For December issue, Singles magazine put our gorgeous guy, Gong Yoo, as it’s cover story. Gong Yoo took the photoshoot in Jeju island, with gloomy and blue toned representing winter season, Gong Yoo looks dreamy and mysterious in winter collection.

Meanwhile, in the interview he talks about his  two latest movies, “Crucible” (2012) and “Suspect” (2013). Due to  the long process filming of “Suspect”, which is spent almost two years production, Gong Yoo feels bonding with all the crew, they become one family. He thinks this movie is the result from their hard work for almost two years.  “Suspect” is immediately released and the promotion begins, for him the movie is burden since Gong Yoo feels responsible as being part of this family.

Then, through “Crucible” he learned everything and changed his perspective. The book and the movie brought the big values for his life. Actually he had a bittersweet feeling about “Crucible.” The story was really sad but he felt relieved that the movie managed to make people aware about the child abuse and disable issues. The world has to know this heartbreaking story.

Back to the pictorial, Gong Yoo looks splendid and handsome while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Jeju island. This edition is absolutely too precious to be missed, i have to got one!!

Gong Yoo Becomes The Cover for Japanese Magazine “Kanstyle” This Summer https://kdramachoa.com/gong-yoo-becomes-the-cover-for-japanese-magazine-kanstyle-this-summer/ https://kdramachoa.com/gong-yoo-becomes-the-cover-for-japanese-magazine-kanstyle-this-summer/#respond Fri, 13 Jul 2012 15:00:13 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=23730

I just realized that summer belongs to Gong Yoo, mostly of his projects released on summer, and all of them became success, such as the drama that make him became heartthrob for so many girls, Coffee Prince, that released on summer 2007, then on late summer last year when he released heartbreaking movie “Crucible” that managed to makes me depressed, and recently through “Big” once again he shows the magic of summer.

And his status as Hallyu star getting solid since in this summer his face can be found on cover of Japanese entertainment magazine “Kanstyle” for July and August edition. Since summer last year, Gong Yoo had been enjoying his popularity on Japan due to the succes of drama “Coffee Prince” on that country. He also appeared as cover on another magazine “Monster”.

On ‘Kanstyle” cover  he appeared with his best smile,  looks simple, warm and cute. Just because of Gong Yoo I love the summer…

The Crucible, Gong Yoo with his ‘students’.

Go Soo (The Front Line), looked so happy, oh yeah…his movie got so many nominations that night.

Yoon Kye Sang, actualy I’m used to seeing him with glasses. He looked different that night…

Nam Gyu Ri, as always, looked like a doll.

Lee Min Jung with bright red, looked so fresh and gave us something different that night.

Gong Yoo as Best Actor Nominator on 32nd Blue Dragon Award https://kdramachoa.com/gong-yoo-as-best-actor-nominator-on-32nd-blue-dragon-award/ https://kdramachoa.com/gong-yoo-as-best-actor-nominator-on-32nd-blue-dragon-award/#respond Fri, 18 Nov 2011 16:23:46 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=15275

He really deserved it, but i think not as the nominator but as the winner. right? ;)

Through his role in “Crucible” (도가니) or “Silenced”, not only make this movie success as boxoffice movie and being screen on theaters all over the world, but the most important is he managed to tell the world about human right issue especially for diffable people. This movie is from Gong Ji Yeong’s novel “Melting Pot”, based on true story about child sexual abuse at difable school happened in 2005.

Besides best actor list, “Crucible”, or “Silenced” for overseas title, also get other nominations:

Best Movie, Best Director (Hwang Dong Hyuk), Best Actress (Jung Yoo Mi), Best Supporting Actor, Best Music, and Best Screenplay (Hwang Gong Hyuk). But this movie has heavy competitors such as “Front Line” (Go Soo), “Sunny”(Min Hyo Rin), “The Yellow Sea” (Kim Yoon Seok) , “Blind”(Kim Ha Neul)  and many more.

The Front Line

The 32nd Blue Dragon Award will be held on November 25th at Hall of Peace KyungHee University. There will be 22 movies that will compete for this event. The nominees are chosen by professional on film industry.

Personally,  i really hope Gong Yoo can win that award due to his role as Kang In Ho, the teacher who help the miserable students revealed their agonies  on heartbreaking movie “Crucible”, but i think the other nominators also deserved for that for that award, so no matter he get the award or failed,  i still love him, he has worked very well.

Before this,  I felt a little disappointed of Gong Yoo’s Pictorial, but finally I my disappointment paid off, because actually there are still more photos on Harper’s Bazaar magazine for October issue. And this time i can see his face clearly.

Still in Portugal while enjoying exotic scenery of this country. He posed so natural, he looked like a professional model.

Now, as an actor of course he feels proud and satisfied because his movie “Crucible”, placing on number one on Box Office chart for a few weeks since officially released on September 22. Even this movie already recorded more three million viewers on third weeks. his hard work for this heart-breaking movie is not in vain. Congratulation Gong Yoo-ssi, so nice to know your movie gets success but it would be more fun if you come back soon on small screen.. ;)

Gong Yoo in Portugal for Harper’s Bazaar https://kdramachoa.com/gong-yoo-in-portugal-for-harpers-bazaar/ https://kdramachoa.com/gong-yoo-in-portugal-for-harpers-bazaar/#comments Thu, 22 Sep 2011 05:45:52 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=14001

These photos are not really my favorite, but because this is Gong Yoo ,I feel obliged to post his photos in our site. For this photo shoot, in his tight schedule, recently Gong Yoo flew to Portugal.

But first time I saw these photos, I wonder, they flew away to Portugal but I  can’t see clearly his face on these photos?? Not even a single photo?! Too bad for me. Gong Yoo looks enjoying the exotic scenery of Portugal. This pictorial will appear on Harper’s Bazaar for October issue.

His movie, “Crucible” , that based on true story novel “Melting Pot” (Gong Ji Yeong), officially released today (September 22nd). First time he read this novel while he was in the army, he was very touched with the story. He then decided that if this novel will be brought on to the big screen, he would absolutely join on that project. So glad for him, after he discharged from army, his agency offered this heartbreaking movie.

The Trailer and More Poster from “Crucible” https://kdramachoa.com/the-trailer-and-more-poster-from-crucible/ https://kdramachoa.com/the-trailer-and-more-poster-from-crucible/#respond Sat, 03 Sep 2011 06:18:05 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=12937

Based on Gong Ji Yeong’s true story novel,  “Crucible” becomes the most anticipated movie for this autumn. As planned, this movie will be released on September 22.

On 2005, the terrible accident happened on a difable school. A number of deaf students become victims of child sexual abuse, and ironically the danger is in the school. Gong Yoo appeared different from usual, here he becomes a serious figure. In this movie he plays as an art teacher who reveals the sexual abuse cases on his school. Along with Jung Yoo Mi, he tried to save his students and reach the justice for them, his beloved students.

You can have a sneak peek of this heartbreaking story from this video teasers. Only watch the trailer made me sad and mournful.  Maybe it’s too hertbreaking to be watched, but it’s real, it really happened and human rights issues need our concern. This gloomy movie tells the truth, and that’s why it worths watching.

The heartbreaking true story will be revealed  through “Crucible” starts on September 22nd. This movie tells about humanity issue, about difable sexual abuse  cases, based on true story that happened on 2005 about sexual abuse case to a deaf student.

The leading man, Gong Yoo, admitted that filming of this movie was very hard and tiring, not physically but emotionally. Gong Yoo acts as an art teacher on difable school who will help his teacher to find the justice. It’s hard not to get carried away by the feelings while filming this movie. As human beings we must be emotionally affected on this tragical story.

Through this movie, everyone involved in this production hopes that the movie can reveal the truth, and open our eyes about the human rights issues especially for difable.
