I was reported that on January 26th was held first script reading session for MBC’s most anticipated drama “The King”. The leading actress and actor, Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi, participated on that session. Finally they sit together to read the script for the first time.

The event was held on  MBC Dream Center, Ilsan. The place filled with laughter and jokes, there’s no strict gap between seniors and juniors. The official said the atmospher during the reading session (about five hour) was so warm and friendly, but they still work professionally and serious.

The filming will begin on January 31st, this drama will replace “The Moon That Embraces The Sun” start on March 14th.

On that drama, Ha Ji Won will play as Kim Hang Ah, a top special elite agent from North. She’s a trained female soldier, brave, strong, and very dedicated to her work until she had no time to think about her personal life. She has never fallen in love before. She’s really genius on her job but so pure and innocent about love matter.

Meanwhile, on monarchy constitutional country on South, there’s a spoiled crown prince, Lee Jae Ha (played by Lee Seung Gi). He has a handsome face, but selfish and blunt, because he doesn’t care about the throne and politics.

Then on tricky circumstances Kim Hang Ah and Lee Jae Ha meet each other because of their status as special agent and as a prince, and eventually they fall in love with each other. Sounds cliche indeed, but this drama is Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi’s works, so it will be a must watch drama for us.

After  knowing their characters, i can say that these roles are made for them. For a genius and strong special agent, Kim Hang Ah, frankly I can’t think of another name,but  Ha Ji Won. Meanwhile for the spoiled prince Lee Jae Ha, actually it reminds me about Lee Seung Gi’s role on “Brilliant Legacy”. Oh i can’t wait to watch their duet…March, i beg you to come faster! May i skipFebruary? Oh i’m dying here…

Say goodbye for Gumiho, and say hello for Ha Ji Won, because next she will become Lee Seung Gi’s girlfriend on “The King”.

Now, the most I curious about is how Ha Ji Won’s appearance in this drama to look match for her younger boyfriend. I know she can, because she’s always twenty years old look. In the drama from PD Lee Jae Kyu (Beethoven Virus) Ha Ji Won will play as Kim Hang Ah, a genius special force agent from North who will be married to the loser-spoiled-crown prince from South, Lee Jae Ha (Lee Seung Gi).

“The King” becomes the most anticipated drama for this early year since filled with these top stars. Actually this is also a reunion project for Ha Ji Won and the writers, Hong Jin Ah-Hong Ja Ram, they also writers for “Damo”.

Yeaaaay… i’m really excited about this. Finally on these chilly days there’s a good news for us. On January 10, Ha Ji Won’s agency announced that she’s positive to be involved on new drama “The King” and the filming will be start at the end of January because this drama planned to begin  airing around March.

But actually, this good news isn’t yet perfect since the  actor  for leading man hassn’t yet to be confirmed. Jo In Sung, who’s also offered this project hasn’t given the answer. As “What Happened In Bali”‘s lover,  I’m dying waiting for them to reunite.

“The King” tells about love story between North and South Korean. I don’t wanna talk about this drama more before all things are confirmed because i’m afraid I will be disappointed, now i’m just looking for next good news.

On December 9th, MBC official announced that new drama “The King” (더 킹) has been determined the potential casts. After seven years through “What Happened In Bali” in 2004 , they plan to pair Ha Ji Won and Jo In Sung again on one frame!

I know, as one of biggest fans of “What Happened in Bali” this is a really really good news for me, but i don’t want to be happy this early  before the filming process begin and they show us this “Bali couple” really work together again. But I think their involvement is almost certain since Jo In Sung’s movie project “Kwon Bup” has been postponed and Ha Ji Won’s new movie “Korea” has finished filming process. So technically there is nothing to prevent them to be involved in this drama. So far, for the casts are still on negotiating process, Ha Ji Won and Jo In Sung still consider the offer.

I can’t talk too much about “The King” and what exactly the storyline about because the drama is still on process. But as i know this is a fantasy mellow drama about an arranged married between a King from south and the princess from north. If the whole process run smoothly this drama will be ready to start airing on early 2012.
