Starred by Uhm Tae Woong and Moon Joo Won, this action movie has caught so much attention by Korean viewers. Well, I think their famous names contribute a lot for the promotion of the movie. As we all know, Uhm Tae Woong has been more famous since he joined “2 Days 1 Night” and Joo Won with his “Ojakgyeo Brother”, both aired on KBS.

The two sexy men have developed a good relationship since the filming of the movie and Joo Won just couldn’t hold his admiration to his senior. Well of course in a brotherhood context. Joo Won kept praising Uhm Tae Woong as a very kind person that he really really like him. He got along with the calm Tae Woong very quickly. And he wouldn’t hesitate to ask, “Have you eaten, Hyeong?” and he knew that his over-care to Tae Woong sometimes made him embarrassed. But if you watch “2 Days 1 Night”, you’ll know that Tae Woong is basically a shy person, but he’s a very cool guy who gets along with his juniors very well.

Lee Min Ki with His Current Box Office Movie “Chilling Romance” https://kdramachoa.com/lee-min-ki-with-his-current-box-office-movie-chilling-romance/ https://kdramachoa.com/lee-min-ki-with-his-current-box-office-movie-chilling-romance/#comments Fri, 09 Dec 2011 04:16:21 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=15804

“Chilling Romance,” a horror-romantic comedy movie that just released December 1st has become a box office, beating “Tin Tin” and even “Breaking Dawn.” That’s a very wow success since many people had been expecting “Tin Tin” and the Twilight-saga “Breaking Dawn” for quite a long time. However, eventually, Korean people loved this Korean movie more!

Well, yeah..this movie does give viewers a fresh idea, offering the horror, thrill, mellow and laughter in the same time. Seriously guys, I’m not a horror movie fan, a big NO NO! in fact, but this movie really worth watching. You won’t have time to really keep the fear deep in your brain because seconds later you’ll be bursting a laughter. The ghosts are freakin’ scary, yes, but the scenes are sometimes too hilarious that you may forget to scream for fear. And the romance story between the magician Jo Goo, Lee Min Ki’s character, and his 6th-sensed partner Yeo Ri, played by Son Ye Jin, will also touch your heart.

As the result of this, Lee Min Ki, has received so much attention these days.  Newsen recently interviewed him asking how’s his feelings about the movie being number one now, Lee Min Ki answered, “Outranking ‘Breaking Dawn’ feels good.” Hohoho, if i were him i would’ve felt the same way too. And then he was asked what he thought about the fact that many people give so much attention to him and love him (as an actor in the movie), he said, “Isn’t it because I played alongside Korean most beautiful Ms. Son Ye Jin?”

Lee Min Ki said when the first time they offered him the scenario and he asked about the partner and they said it was Son Ye Jin, he didn’t hesitate to take the role. Well, yeah Son Ye Jin is like the most wanted female co-star for many Korean actors  even for the seniors, let alone a junior like Lee Min Ki ;) . Son Ye Jin is famous not only for her beauty, but also -and the most important thing- for her great acting quality. Lee Min Ki said his friends didn’t believe him at first when he told them that he would work on a movie project with Son Ye Jin as his co-star. I couldn’t imagine how envy his friends were when they found out that Lee Min Ki had lots of kissing scenes with the noona in that movie. :D

Lee Min Ki continued that even though he couldn’t get any closer with Son Ye Jin in personal, he was so grateful that he could learn so many things from Son Ye Jin as a sonbae in the movie industry. But Lee Min Ki has appeared twice this year in the big screen, firstly with “Quick” where he played alongside Kang Ye Won. I think this guys has always been pretty lucky to play along side great named actresses, like Chae Rim, Shin Min Ah, Ha Ji Won…and many more, just check his filmography. And I always love his acting whether it’s in drama or movie. So congrats and best good luck for him in the future.

So Ji Sub’s Photo Essay of “Only You” Sold Out https://kdramachoa.com/so-ji-subs-photo-essay-of-only-you-sold-out/ https://kdramachoa.com/so-ji-subs-photo-essay-of-only-you-sold-out/#comments Mon, 05 Dec 2011 13:09:51 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=15734

On late October So Ji Sub released his photo essay title “Only You” (오직 그대만) referring to his romantic movie  alongside Han Hyo Joo. It’s the same month with “Only You” release. The content of that book is not only his pictorial when he was filming “Only You” but also his thought, his comments and his notes about that movie and other things.

Not only his movie became a success but also that pictorial book, because just a month after being published the first edition was instantly sold out. As i remember, his other photo essay “So Ji Sub’s Road” also gained great attention from the public, until his name became the name of a road in Gangnam.

Our photogenic ajeossi deserved it, indeed… ;)

Joo Won’s Hair Style on “Special Investigation Unit” (특수본) https://kdramachoa.com/joo-wons-hair-style-on-special-investigation-unit-%ed%8a%b9%ec%88%98%eb%b3%b8/ https://kdramachoa.com/joo-wons-hair-style-on-special-investigation-unit-%ed%8a%b9%ec%88%98%eb%b3%b8/#respond Mon, 05 Dec 2011 09:16:53 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=15641

Actually i just wanna share the photo above, Joo Won as Ho Ryong on “Special Investigation Unit”.  This picture is too cool to keep all by myself. And turn out with his appearance in his first movie, Joo Won becomes the hot topic, especially his hair style. For this movie, Joo Won changed his usual hairstyle in such a different way that made him look like of one of Dragon Ball’s figures. But i think with that hair style, he looked more manly and sexier.

In this movie, Joo Won has to portray a character of a genius but stylist police man,oh yeah a genius doesn’t have to look like a nerd, right? Especially if he’s as handsome as Joo Won. . Actually this movie reminds me about Will Smith and Martine Laurance’s movie, “Bad Boy”. Ho Ryong, who is aware about his appearance, looks like Will Smith’s character on that movie.

So far, this movie where he acted alongside Uhm Tae Woong getting much attention from public. Besides his good looking, his acting skill also gained  compliments. Congratulation, Joo Won-ssi! I think, It’s  a good start for your career in the movie industry.

After a week being released “Special Investigation Unit” (특수본) become box office in South Korea.  Since officially  released on November 24th, this movie managed to gain over 50.000 viewers. Uhm Tae Woong and Joo Won’s duet are the selling point of this action movie. They successfully attract the audience to come to the cinema. So, maybe because of that, on December 1st, the official released special poster, quite different from the posters released before, this time the poster  just shows the two leading characters: Seong Beom (Uhm Tae Woong) and Ho Ryong (Joo Won).

With this poster it seems the official of the movie wants to tell the public that it is a real action movie, and hope it will be get more viewers. In this poster,  Uhm Tae Woong and Joo Won aim the gun with serious expression and sweat.  They both look so cool and hot at the same time… oh maybe i got the fever.

Joo Won and His First Movie (특수본) https://kdramachoa.com/joo-won-and-his-first-movie-%ed%8a%b9%ec%88%98%eb%b3%b8/ https://kdramachoa.com/joo-won-and-his-first-movie-%ed%8a%b9%ec%88%98%eb%b3%b8/#comments Fri, 18 Nov 2011 16:37:19 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=15280

Since his debut on 2010 Joo Won has gained public’s attention through his role on”Baker King, Kim Tak Gu”, even just as a second lead man on that drama, his acting was really appreciated. I like his pseudo-antagonist role, as Goo Ma Jun, with his cold expression he managed to show a heartless figure, but i still can’t hate Ma Jun, I saw that role  just a young guy who was pursuing his happiness. He wasn’t that evil.

After Goo Ma Jun, on 2011 his comeback with second small screen project “Ojakgyo Brothers”, his role as a cool detective, an investigation detective, Hwang Tae Hee, still got the cold personality from Ma Jun, but Tae Hee looks lighter and fresh, even sometimes he looks so adorably naive facing his special feelings for Baek Ja Eun (Uee’s character). but he really suits his role.

And also this  year he’s trusted to work on movie project titled “Special Investigation Unit” (특수본) with seonbae-deul like Uhm Tae Woong, Jung Jin  Yeong, and Song Dong Il. It’s pretty heavy task for him in the first movie that he must act alongside with Uhm Tae Woong. Thank goodness, Uhm Tae Woong is really kindhearted senior, he is willing to share knowledge about acting to Joo Won, and Joo Won is very helpful to him as well.

On this movie Joo Won and Tae Woong will pair as colleagues, both act as policemen. Tae Woong act as Kim Seong Beom, the investigation detective and Joo Won plays as Kim Ho Ryong, a crime analyst. Joo Won the brain and Tae Woong the hand.

Actually the filming process quite heavy for Joo Won as physical, while filming he had fainted and had to be taken to the hospital. Even he works behind the desk and always (almost) wearing the monkey suit. In this action movie Joo Won is also  involved in some fighting scenes. Soon his work hard will be paid, the movie will be released on November 24th.

On this movie Seong Beom has to unveil a brutal mysterious murder case, even he has a sharp instinct on his job,  he still  need help from FBI’s protege, Kim Ho Ryong, a crime analyst. Maybe the atmosphere of  this movie will not be different from my favorite crime series like “CSI”, “NCIS” and “Criminal Mind”, full of criminal psychology. From this role, Joo Won learn about criminal behaviour, he realized that his role, a genius crime analyst, is really important in resolving the case.  Every movement of criminal has meaning which can reveal the personalities of criminals, so that will help the police to investigate the criminal case.

Joo Won feels lucky and very grateful since from his first movie, he got a lot of valuable experience.
