiral Lee got the news from the Magistrate about Kang Chi’s history. He said that Mr.Dam 20 years ago killed a gumiho. But that gumiho had a child with a human, and he’s Choi Kang Chi. “I got this information from Mr.Jo.” Then Admiral Lee had a meeting with Mr.Jo. The vicious man asked Mr.Lee to send away Kang Chi because he’s very dangerous even though he’s now in his human mode.

That night, Kang Chi finally could see Yeo Wool. She was opening the window to get some fresh air. She shared with Kang Chi about her misery in sewing lesson. Kang Chi then showed Yeo Wool a not yet bloomed flower. Then with his power, he showed her his trick. Yeo Wool:”How did you do it?” Kang Chi:”I don’t know. I just know I can do it.” Yeo Wool: “You’re so cool.”
Kang Chi gave her the flower. As their fingers touched, they felt something. But Yeo Wool just said “thank you.” Kang Chi just giggled, while he’s actually taking off his beads.

Apparently, Yeo Wool’s training was not at home. It’s probably at a kind of woman training center. It was in Dam Yeo Wool’s place. Gisaeng Cheon was paying a visit to Mr.Dam, I guess, and she brought along Cheong Jo for a bit of fresh air. Before going back to her place, Cheong Jo saw the scene of Kang Chi giving Yeo Wool a flower at the window.

Kang Chi went to the Old Master to show off his success on counting beans task. It’s 20thousands something, he’s quite detail actually, but the old master said he’s wrong.

When crossing the courtyard, Kang Chi could sense that Wol Ryeong was around. He was about to go out to search for him. But he didn’t have to go that far because it was Wol Ryeong who approached him at the gate.

Tae Seo was approached by Mr.Jo’s guest translator and the guard. Then Tae Seo came to visit the mysterious lady. And that lady took off her fail for the first time.

When the clouds moved away and let the moonlight fell into the ground, Kang Chi could see his father’s face for the first time. “Who are you?” asked Kang Chi. “Are you Choi Kang Chi? I’m Gu Wol Ryeong.”

The Monk was visited by his old friend. He asked how could he resurrect. Wol Ryeong said he had a question for The monk before he answer the question. “Earlier I saw someone strange. He’s nor human nor spirit. Who’s he?” And their conversation was left there…in the mean time.

Jump to the village. Kang Chi was startled seeing Dam Yeo Wool in her girly appearance. “Dam Yeo Wool, is that you?” he asked, mesmerized.

Then jump to Mr.Jo’s private festival for his guest. Gisaeng Cheon performed her drum performance.

Back to Kang Chi and Yeo Wool. They’re awkward, but something needs to be said right? So Kang Chi went first: “Why are you coming out like this?” Yeo Wool:”I sometimes wear this kind of dress. Does it strange?” Kang Chi:”Yes.” Yeo Wool:”Which part (that looks strange)?” Kang Chi:”Just..all.”  Yeo Wool was upset, taking Kang Chi’s answer as a dislike gesture. Kang Chi tried to explain: “It just seems not you. Like you’re someone else. Don’t get mad.” Yeo Wool assured him,”It’s also me!”

Then they both enoyed the lantern festival. Yeo Wool hang her wish on a lantern. “Isn’t that my wish?” asked Kang Chi. “No, that’s mine,” said Yeo Wool. “Because my wish is that you will find the book and become human. That’s my wish.” Among the crowd, there was Wol Ryeong, watching his son. Kang Chi sensed Wol Ryeong, but when he turned to look, his “old” man was not there anymore.

In Mr.Jo’s private party. Mr.Jo asked if his guest satisfied with Gisaeng Cheon’s performance. The lady in veil seemed to be disappointed. Cheong Jo stepped forward to challenge the lady to explain in which part Gisaeng Cheon was lack. She argued that Gisaeng Cheon’s skill was perfect. But the lady said she’s wrong and explained in which part Gisaeng Cheon’s performance was lack. The lady left. Mr.Jo was upset to Cheong Jo. He then tried to talk to his guest and kind of suspected her as originally from Korea. In short, it’s a bad night for Mr.Jo. He didn’t even accept Gisaeng Cheon’s apology.

Cheong Jo had a walk in the village. She saw the wishes hung on the lanterns. She remembered how the year before she and the brothers had been in the same festival. They were so cheerful. That life seemed to a centuries old memory for Cheong Jo. Then suddenly came Kang Chi who was walking with Yeo Wool. Yes, very awkward situation. And it was Cheong Jo who decided to avoid them. She was about to leave when she bumped into a drunk man. The man didn’t want to let her go, so Kang Chi had to handle that man. He even walked Cheong Jo back home.

Cheong Jo thanked him coldly and just told him to leave. Kang Chi tried to talk, ”Are you still afraid of me because of my other form you saw the other day?” Cheong Jo asked him back, ”What about that girl with you? Does she, Dam Yeo Wool, know your other form as well?” Kang Chi said yes. Cheong Jo got the situation. Then she turned into the cynical gisaeng again. She said he could visit her next time in gisaeng house and they could drink together. Kang chi said for him she’d always be Park Cheong Jo. But Cheong Jo slapped him with the fact that she’s become a real gisaeng.

Going back to the village when it’s already morning, Kang Chi found Yeo Wool already changed into her usual dress again. Back to Dam Yeo Wool that he knows. They stared at each other for some time. Yeo Wool was about to cry, but she held it. She asked if Kang Chi walked her safely home. Kang Chi said yes. Yeo Wool asked if the person that’s most important in his heart was Cheong Jo. Kang Chi didn’t answer, and Yeo Wool kind of get his silence as a yes. She just said sorry for getting into his private realm. She’s about to leave, but Kang Chi held her. He was about to say something, but refrained, and instead just said,”I’m hungry.”

In Mr.Dam’s house, Geon and the Old Master were lying to Mr.Dam about Kang Chi and Yeo Wool’s where about. Then suddenly a breaking news arrived: one of their warriors was found dead on a tree in the part of the woods that’s nearest to Dam’s resident. It’s the warrior who was in the woods with Kang Chi the other night. Mr.Dam asked for the truth about Kang Chi and Yeo Wool’s where about.

The two were having breakfast. Then there’re a couple of men provoked Kang Chi, but it was Yeo Wool who handle them. Then the village gang showed up. The leader surprisingly stood for Kang Chi. Everyone was confused and found him very very strange. He even offered himself whenever Kang Chi found any trouble.

Geon finally found Kang Chi and Yeo Wool, and immediately delivered the bad news. Kang Chi was going to pay his respect to the warrior, but other warriors refused him. They were suspecting him as the murderer. Yeo Wool told her father the truth about their where about last night. Mr.Dam was upset and Yeo Wool was grounded.

Gisaeng Cheon came to visit Mr.Jo’s guest personally to officially apologized for Cheong Jo. (UN)surprisingly, the mysterious lady could speak Korean. She asked if she could make a visit to the gisaeng house sometimes. Gisaeng Cheon said that gisaeng house was forbidden for woman, but she said there were two ways a lady could visit that place. The lady then prepared herself. She’s taking a bath. She got the gisaeng tattoo! And a deep claw’s mark on her left shoulder. OMG…Could she be…Seo Hwa??

Mr.Dam held an important meeting. They had a very important mission to run. Geon, Kang Chi, Tae  Seo, Yeo Wool and the old master were there. Mr.Dam announced that Tae Seo would go to his old house. He’d pretend to be Mr.Jo’s spy. Kang Chi opposed the idea, but Md.Dam assured them that it’s Tae Seo’s post in the mission. Then he told Yeo Wool to pay more attention to Tae Seo from now on. Mr.Dam suddenly announced that Yeo Wool and Tae Seo were actually arranged for marriage since they’re kids. If Kang Chi was surprised, Geon was upset. Yeo Wool was the most upset person. Tae Seo’s situation was awkward, but he wasn’t surprised at all. So he knew about this all this time. And that’s why he never sought for other girls. Geon tried to talk to Yeo Wool who shut herself in her room, but Yeo Wool was not in the mood of talking. Geon could only listen to her cry.

And it’s not only Yeo Wool who has to deal with her heart break. Cheong Jo was channeling her heart break by practicing drum playing. Then her senior came to tell her that she got a guest: Mr.Jo. He brought a present for Cheong Jo: her old maid. Cheong jo asked what he asked for return as she knew he’s not that generous. If Mr.Jo was trying to buy her heart, he had to dismiss the senior gisaeng from the room. Mr.Jo did what she said. And Cheong Jo knew how to declare a vengeance in a gisaeng way.

Kang Chi continued his bean counting task. This time the person who annoyed him was the old master. The old master tried to provoke Kang Chi’s feelings by reminding him about how Yeo Wool was able to keep him stay human even though without the beads. And Kang Chi remembered some moments: actually while Yeo Wool was sleeping on his shoulder the other day, Kang Chi did a trial by taking out his beads. He didn’t change! And he did it again during the lantern festival. ”The truth is I don’t know either…” his voice over said.

Then suddenly Kang Chi got a mysterious visitor. Wol Ryeong showed up in front of him. “Who are you??” asked Kang Chi. But when Kang Chi rose from his seat, he dropped the bowl and Wol Ryeong had gone.

The secret order under Admiral Lee held a meeting: Geon, Tae Seo, Mr.Dam, the old master, and the gisaeng. They were ready for the big mission.

Tae Seo went to Mr.Jo. He told Mr.Jo that Admiral Lee was building a ship. He even shared to Mr.Jo the confidential ship design. This was part of Mr.Lee’s plan.

In his library, The Monk woke up in a sick condition. His library looked messy as well. He remembered his last conversation with Wol Ryeong. The Monk answered Wol Ryeong’s question: “He’s Seo Hwa’s son.” Wol Ryeong just casually said,”Ah, Seo Hwa’ son.” Monk:”He’s also your son.” Wol Ryeong: “Where’s that woman now?” Monk:”After giving birth, she was killed.” Wol Ryeong kind of said how it’s a petty Seo Hwa died, but he seemed to be upset to the fact that he tried to be a human and because of her he was dead. Then he hit The Monk. So in my perception, Wol Ryeong had become completely “a spirit” (if not a beast) who had lost his humanity.

Kang Chi went missing. Yeo Wool searched for him alone. Mr.Dam got the news and was upset. Geon knew what he needed to do.

Yeo Wool searched for Kang Chi in the woods. Meanwhile Kang Chi was searching for the Monk. He found the Monk in his library, unwell. The Monk told him to runaway as his life is in danger. Someone very dangerous is looking for him: Wol Ryeong, his own father. But he explained about Wol Ryeong’s condition. Back in the woods, Yeo Wool was being the target of Wol Ryeong. She ran away, but then tripped. Wol Ryeong approached her. And just like a telepathy, Kang Chi suddenly could hear Yeo Wool’s untold scream for help. Wol Ryeong made a contact with Yeo Wool.
