Special stills of Ha Ji Won from movie “Korea” were (코리아) published. Since she acts as table tennis athlete who always wears the short sport pants, most of the photos showed her beauty legs.

There is one photo where Ha Ji Won portrays Hyun Jung Hwa very detail. At her time, Hyun Jung Hwa was chosen as cosmetic brand ambassador, and for this movie Ha Ji Won was covering her pose. Finally, the most anticipated movie “Korea” (코리아) ready to be released on May. On April 4th at CGV Apgujung they held the press conference of the movie. Besides the actors, Ha Ji Won, Bae Doo Na, Park Cheol Min, Lee Jung Suk, Han Ye Ri, and more, the real main character of this movie, Korean table tennis coach-executive director, Hyun Jung Hwa, also came to that event.

Hyun Jung Hwa said that she was really excited when she heard that her (and Korean people’s) historical moment was planned to be adapted on movie. It was when she played alongside with a North mate, Lee Bun Hee, got gold medal on Table Tennis Championship at Chiba on 1991. She decided to be directly involved in the whole  filming process, as an executive director, including the casting process.

Ha Ji Won chosen by Hyun Jung Hwa to portray herself, she was the special request. She thought Ha Ji Won was the most eligible actress for that role. She realized that it was too hard to make actresses transformed into a professional table tennis athlete within 3 months,  but then she knew that  Ha Ji Won was always very  passionate on each of her role in movie and drama and also has a fighting spirit like an athlete. It was the right decision because Ha Ji Won learned table tennis so fast. Meanwhile, other main characters, Bae Doo Na (actually) was born to be a table tennis athlete, she played tennis like a pro.

This press conference was quite unique. If we use to see the actors and actress wear pretty, neat, and fashionable clothes, yesterday the whole characters use national athlete uniform. They didn’t bring South flag on their badge but the flag of reunification. I know what message they’re sending to the public, the dream about reunification.

The whole characters looked so happy they can contribute to this movie that based on true story, to show their support to peace and togetherness. This is not an only-sport-movie, this movie will full of tears and emotions.

This movie reveals about the story behind the international table tennis championship on 1991 at Chiba (Japan) which unite the two ‘brothers’, South Korea and North Korea, in an international event. Their athletes, Hyun Jung Hwa (Ha Ji Won) from South and Lee Bun Hee (Bae Doo Na) from North, shows the sisterhood while they both play on the doubles, and for their hard work, they won the gold medal.

“Korea” not only entertaining, this movie also bring big mission to teach us about peacef and togetherness.

Therefore, on May, Ha Ji Won’s fans will be pampered, because they have lots of chances to see her not only on small screen through “The King 2Hearts”, but also on bis screen.

The stills from new movie “Korea” were unveiled, showing the main characters: Hyeon Jeong Hwa (played by Ha Ji Won) and Lee Boon Hee (Bae Doo Na). From their expression can be seen that as athletes  they are really serious and passionate to fight for their country. Ha Ji Won and Bae Doo Na looked convincing as table tennis athletes since they both got table tennis training before the production and during the production. Their skills may be as good as the any other athlete.

Both actresses are usual with physical training. When she was young, Bae Doo Na was known as table tennis athlete, she’s very talented. And for Ha Ji Won, it’s too easy  make her to sweating, right? She learns quickly and she also has skill as professional athlete.

Besides that picture, there’s also another still which showed Ha Ji Won while training one-on-one with the real national table tennis athlete , Hyeon Jeong Hwa. On that picture as if Ha Ji Won  was transformed into the real athlete and became serious and concentrate receiving  instructions from her coach.

Because this movie tells about her, besides training and visiting them often on location,  Hyeon Jeong Hwa also gives some advices and more supports for them.  “Korea” is based on true story,  tells about Hyeon Jeong Hwa’s participation on China International Table Tennis Championship on 1991, one of the rare moments that can make South and North became together.

“Korea” planned to be released on the first half of this year, so maybe on early spring. Besides Ha Ji Won and Bae Doo Na, this movie also featuring Oh Jung Se, Han Ye Ri, Choi Yoon Yeong and Park Yeong Seo.
