Ham Eun Jeong – Korean Drama Choa https://kdramachoa.com Liking Korean Drama, Music, and Movie Thu, 16 Aug 2012 07:37:20 +0000 en-US hourly 1 New SBS Weekend Drama “Five Fingers” Press Conference https://kdramachoa.com/new-sbs-weekend-drama-five-fingers-press-conference/ https://kdramachoa.com/new-sbs-weekend-drama-five-fingers-press-conference/#comments Thu, 16 Aug 2012 07:33:27 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=24419 Joo Ji Hoon’s fans everywhere must be so excited welcoming him again on small screen through drama “Five Fingers“. Following up “Gentleman’s Dignity” which had finished last week with a nice happy ending, SBS new weekend drama “Five Fingers” is ready for its first broadcast this Saturday, August 18. And today, August 16, the official was holding the press conference at Lotte Hotel, Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. All the leading casts of the drama, Joo Ji Hoon, Ji Chang Wook, Ham Eun Jeong and Chae Si Ra, as well as Jeon Mi Seon attended the event. They all looked neat and classy in suits and dark color dresses.

Let’s see a bit more detail.

Joo Ji Hoon, “I’m back to home theater after a long time.” I like his purple suits…I never thought that purple suit could suit a man that nice. But seeing right down to the shoe…hmmm no socks? (or below ankle socks)

Ji Chang Wook, “I’ll show you an awful villain.” Our good boy Donghae (he’s famous for his drama “Smile Donghae”) will transform into an awful villain for the first time, and I’m personally look forward to watching it. But today Ji Chang Wook looks awesome as always. And about his appearance on this event…wait, that checkered grey suit remind me of Cheon Jeong Myeong’s when he attended Go Soo’s wedding, BUT Ji Chang Wook’s version is waaaaayyyy better. No hideous tie and the pattern looks smooth…

Which one is your favorite? :) Fashion wise… I prefer Ji Chang Wook :D He might not be as tall as Jo Ji Hoon, but at this event, with his fresh hairstyle, handsome smile, nice suit and those cool shoes…Ji Chang Wook was perfect.

And here comes the ladies…

This is Ham Eun Jeong’s first public appearance after T-Ara’s crisis. Some has lost their respects for T-Ara’s members, but Ham Eun Jeong looked fine in that event. Despite T-Ara’s crisis, I think she will give her best in acting for this drama. She attended the event with innocent-girl style with simple black dress but attractive red shoes. I’m not a fan of Eun Jeong’s legs, but I loooooovvveee those shoes!

Jeon Mi Seon with her simple but sexy dress…She’s probably an ajumma, but she doesn’t look like one at all. She’s just a beautiful lady. I saw an episode of KBS “Happy Together” when she became the guest star along with some other casts of “Ojakgyo Brothers”. I remember Jung Woong In once said that any drama having Jeon Mi Seon in it are those high ranking ones. If that’s how it really works with her, let’s hope for the best for “Five Fingers.”

And last but not least, and my most favorite from the event: Chae Si Ra. She looked so perfect! I don’t mind her looked-like-exaggerate necklace, because her dress won all the attention. I just simply love her dress. So unique and sexy. She’s probably not young anymore, but see her body line….don’t you envy her?

Again, which one is your favorite? :D

And I like these candid pics:

Shy arm…

Let me tell you a secret…

Oh these adorable boys.. :)

Dream High Episode 16 Summary (Final) https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-16-summary-final/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-16-summary-final/#comments Fri, 04 Mar 2011 09:33:44 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6940 I can’t believe this drama was really over. I can say Dream High is one of the most creative Korean dramas ever. The concept was fresh, the casts had succeeded to turn people doubt into acknowledgement, the plot was very dynamic and the soundtracks were great. I actually couldn’t wait to write this summary as soon as I watched the episode, but unfortunately I just got the time today.

Dream High group was facing a problem that they might not be able to release their debut soon. It’s because they had Baek Hee and Jin Guk, whom the public still talk about regarding their scandal with their previous director. Baek Hee and Jin Guk said the rest of the group should go on without them, but everyone disagree. They had to stick together.

Hye Mi got more confused with her own feelings. She got awkward everytime Sam Dong approached her in a very friendly gesture. She asked Pil Sook what could be happening to her feelings, how could she know who’s the person she really liked. Pil Sook just said what she had said before, and then Jason interrupted. He said Hye Mi had to draw the line seriously. She couldn’t confuse two hearts, she had to decide whom her heart belonged to. We know that Hye Mi always hoped it was Jin Guk, but actually her heart called for Sam Dong. She tried to convince herself that Sam Dong was just a friend…but let’s see how hard could she try.

Hye Mi and Baek Hee had an idea how they could draw people’s attention to Dream High. They planned to make a public scene. They “persuaded” (with various kinds of tricks) their friends at Kirin to help them with their plan. There was this one weirdly clumsy photographer who put his eye on Dream High activity. We still didn’t know what he was up to.

Later that night, Sam Dong approached Jin Guk to tell him he’s giving up on Hye Mi. He said what really mattered to him was Hye Mi’s presence by his side no matter whom her heart fell into. He didn’t care if Hye Mi turned out to really like Jin Guk and hated him, as long as she wasn’t going to US. Jin Guk stayed quite when Sam Dong spoke. When Sam Dong asked him what’s with that look he had for him, Jin Guk only said “Rrrr, you seem to never change, always make people has a goosebumps.”

Hye Mi’s dad was starting to be supportif, though he’s still proceeding his plan to bring his daughter to US. Until that night he caught in an argument with Kang Oh Seon that he finally knew what really happened to his late wife and what Oh Yeok had done for his family. He wept all night, and Oh Yeok finally explained to him the real story.

The public scene really worked. Yang Jin Man acted as the front line. He caught everyone’s attention when he stopped in the middle of a crowd, turned on Dream High’s song, and started to dance. The Dream High members and “appointed” Kirin students disguised as regular passers by slowly, one by one, joined him dancing.

Go Byung Jik was watching his happy daughter danced with her friends. Oh Yeok spoke to him about Hye Mi’s hard process to get to this point. Her friends played a big part in her improvement.

Kang Oh Yeok and Ms. Shi were excitedly watching the on-line video of Dream High’s public scene the other day when they accidently kissed. They turned awkward after that, but Ms.Shi suddenly changed into a cute cheeky girl. More hilariously, Principal Shi had to witness all that with his own eyes.

The Dream High got a chance to on the stage! That’s a big news. Kang Oh Yeok delivered them to Sam Dong, Hye Mi and Jin Guk…and the three instantly hold each other and celebrated it. It took awhile for Hye Mi to realize that she’s holding Sam Dong ;p

Everyone was happy, but also very nervous about their first time being on tge big stage to promote their debut album. Jason had to comfort Pil Sook. Jin Guk was trying to have a little chit chat with Sam Dong when he found out that Sam Dong hearing was badly degrade. Sam Dong couldn’t even hear what he just said. Hye Mi then found out about it and truned to be very worry. But Sam Dong insisted that he’s okay and anyone shouldn’t worry about him.

The showcase went successful.

Hye Mi was carrying some laundry down stairs when Sam Dong offered her a hand. It turned out that Hye Mi had been avoiding him. However, Sam Dong caught her and took the laundry from her hand. That’s when her wallet dropped under the stair without her notice. Jin Guk came out and asked her out. The awkward Hye Mi instantly said yes and hurriedly went out with him. Just before Jin Guk’s motorbike ready to go, Hye Mi realized she had lost her wallet.

Sam Dong coincidently found Hye Mi’s wallet under the stairs. He opened it and saw the Dream High group picture in it. What he didn’t see it coming was when he was about to take out the Dream High picture, he was his own photograph beneath it! What the…?

Oh My God. So it was officially announced to whom Hye Mi’s heart fell. And that, everyone, was a very handsome picture of Sam Dong ;) . Go Hye Mi…gotcha!

Hye Mi freaked out seeing Sam Dong holding her wallet. She asked him if he opened it and saw something. Sam Dong acted very well, as if he never saw anything so shockingly made him happy.

Jin Guk brought Hye Mi to their memorable place. It was the first time Jin Guk saw Hye Mi cried and he put on a helmet on her head. He did the same thing this time. It was on that spot Hye Mi finally told him about her true feelings, and Jin Guk support her as a friend and as a gentleman whose heart fell for her.

Kang Oh Yeok was summoned to the principal office because the announcement for students who succeeded to go on to the EMC audition had arrived. Principal Shi then said that if not because her daughter was in love with him, he wouldn’t Oh Yeok got away. Kang Oh Yeok was so surprise. “D-d-did you say Ms. Shi in love with me? Really?”

Kang Oh Yeok got two good news on the same day: all the Dream High members succeeded to go to the next audition of EMC and Ms. Shi was in love with him.  The students was very nervous about the announcement.

At first they didn’t believe that all their names were written on that announcement letter, but when Oh Yeok showed them and confirmed that he wasn’t joking around, the kids couldn’t hold their emotion of happiness.

Ms. Shi shared her feelings of proud to the kids with Oh Yeok. Felt like all their hard works paid off. They just one step away from fulfilling their biggest dream. The chosen two talents who were successful on the up coming audition were going to US to start working on their first album there.

Oh Yeok then made his move to ask Ms.Shi out for dinner…

The director of EMC turned out to be the clumsy photographer. That’s a little surprise. Everyone was so excited and very nervous. No one would let go of the chance go to US to make his/her dream came true. Even Sam Dong who said, “I think being the best was a going to be lonely and hard. However, I still want to be the best and will never let the chance go.”

And so the audition started. Everyone prayed and did for their best.

The country boy who was introduced to his dream by Hye Mi…

Pil Sook who hoped for the best…

Jason: “Is it my time already? I said, IS IT MY TIME?”

Jin Guk who never believe there such a thing as a foolish dream…so everydream was worth it and valuable.

Baek Hee who still believed that she had always been the special kid eversince her mother was carrying her.

Hye Mi, who always be confident…she said she thought she knew how the story would end…

2018.

The soft Pil Sook’s voice singing lullaby brought us to the future. We could see her wall of fame. She became IU and was very successful with all the trophies and albums… but she ended up there, singing a lullaby for some kids who were sleeping peacefully. She turned out to be a kindergarten teacher. She gained her weight again, but she’s very happy. And yes, Jason was still attached to her like he always had been. He became a professional entertainer and still got the spot light. He asked Pil Sook to go to the special concert that night.

They both still in love and happy. The big question was…”did they end up married or what?” I wished they made it more obvious about our most favourite and adorable couple T_T .

Yoon Baek Hee became the second Ms. Shi. She was a teacher at Kirin and was the strict one. She made her new students did the 200-pins-picking-in-5-minutes activity just like Ms. Shi did to her.

Ms. Shi became the Art Director at Kirin, while Oh Yeok was still a teacher. But we found out that they ended up married and had a daughter named Min Hee.

Until this stage I still guessed that Jin Guk was the K singer who was performing at the Grammy Awards. He was a very successful singer. He had released some successful albums at home country and abroad. And Ma Doo Shik was still as his manager.

Ma Doo Shik ran a happy life. He got a successful star like Jin Guk and a happy family with Kang Oh Seon.

Jin Guk came back to Korea to attend this special concert at night, just like what Jason had said to Pil Sook. So it had to be their first reunion after a very long time… And then Jin Guk saw the news about the Korean singer performing on Grammy and about his dad.

So the singer K was actually…Sam Dong. We could tell from the tuning fork. And from the soundless background, we kind of knew that he lived in a quite world, even though he was the world class singer then.

The scene went flashback, to the time when Sam Dong was about to leave for US. He refused to leave because he didn’t want to leave Hye Mi, while Hye Mi insisted him on going. He said Hye Mi was always his reason in music. “Without you, there’s no music,” he assured Hye Mi.

Hye Mi then asked him to free her from worrying him. She wanted him to show her that he could be independent and be the cool and handsome guy who stole her heart. Hye Mi was sending him away even though it hurt her. She wanted him to make his dream come true.

And so Sam Dong left.

The future K singer was ready to go on stage. Everybody was calling out his name. But this singer heard nothing. And he did a brave thing, he took off his hearing aid and gave it to the stage director. That man asked him, “Are you sure about it?” With a big smile on his face, Sam Dong answered, “I always am.”

The future in Korea, at the very same time… it turned out to be Hye Mi’s concert everyone was talking about. She became a very famous singer. (didn’t she look like Yoon Eun Hye to you?). Hye Mi was made a brief speech before her song. She said this song was very special, dearly dedicated for someone very special in her heart. And when I heard the intro for “Only Hope”, I knew she was talking about Sam Dong. She then sang the song beautifully…

All her old friends were there: Baek Hee, the couple Jason-Pil Sook, Kang Oh Yeok and Ms. Shi, Yang Jin Man…

Jin Gook watched from afar. A highschool girl played a trick to kiss him. He made the “who she thinks she is dares to kiss a star like me without my permission” look on his face. The girl said hello, “It’s been a long time, oppa.” And then she showed him her name: Go Hye Seong.

Jin Guk: “Is it really you, Hye Seong-a?” And if I may continue the line, i’d add, “how could you turn to be such a pretty girl??” :D

And we back again to the 2011 Sam Dong and Hye Mi. Sam Dong was already on the bus. It took Hye Mi some moment to assure herself about what she really need to do that very moment. So she ran after the bus, just like Sam Dong did when Hye Mi was leaving for Seoul on their first sweet moments. The bus stopped. Hye Mi knocked on Sam Dong’s window.

She put the special K pendant around Sam Dong’s neck wihout saying anything. And then Sam Dong reached out for her face. And then they kissed.

And the drama was officially over. It has a sweet ending and has given us a very good and memorable show. I really hope Bae Yeong Joon and Park Jin Yeong will consider to make Dream High 2…. so we’ll know what really happened in between 2011 and 2018.

Thanks for following my writing…i’ll see you in the next project ;)

Dream High Episode 15 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-15-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-15-summary/#respond Sun, 27 Feb 2011 11:50:54 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6855 Hye Mi was leaving for USA, that’s the biggest issue in this episode. But the biggest news had to be Jason-Pil Sook relationship! They kissed…well, not practically on screen kissing, but let’s just say they did.

Ma Doo Shik officially recruited Sam Dong and three ex-K group. Sam Dong’s self esteem was high. He asked Jin Guk about their competition and said that he was ready to have a fair man to man competition.

Hye Mi was overwhelmed by her own feelings. She was confused which one of the boys she really liked, Jin Guk or Sam Dong? So when Sam Dong called her from the other side of the bridge, she ran. Sam Dong caught up with her and asked why she fled. Ridiculously Hye Mi said she was just exercising.

Kang Oh Yeok got a shocking surprise as soon as he arrived at home. The fact that Go Byung Jik was standing right in front of him was very overwhelming. Hye Seong was very excited having her dad around, while Hye Mi…she welcomed her dad with some soft punches. Seeing his daughters lived with a couple of boys, he got concern. He told Oh Yeok he’s bringing his daughters to the US. Hye Mi deserved to continue her dream in classical music…to Julliard. Mr.Go insisted they’re staying at the hotel until all the required documents were completed. Oh Yeok was letting Hye Mi go because all he wanted was the best for her, but he successfully persuaded Mr.Go to stay overnight. The boys had to share their bedroom with Hye Mi’s dad.

Jin Guk wasn’t asking Hye Mi to stay either. He congratulated her instead. He said finally she could reach her dream and he’s happy for her. Hye Mi just thanked him cheerfully.

Unlike Jin Guk, Sam Dong asked her to stay…he needed her to stay, but he didn’t know what kind of reason he had to make. Hye Mi was listening to him from behind the door. I bet her heart was beating fast.

Go Byung Jik woke his daughters in the middle of the night. He brought them out of Oh Yeok’s house. I thought it’s gonna be a hotel like he said…but reality wasn’t that sweet. He’s not yet a successful person again, though couldn’t be said as pennyless, so instead of bringing them to the hotel, he made them sleep at sauna house.

The boys were panic, where they should find Hye Mi. They looked for her here and there. Sam Dong looked very desperate. He said he needed to find her immediately because he seemed unable to breathe if she’s gone. Hye Mi was actually taking her time alone walking around the city and ended up at school. Bek Hee met her at the gate.

Ma Doo Shik had prepared a song for the new group’s debut. He got the old song, and Oh Yeok was inspired to combine it with the song Sam Dong composed. Ms.Shi said Sam Dong had named it Dream High. Ma Doo Shik then agreed to make that as the group name.

Go Byung Jik confronted Oh Yeok at school thinking he was the one who persuaded Hye Mi to go. He bursted put saying “After you seduced my wife and made her leave without a word, now you want to take my daughter too?” Ms. Shi was shocked by the news. Ma Doo Shik soon brought up the old debt issue he still owed him. Oh Yeok told Hye Mi not to worry about the debt and just go to US with her dad, and they could just stay at Kang residence before their flight. Kang Oh Yeok really had an angel heart!! Mr.Go should have had ashame on that, but he all he knew was taking away his daughter to US to study classical music again, but then he agreed to stay at the Kang residence while they’re waiting for the documents were ready.

ksljkfsofiidgh

Ms.Shi was sad that Oh Yeok could be such a man who dared to seduced a married woman. But she still had a faith in him. There had to be something wrong with that news. Yang Jin Man tried to make her heart sway, but he failed.

Hye Mi went out rounding about the town again. Jin Guk finally found her on the street crossing. Why it’s always at the street crossing for their meeting spot? Anyway, Hye Mi was trying to figure out what to so. Should she stay or should she go. Jin Guk told her to just follow her heart and he would support her whatever her decision was.

Jason made Pil Sook invited to be the guest for a TV show. She was so cute and did great. But Jason was so worry when he found out that they’re bringing up Pil Sook old image as an extra-large girl. Surprisingly, she handled it very well. She didn’t freak out, she went along with the topic. When the presenter asked, “how big was it 84 kg?” Pil Sook cutely pointing the bear and said, “it’s probably about that big.”

And that’s everyone, was the “i’m proud of you” expression Jason had on his face.

Jason and Pil Sook went to this beautiful building to talk. Pil Sook said she felt grateful to be in Kirin, despite her old condition. She passed the audition, met some good friends…and also met him. Jason then said there’s actually one person who still liked the fat Pil Sook.

He finally showed Pil Sook whose picture he had as his home screen cell phone. It’s her! it turned out that Jason had been keeping the fat Pil Sook picture. Ooooohhh…

Jason then teased her by pretending to lean forward to kiss her, but instead he kissed the doll. Pil Sook protested and left, but Jason made her stay.

Ouughh Jason! He just had a gut to kiss her nose?!! are you a man or what? Then it made Pil Sook shot the right action.

Hye Mi demanded the truth from Oh Yeok about her mom. She didn’t believe if Oh Yeok did really seduce her, so she asked if her mom was just a bitch. Oh Yeok finally told the truth. Hye Mi’s mom was very sick and she didn’t want to make her love ones suffer. So when she met her foolish old friend -the friend who was one sided love with her for years- she asked him to help her pretend to be a bad mother and wife, so then the family would move on easily after she gone. So then we knew that foolish guy was Oh Yeok and yes he was really an angel. And thankfully, Ms.Shi heard everything….

Sam Dong asked Jin Guk to hold on to Hye Mi to make her stay. He just didn’t care if Hye Mi’s heart was only for Jin Guk because what matter was her presence around him. He said he didn’t have any reason to ask her stay, but he couldn’t let her go.

The next day the Go Family was ready to go. Sam Dong didn’t come out to say goodbye. Hye Mi was still in doubt. It took awhile for Sam Dong to realize that he couldn’t just stay and not saying goodbye. For Sam Dong, Hye Mi was not only the girl he liked, she also the key person who brought him the light to let him to see what his dream was. She deceived him to come to Kirin, but it’s nothing to regret for Sam Dong. Whatever made him he was that far, it all thanked to Hye Mi. But he had to see her for the last time, so he ran…

He thought the bus was leaving, so he tried to run after it, but he failed. When he started to cry -almost- histerically, Hye Mi came from behind saying she’s not leaving. Hye Mi asked her father to let her finish working on their debut. It’d take one month and then she’d go.

The Dream High members and management were ready for their first album. Everyone worked hard.  The students practiced hard. Yang Jin Man and Ms. Shi guided them for choreography and song composition. Ma Doo Shik was busy making the album and promoted it to the TV station. So everyone was ready to make his/her dream came true…

One more episode to go…we’re gonna miss this drama. Taecyeon had already saying goodbye to his character, Jin Guk, yesterday…so they had wrapped up the drama officially. We’ll see tomorrow how it’ll end. Hopefully it’s giving us interesting surprises that will make this drama stay in our mind for along time. Have a nice weekend everyone ;) .

Dream High Episode 14 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-14-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-14-summary/#comments Thu, 24 Feb 2011 23:30:00 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6801 This episode was about Jin Guk’s big scandal which truth was soon going to be revealed. Baek Hee was in a severe desperation and Hye Mi came as a friend in need…so what really happened that night?

Remember when Baek Hee told Ms.Shi that Director Yoon was giving her another chance? It turned to be a dirty deal. That unfortunate night Baek Hee came to Dir.Yoon office…and no one would’ve ever known what happened to her if Jin Guk hadn’t accidently showed up in Dir.Yoon’s office. The drama didn’t show any dirty scene, but looking at Jin Guk’s brutal action, we kind of knew it had to be really ugly. Baek Hee told Hye Mi what really happened.

Hyeon Moo Jin picked up Jin Guk to go together to the hospital where Dir.Yoon was hospitalized. They’re about to make a public apologize. Jin Guk held his emotion to be plain and tried to be sincere in apologizing. But Dir.Yoon seemed to think that no one’s going to blow the whistle and his crime would never be exposed. Jin Guk wouldn’t say anything if he didn’t want to ruin Baek Hee’s name. Dir.Yoon snapped Jin Guk’s head several times and on the last attempt, Hyeon Moo Jin blocked him.

Kang Oh Yeok and Ms. Shi heard that Jin Guk’s scandal was related to Baek Hee, so they asked her to tell them what really happened that night. Kang Oh Yeok and Ms. Shi weren’t ready to hear the truth: Baek Hee was molested.

Baek Hee decided to make a report to the police. Hye Mi tried to stop him because it’d cost her own name, but Baek Hee couldn’t just stay quite and let all the blame was on Jin Guk. The real bastard should be punished. She talked to Hye Mi on the phone and asked er to sing their Kirin’s audition song: the Goose’s Dream. Hye Mi sang the song with teary eyes…this scene was very touching.

The news was spread instantly. Dir.Yoon paid for his crime.

While people were whispering about her, Jin Guk approached her to ask how she was. Baek Hee then made an official thanks to Jin Guk. She also told him about her being alone in love, and how she respected Jin Guk’s feeling to Hye Mi. The most important thing was they’re all best friends.

Regarding Dir.Yoon’s scandal, the school had to decide what’s going to happen to Group K members. Principal Shi seemed to unwilling to support Baek Hee, but Ms. Shi, his daughter, argued him hard for the first time.

The father and son  spent the day together. They rode on the ferris wheel again after a very long time.

Kang Oh Yeok persuaded Mr.Ma to consider other students to be recruited: Sam Dong, Baek Hee and Jin Guk.

There’s another audition announcement. Everybody was very excited. The six students gathered at the canteen and declared their commitment to go on to the audition together. Well, it’s gonna be so exciting if six of them were in the same group, wasn’t it?

Hye Mi was suspicious about Jason and Pil Sook. She asked how Pil Sook could be sure that Jason was the person she liked. Pil Sook said that he was the first person she thought in every situation.

Ms.Shi was turning way softer…no, she’s just in love. How could she had such an idea of putting that huge flower-hair-pin on her hair? Ma Doo Shik was looking for her. He offered her a role as the mentor for the next young talents in Mr. Ma’s agency.

Hye Mi, Jin Guk and Sam Dong were discussing the video concept for the audition. Kang Oh Yeok overheard them and said that all they needed to do was show who themselves and how much they had improved as a person. So the three started to had this bubble-thought in their minds…Oh, I was glad they gave us this kind of scene again! They’re so cute…

And then the three of them started to bring up their memories of each other. Jin Guk started by saying how much Hye Mi used sing like a robot,,,emotionless when singing the Goose’s Dream at the audition. Hye Mi started to lift up her memories when she first met Sam Dong, and Sam Dong reminded her about the lousy dance she had back then…the conversation went on and resulted Jin Guk to be the least to share stories. Well, practically, he wasn’t around much from the beginning and he realized Sam Dong beat him at this point.

So when he was in his room and Hye Seong approached him, he asked which one she liked the most…him or Sam Dong. Hye Seong seemed to give her vote for Jin Guk. She tricked him to kiss his cheek like the last time. Ohoo smart kid ;)

Jason and Pil Sook were so unified in every action then. They’re the ones to submit all the six’s application.

Baek Hee could get over her problem. Life had to go on and she knew it. She got a full support from friends and teachers, too..so, it’s not the end of her dream.

The shooting for the audition began. Everybody had his/her own concept for the video. Jason and Pil Sook went to this particular place which was like a castle slash museum…something like that. Pil Sook was playing guitar and singing Mariah Carey’s song beautifully…

Sam Dong had the smartest idea to tell about himself. He had these human poster of himself…showing his metamorphosis: from the lousy hair country boy who didn’t know his dream, to a Kirin students who’s finding out his dream…and look at him then. He had become a cool artist who’s ready to get his dream.

Jason’s video was quite boring. Practically he just dance…and dance…and dance…

Jin Guk was quite the same. If Jason had a beautiful setting in that museum, Jin Guk danced in their studio…

Hye Mi was showing how she had changed from the plainly emotionless singer to be a full spirit and cheerful Go Hye Mi who’s ready to be the best performer.

Yoon Baek Hee told her sad story and how she tried to be strong. Her dream wasn’t over yet and life had to go on. She would stand up again and wouldn’t stop to reach her dream.

Yang Jin Man came to bring the good news. The kids were accepted in Mr.Ma’s agency! He brought the news to Ms.Shi and they shared the joy. However, the first person popped up in Ms.Shi’s mind was Oh Yeok…so she ran out side, looking for him.

It’s quite overwhelming and touching for Oh Yeok, having this pretty and sexy woman called out his name and then ran to his hand. She hugged him tight… While all the witness-students were cheering, his father who was looking for his office window, freaked out. :D

Poor Yang Jin Man…He knew it’s not his game. That woman was for Kang Oh Yeok.

Meanwhile, at the Kang residence…Hye Seong answered the ringing phone. She was surprise to hear a very familiar voice. “Ohh, Daddy?”

Yang Jin Man continued to deliver the good news to Hye Mi. She was so excited. But unlike Ms.Shi who was so sure about having Kang Oh Yeok as the first person in her mind to share the joy with, Hye Mi was uncertain. She remembered what Pil Sook’s said and turned to be flustered.

She was shock of her own feelings…she wasn’t sure whom she really like: Sam Dong or Jin Guk. Therefore instead of calling out their names when she saw them coming, she hid herself and saw them passing by…

what a lucky girl being hit by two gorgeous boys…

Well, we’re nearly end and the drama was getting more and more interesting. You must have a question about Jason-Pil Sook right? wait till the next episode…I had a screen screaming again. ;) I try to write the summary soon.

Dream High Episode 13 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-13-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-13-summary/#comments Sat, 19 Feb 2011 16:05:02 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6715 I love this episode! People’s relationship were back to positive atmosphere…I call it a “friend call”. Sam Dong, Jason-Pil Sook, Sam Dong-Hye Mi-Jin Guk, Hye Mi-Baek Hee, and even between Jin Guk and his dad…they had pass the stage where someone hate somebody, and now it’s time for them to let their friends give a hand or a shoulder to cry on. Baek Hee was struggling with her terrible mistake, Jin Guk couldn’t avoid fame&scandal, Sam Dong practiced hard to get the right pitch, Hye Mi was breaking her own iceberg,  Jason-Pil Sook were pushed to be honest about their feelings to each other. The last was the most interesting part of this episode ;) Well, let’s start…

Sam Dong sang his song in false note. Everyone started to wishper to each other and Sam Dong realized there’s something wrong, but he couldn’t much because his hearing was impaired. Hye Mi took an action. She went up to the balcony that faced the stage and helped Sam Dong by giving sign in what note he had to sing each line. So thanks to Hye Mi, he was saved.

Kang Oh Yeok and Hye Mi went to the doctor to get a clear explanation about Sam dong’s condition. The boy was suffered for tinnitus…it’s a hearing damaged symptom, and what applied to Sam Dong was a hearing loss.

The showcase resulted Jin Guk as the lucky one who got a solo debut with his self-composed song, “My Valentine”. Among so many garlands presented for him, he found one from Hyeon Moo Jin, his dad.

Hye Mi gave Sam Dong a tuning fork. She said it’d help him getting the right pitch.

Pil Sook was doing excellent in recognizing the key note, pitch, at the music class. Sam Dong looked envy and curious at the same time. That’s why after the class, he asked Pil Sook to meet somewhere to teach him about the pitch. Jason looked curious and displease. He asked Hye Mi what were the two going to do alone? Hye Mi coldly smirked and said, “Ask him yourself.”

During the lunch Yoon Baek Hee found no body wanted to be near her. She’s a public enemy then. They bad mouthed her behind her back. Hye Mi suddenly came as a companion. She did what Jin Guk once did to help her coping up with the situation when everybody hated her: the song-less earphone…I think the best and nice idea someone could do to help another who deserted by others.

Baek Hee couldn’t stop pittying herself. Ms.Shi approached her not to scold her, but to apologize for being such a bad teacher and told her that she would always support her. She said everybody would experience the downs in their lives, but there’s always the way to go up again.

Jason was upset and made other people got the nerves on him. He was curious and upset about Pil Sook being alone with Sam Dong somewhere, but still tried to push it away by listening to music on a public music corner. He took it on and off several times, ignoring a long queue behind him.

Just look at In Seong’s expression.

Jason couldn’t take it anymore, so he went to see what’s really going on at that secluded classroom. However, Hye Mi got him sneaking around and asked, “Why are you here?”

Jason lied, “Oh nothing, I just on my way to the library.”

With a naughty smile Hye Mi enthusiastically said, “Oh really? I wanna go there, too. So, let’s go together!” Then she dragged him along, but he found himself a way out.

Ma Doo Shik he’s interested in promoting Hye Mi and Pil Sook. The school didn’t recommend him those girls. Ms. Maeng said that netizen would starightly attack Pil Sook 80-something-kg history while Hye Mi had a very bad behavior. Only Yang Jin Man who speak out his objection.

So there they were…at KBS Radio superjunior program where LeeTeuk and Eun Hyuk as the DJs. Pil Sook was just so lovely, while Hye Mi still with her apathetic face. Ree Ah called the program pretending to be a loyal fan, but she brought up about Pil Sook over weight condition back then. Hye Mi who recognized that witch’s voice couldn’t hold her nerves…the DJs were panic :D

Ma Doo Shik kind of protested to Oh Yeok for his students’ bad behavior…Kang Oh Yeok innocently just said, “Oh, you knew these kids before, so you should’ve known this kind of thing would happen.”

Kang Oh Yeok suggested Sam Dong to use the tuning fork to remember the tone through the vibration instead of the sound. He just need to remember the basist pitch then the rest would follow, imagine it like a tree branch.

Jin Guk paid a visit to his dad. Hyeon Moo Jin was getting softer. He denied sending the garland, but he did show some care to Jin Guk and also wore the watch he had given him back then.

Jin Guk called Hye Mi out. She congratulated him with her usual plain face as usual and Jin Guk protested that. “You should smile when you congratulate your friend.” Hye Mi said that’s just exactly the way she congratulated friends (without a smile). But when Jin Guk told her that his father congratulated him, Hye Mi did smile.

Jin Guk and Hye Mi were pinching each other’s cheek when Sam Dong passed by on his way back home. He congratulated Jin Guk sincerely. Sam Dong was back to the person we’ve known…he’s no longer the dark Sam Dong.

Not long after Jin Guk left, a breaking news telling that Hyeon Shi Hyeok was behind the bars for hitting his manager, Director Hyoon. Kang Oh Yeok came to pick him up at the police station. He asked him what really made him hit that person. Jin Guk didn’t say anything. Meanwhile, the cctv recording was showed on TV…Jin Guk was really hitting his manager.

Hyeon Moo Jin was concerned. But it’s good that he didn’t believe Jin Guk would do such a thing without any reason.

The public was mean, the netizen had no mercy for Jin Guk. They straightly attacked him anywhere. They even changed the “Baker King Kim Tak Gu” poster into “Violent King Hyeon Shi Hyeok”. Ah Jeong spread the rumor that Baek Hee also got a hit on her eyes on the first showcase where back then she had the star shaped painting around her eyes. In Seong didn’t stay quite listening to those crazy rumours. The Group K members were also mean to Jin guk by saying bad things about him that it bugged Jason and made him shouted, “That’s enough, stop it!” (in English).

Hyeon Moo Jin visited Jin Guk at Kang residence. He tried to make Jin Guk confessed of what actually happened. However, Jin Guk refused to tell him anything.

Sam Dong tried to support Jin Guk in his own way. He told Jin Guk to stop acting that he’s the unluckiest person on earth. He told him to get out of his self-pitty pretty soon and started all over again because he didn’t want to compete with a weak competition. Sam Dong was talking about winning Hye Mi’s heart. He told Jin Guk about his hearing damage which made their condition equal so Jin Guk wouldn’t have any more excuse to stay in despair.

Aha, this is my most favourite part! It was at lunch time at school when Pil Sook just stepped on the canteen hall when she overheard Jason saying “Miss you, love you” with another woman…someone named Julia if I wasn’t mistaken.

Pil Sook was upset, but didn’t say anything. She sat at a distance from Jason. However, this guy saw her and then approached her. With an excuse as a responsible senior to junior, he advised her not to be alone with any man in an enclosed classroom never again because it’d trigger a bad rumour. Pil Sook attacked him back by telling that saying “miss you, love you” to a certain girl on the phone on public could also trigger a rumour. Jason asked was that an advice or a jealosy expression. Pil Sook asked him back the same question.

Jason suggested them to tell the real thing at the same time after the count to three. but when he hit the three, no one said anything. The upset Jason left the table, leaving the upset Pil Sook.

However, it was within seconds Jason was back. He sat next to Pil Sook and said, “Okay. Yes, I was jealous. So what about you?” I couldn’t hold my scream when Pil Sook innocently said, “I was jealous, too.” Oooohhh, they reminded me of how sweet a high school romance could be… B)

The music class hold a pitch test. Everyone random picked a lyric they had to sing duet. Jason was disappointed finding out he had to sing with Hye Mi instead of Pil Sook. They sang alright, but the result wasn’t perfect. Ms. Shi told them they still made some mistakes.

Pil Sook got a chance to sing together with Sam Dong. Jin Man and Oh Yeok were very nervous watching from outside the classroom. However, surprisingly, they both made a perfect score! No false pitch at all! Just look at how Yang Jin Man dropped his jaw.

Jin Guk was about to leave after Sam Dong finished singing, but Sam Dong caught him up. He told Jin Guk to get back to his best performance soon because he wouldn’t be waiting long (to win Hye Mi’s heart). Then he handed over the lucky pendant to Jin Guk. He said it had worked for him so it Jin Guk’s turn to have it.

Hye Mi spotted Baek Hee acting weird. She seemed to lose herself. She’s in a great despair. She was depress. Baek Hee went upstair and -I think- attempted suicide. Hye Mi came in the right time. She asked Baek Hee what made her in great despair. Baek Hee then said that Jin Guk hit Director Hyoon to protect her. She felt terribly guilty.

I’m getting like this drama very much. It offered me quite many new things and idea, and a great curiousity for Jason and Pil Sook relationship. :D

And please don’t turn off your TV till the very end. You’ll see Taecyeon, as Hyeon Shi Hyeok, sing at the Music Bank “his debut” song “My Valentine”. Okay, I have to admit that I was wrong doubting Taecyeon singing ability. He really can sing. But don’t expect it to be a great vocal like 2Am Chang Min or his 2PM mate WooYeong or Kim Soo Hyun. It’s a nice song, though, with a so-so-but-nice original vocal of Taecyeon. ;)

Dream High Episode 12 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-12-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-12-summary/#comments Fri, 18 Feb 2011 07:22:32 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6664 I like how this drama, this episode in particular, balance Sam Dong’s gloomy situation with some hilarious scenes on another area. We’ll be curious when Jason-Pil Sook’s relationship will step into another level, but another relationship is also developing and you’re gonna find out who I’m talking about are pretty soon ;) .

Hye Mi decided to refuse the offerings. She didn’t sign the contract and told Baek Hee not to worry she’s taking her spot. Jin Guk was the most disappointed one by Hye Mi’s decision. They’re so close to their dream of being on stage together to hand in hand reaching their dreams. I think it’s not that Hye Mi didn’t want it, but she valued her friendship with Baek Hee more.

Kang Oh Yeok was facing the teacher recruitment test. All the three nominees had to present the best teaching in front of a class of students and some judges. However, when it came to Oh Yeok’s turn, Principal Shi came with all the school boards and dismissed the students. He thought Oh Yeok would drop, but he was wrong. He was officially re-recruited as Kirin’s teacher. Jin Guk and Hye Mi welcomed him back cheerfully.

Ms. Shi was drunk, pittying herself for being such a terrible teacher that had led her student (Baek Hee) went too far breaking the rule. When she confronted Baek Hee about the “unoriginal” song composition issue, Baek Hee attacked her back that Ms. Shi was actually her inspiration. I don’t know why she asked Kang Oh Yeok to come along.

And here’s what I was talking about. Kang Oh Seon’s love life. She was actually drinking at the same bar with Ms. Shi, and when she was going back home, she’s definitely drunk. She met this one fine man out side the station. He’s young and good looking and he’s very nice that he even offered to walk her home. He gave Oh Seon his wool shawl when she complained about being cold and snowy. For you to know, the music scoring was taken from Winter Sonata…I think it was “From the Beginning until now”?

The man walked her back home. Oh Seon was losing herself that she went to kiss him passionately. However, when the truth was revealed for the audience………the fine young man turned out to be Ma Doo Shik all that time! :D The PD succeeded to fool us all.

Ma Doo Shik was surprised finding out that Kang Oh Seon was actually Kang Oh Yeok’s sister.

The shocking experience was very emotional for Ma Doo Shik. I think it’s called “Love Attack” :D . He thought it had to be a destiny, everything that happened to him started from Hye Mi’s father matter until the fake showcase. Everything was connected…and it led him to Kang Oh Seon.

Therefor, he instantly, at that very moment, decided to close down his night club and stop being “the mob”. He’s starting a new and legal business…

Pil Sook asked In Seong to take a picture of her for showcase profile. Jason came and annoyed them. He started to dislike seeing any other boys around Pil Sook. With an excuse that cellphone camera wouldn’t give her the best result, he took Pil Sook’s hand and took her to a professional photographer.

This couple is just so cute. Pil Sook was a little shy to come out wearing a costume. Jason said, “Why? It’s just me.” And when Pil Sook went out with her angel outfit…I could see there’s a change in Jason’s expression. His face kind of telling us that inside his head he said, “Oh..you’re so damn cute Pil Sook” :D

The photographer came and said, “You bring a pretty girl here…so who’s the girl in your phone wallpaper?” Jason didn’t say anything about it, but Pil Sook seemed to be curious.

Look at Jason’s expression watching her making pose.

Kirin School was having another showcase at the end of holiday class term. Each student will go solo. The K group member can choose which class they wanted to join (Ms. Shi or Oh Yeok). Jin Guk and Jason definitely chosed Mr. Kang’s class and surprisingly, Baek Hee chose his class too.

Kang Oh Yeok was more than pleased to see there’re three more students in his class and they got a real class! Well, Sam Dong wasn’t around yet, but he must be in this class too. Yang Jin Man was still neglected to publicly help Oh Yeok, so he gave instruction through phone call (to Oh Yeok’s phone) while he sat right out side the class.  He told the kids to play “Why you come to our home” game. [I don’t know if you know this game or not, but I used to play this kind of game when I was in elementary school].

Meanwhile, Sam Dong was getting dark. He’s about turning to be Dart Vader. Oooh, i hate seeing him with that sharp look. He’s pushing himself away from his friends, while his heart screamed for the other way.

Hye Mi was cleaning the floor at Kang’s residence when she found Sam Dong’s medical report. She found out Sam Dong’s hearing damage and felt terribly guilty. She asked Sam Dong for forgiveness because what happened to Sam Dong was the result of the hit on his head when he protected Hye Mi long ago. Hye Mi asked if it could be fixed, Sam Dong told her it couldn’t. She broke down and cried. Oh Yeok came and saw the scene. Hye Mi desperately said, “Teacher, please help us.” Suzy’s acting was getting better. She touched my heart with that plead.

Pil Sook found a cellphone on a table at the canteen. The other girls said it was Jason, he must have forgotten it. Pil Sook kept it safe and then recalled what the photographer said at the other day. Jason had a picture of a girl as his home screen picture. She’s so curious to see who that girl was.

She tried to push that naughty thought away and kept eating, but the temptation was too great to resist…

And when Pil Sook just about to unlock the phone…Jason came and grabbed it. “Did you or did you not see the home screen picture??” demanded Jason. Pil Sook said no, Jason looked relieved and left.

Actually I always wonder about whether or not Taecyeon can really sing like other 2PM vocalist. Well, he became the rapper not with no reason right? He did sing here, in this particular scene…but still, I was disappointed. While Wooyeong or Soo Hyun always sing live with piano…Taecyeon didn’t. :(

Sam Dong relived the moment when he first step his feet into Kirin and compare it with his present condition. That time he was a country boy with messy hair who came to Kirin because Hye Mi had seduced him and then he found his dream. Meanwhile at the present, he had become a cool boy with a great talent as a musician..but all his dream was about to fall apart.

And then he saw his friends. They’re still in full spirit and shining. He then decided to come to the class. Yang Jin Man was acting strange. He still didn’t want the public know he’s helping Oh Yeok’s class…well, yeah, organizationally he’s just an English teacher, not a dance/music teacher.

Yang Jin Man helped the students in choreography and helped Sam Dong in singing.

The day of the showcase had came. Ma Doo Shik came to Kirin School as an entertainment agent. He even showed Principal Shi his company certificate.

Ma Doo Shik coming to the showcase was an unfortunate event for Kang Oh Seon. She was covering the news, Kirin’s showcase, when she met Mr. Ma. Ma Doo Shik was more than happy to tell her about what happened between them in that snowy night. Kang Oh Seon was in a full shock.

Ms. Shi talked to Baek Hee at the backstage. She told her that what she did was wrong and she couldn’t cheat the audience. And a disaster happened when Baek Hee was performing backstage. She made the mistake and she had to pay it through a very hard way.

Sam Dong’s turn to go on the stage was next. Hye Mi had told him not to push himself too much if it’s just gonna hurt him more. Sam Dong still insisted to go. And when he’s on the stage…everything sounded so far away…

I really can’t wait to write the summary/recap for episode 13. Jason and Pil Sook, aaaahhh…

Dream High Episode 11 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-11-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-11-summary/#comments Sun, 13 Feb 2011 02:21:43 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6515 Episode 11 began with Sam Dong’s heartbreaking prologue. It revealed his broken hearted. He’s bearing a hardship that beyond his power.

It’s a gloomy world for Song Sam Dong. His character kept developing. He used to be an innocent talented kid, then he became a genius Kirin student who had a lot of dreams…and here, in this episode, he turned to be someone else. His world was falling apart. He lost Hye Mi, soon would lose his hearing, and the worst of all, he’s losing his dream.

Sam Dong went to the doctor to check on his troubled hearing. The doc said he’d gradually lose his hearing. I think it was the side effect from the injury he had when protecting Hye Mi.

This nice guy turned into the “Black” Sam Dong instantly. He’s broken hearted, losing hope, lonely and so much in pain. He was even crying in the middle of the crowd.

Kang Oh Yeok submitted his resignation, but he asked Principal Shi to keep his promise to make the three Half-Admission students became regular students. For Mr. Shi, he’d much prefer seeing no more Oh Yeok at school than having the three talented kids in the regular class.

Hye Mi was invited to come to Group K management. She was offered a beneficial contract where she’d become one of the group K members. The cool Hye Mi had to bumped herself to the wall to assure her that she’s not dreaming. And when she asked for Oh Yeok’s opinion, the teacher supported whatever best for her, but he told her to think about it carefully before signing the contract.

Meanwhile, Sam Dong still struggling with his turning-up-side-down life. A loud music from an underground club attracted him. So there he was, trying to absorb as much sound as he could. Even in that very noisy place, he heard only a small volume of sound. His hearing was definitely degrading.

He stayed in the club after the performance. Apparently In Seong had a part time job there and tried to talk to Sam Dong what happened to him and why he’s not going home. Sam Dong heartbreakingly said, “I have no home. There’s no sound in there. I want to stay here where there’s so much sound that stayed.”

At the group K meeting, Baek Hee looked worry. She had a feeling that the manager was interested in recruiting Hye Mi and she might be kicked out, replaced by Hye Mi. But it’s very obvious that Baek Hee was the least popular among the other members. While Mr. Manager announcing schedules of Jason, Ree Ah, Jin guk and others, he had no schedule for Baek Hee. Thankfully Jason said he didn’t to spend his winter holiday working. He said he’s taking the song composition class to improve his musical quality. Baek Hee immidiately said she’d like to join the class too, with the same reason.

All the ex-half-admission class needed to take the song composition class. They still didn’t know that Oh Yeok was resigning. And Sam Dong wasn’t anywhere around.

Pil Sook found an A+ result sticked on her locker. It was Jason’s. Pil Sook recalled the moment when she told him harshly about he’s being ignorance of his own dream…could it be Jason’s way to prove her wrong? Jason intentionally passed by Pil Sook with a cool-smug face. Pil Sook congratulated him enthusiastically that she didn’t see the column. She bumped to it and fell. This scene was hilariously cute.

Yang Jin Man was shock hearing from Ms. Shi that Oh Yeok was resigning. She told him about the fake-showcase and night club incident that made Oh Yeok went out from school to let his students stayed. And what they didn’t expect was, Hye Mi was listening to their conversation too.

The arrogant and brave Hye Mi bursted in to the teacher’s room. She challenged Principal Shi what should the three students do to make Oh Yeok back. If it required them to get all A mark in the song composition class, Hye Mi dared to take the challenge.

Hye Mi thought Sam Dong might be at his hometown, but when she called his mother, she found out that Sam Dong wasn’t there. So it left her and Pil Sook worry both about getting A in song composition class in order to bring Oh Yeok back and about Sam Dong’s whereabout because among the two girls, he’s the genius in composing music.

Hye Mi asked Pil Sook to imitate Sam Dong’s voice when his name mentioned in the class. Pil Sook was desparate because she couldn’t speak in satturi (the dialect). Jason who was sitting on the next bench heard about it.

The class started, Pil Sook gladly found Jason was sitting next to her. The teacher was a funny man, but a strict teacher. He’s a well known music composer. When it’s time for him to check students’ presence, Jason took over Sam Dong’s voice-imitation that it pleased Pil Sook. Ohh couldn’t this couple be cuter? i’m looking forward to their relationship progress.

Meanwhile Kang Oh Yeok’s life moving on. He taught music for housewifes. Jin Guk came by to talk to him. He asked why Oh Yeok could have a heart to leave them alone at school and ran this kind of life instead. Oh Yeok said he’s not leaving them at all and what he’s doing then was something that could actually bring him back to Kirin. He’s actually a smart person :)

Ms. Maeng and Mr. Gong were appointed by Principal Shi to select some “highly-qualified-teacher” nominees to replace Kang Oh Yeok. Principal Shi was surprised when he found Kang Oh Yeok’s application as the highly recommended one.

Oh Yeok came to Kirin school with a new spirit and new hairstyle  He came for the interview. He tried to prove to everyone at that school that the new Kang Oh Yeok was really qualified for being a teacher there.

Baek Hee got an A in song composition class. It was only Ms. Shi who got suspicious about it, so she confronted Baek Hee to make her admitted it. Baek Hee did admit, but she reminded her teacher that it was Ms. Shi herself who taught her about the importance of getting rid of rivals in order to survive this industry. Ms. Shi didn’t think Baek Hee would go this far. Baek Hee said she needed the mark to make her stay in K group. She didn’t want her place to be taken by Hye Mi. And as you might have thought, Hye Mi accidently overheard this conversation.

I started to have an optimism that Baek Hee and Hye Mi would officially make up their friendship very soon. It must be really hard to call someone your “ex-best friend” and played a dirty game to compete with her. And it didn’t make Baek Hee happy anyway, so in order to not makinfgher as the victim of her own evilness, i’d prefer her making up the friendship with Hye Mi again. But apparently the drama goes this way…so let’s see what comes next. ;)

Dream High Episode 8 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-8-summary-2/ https://kdramachoa.com/dream-high-episode-8-summary-2/#respond Sat, 12 Feb 2011 11:07:11 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=6457 With the kissing scene spoiler,i can’t wait to watch and make summary/recap of this drama. I’m not really taking side for either Jin Guk or Sam Dong, as long as they compete fairly.

Pil Sook couldn’t go to Japan because she wasn’t in a good condition and had to stay in the hospital. So it was only Kang Oh Yeok,Hye Mi and Sam Dong who mere going. The wedding, as you might have guessed, was a yakuza party. Many scary men in black and a high level security. It’s funny to see these three people among the yakuza.

The three succeeded to flee, but Sam Dong and Hye Mi went separated with Kang Oh Yeok. Hye Mi and Sam Dong looked for the hotel Kirin students stayed in Nagoya, but they lost their way and had no money while their system couldn’t tolerate the lack of supply demand. They saw a group of young kids were making a street performance, so they made theirs.

Oh Yeok arrived at the hotel, but finding no Hye Mi nor Sam Dong. Hearing the news, Jason and Jin Guk instantly took off. The rest went after them. The street performance went well, but the Japanese group didn’t like it so they challenge a dance battle. Jin Guk, Jason and the rest came in the right moment. The battle was quite interesting (Taecyeon and Wooyeong’s dance skill were great) and won by the Kirins. It’s the first time Hye Mi and Baek Hee smiled to each other again since they’re in Kirin. That’s a good sign.

Hye Mi couldn’t sleep because she was starving. Baek Hee knew that, so she secretly drop a bread to Hye Mi who slept on the floor. Hye Mi ate outside and Jin Guk saw it. He asked her to talk, but Hye Mi refused.

Jason, who had been very curious since Hye Mi told him Pil Sook was hospitalized because of hepatitis (she gave him an unclear info), searched on the internet (in the mid of night) about the illness, but nothing was sure. He then asked Sam Dong what actually happened to Pil Sook, but the sleepy Sam Dong was no help at all.

The next day everyone went to watch the filming of a video for the K group. It was actually a ridiculous story that even made Oh Yeok laughed it. It’s about a girlfriend died but back to life because of her boyfriend’s tears dropped on her face.

Jason tried to contact Pil Sook, but always failed. So as soon as the filming finished he flew straight back to Seoul. Meanwhile, Sam Dong spotted a familiar face of a boy from a Japanese group they got quarrel the other day.

He decided to tailed him and found out this kid and his group was going to hold a mini concert. something like an unofficial debut for them. Many people just ignore their announcement, but Sam Dong and Kang Oh Yeok thought different way.

Kang Oh Yeok invited Ms. Shi to the concert later that night. It’s quite funny to see the cool Ms. Shi blushed and mistook it as a date proposal.

Sam Dong, Hye Mi, Oh Yeok and other Kirin students came to the concert and saw how much those Japanese kids potrayed them. Not many people came down there, so the Japanese kids appreciated the presence of Sam Dong and other Kirins. They let the Korean Kirin to perform on their stage. Sam Dong took Hye Mi to sing the ‘Dream High’ song. The manager of Kirin spotted Hye Mi here. He thought of recruiting Hye Mi to replace Baek Hee whom he thought the least productive among other K members.

Jason came in a rush to the hospital. He thought he would find Pil Sook lying weak on the bed, but he was wrong. He found Pil Sook doing the rope jumping. Apparently Hye Mi had misinformed him that Pil Sook caught a hepatitis B, while in fact it was hepatitis A. So when he found out, he excused himself in a hurry. But Jason was about turning his body to leave, Pil Sook collapsed. He rushed her back inside.

The Japanese boy then called Sam Dong as “friend”. They appreciated each other’s music and found similarities in both regardless their language barrier. The Japanese boy gave Sam Dong two tickets of the ferries wheel and he invited him to stop by a restaurant where he worked. Sam Dong asked Hye Mi out and told her to wait for him outside. But unfortunately, Jin Guk was way faster than him

Hye Mi refused to talk to Jin Guk at first. Jin Guk was a liar and a traitor for her. There were two Korean girls spotted them and recognized Jin Guk as the K group, so they started to act like a paparazzi. This drama always teach its audience to stay positive and show the good manner, and it potrayed by Jin Guk. Instead of yelling at them to stop bugging them, he asked the girls nicely –almost desperately in fact, to stop taking pictures and gave them a space because he needed to talk something important to Hye Mi.

After the disturbance gone, Jin Guk explained to her what really happened. He said he wanted the spotlight to let him stay. If he hadn’t been famous, his father would’ve sent him abroad. Another reason was to let the world know that he was his father’s son. It’s like saying to Hye Mi that he wasn’t lying about wanting to be on the same stage with her reaching out their dreams together. He still wanted it and always did, but firstly he needed to stay in Korea in order to make it happen. Well that’s a good idea actually. So of course, Hye Mi fell for it.

Sam Dong lost Hye Mi. He found out that Jin Guk had grabbed her out from Ah Jeong and In Seong. He was upset and decided to pay a visit to that nice Japanese boy.

Pil Sook gained consciousness and found Jason by her side. She asked how he got there. Jason was pretending to be ignorant. Pil Sook asked was it just his good manner that brought him all the way down there. You know to pay a visit to a sick friend. Jason said no, he came to hear her sing and he just had nothing else to do after all his schedule wrapped up. Jason walked outside and hesitated on the corridor when Pil Sook played his guitar and sang ‘Waiting’. It’s a beautiful song and quite potraying Jason-Pil Sook’s relationship.

Jin Guk took Hye Mi on the ferries wheel. He shared her his bitter old story with dad. He said once in the good old day his father took him and his mother to the theme park and got on the wheel. It’s the most beautiful memory he had with his dad and it’s the only thing that avoid him from hating his father.

Hye Mi cried wathing and listening to the teary Jin Guk. He was touched. So then he bent on his knee to wipe Hye Mi’s tears…and the initiative knocked his mind. He bent for a kiss…and they kissed!

And look who’s watching from the restaurant (with a direct view to the wheel)? Yes, it’s Sam Dong. Well, it must have been hurt like hell for him. His world was falling apart…he lost the game. Hye Mi was taken by Jin Guk.

Hye Mi and Sam Dong had been practicing very hard for the last 200 days. Their dance were improved and impressive. But when Kang Oh Yeok announced their grades, the results weren’t good for the three members of Half-Admission class. They could fail entering the prep-school (preparation before university). However, Kang Oh Yeok had another alternative. They could enter the prep-school if they could win the Dance of the Year Competition.

But who’s gonna help them in choreography? Oh that’s nothing to worry about. They got the King of Dance: Yang Jin Man.

After losing from the game scissor-rock-paper from Pil Sook and Sam Dong, Hye Mi went for registration. She met Baek Hee there. Baek Hee said the pendant seemed to really did bring luck to Hye Mi, but in this competition she woudn’t let Hye Mi be on her way.

Pil Sook was watching the dance class from outside the room when Jason came behind her and mirroring her move. When Pil Sook noticed Jason was behind her, she almost fell on her back, but Jason caught her. They’re still awkward to one another. Pil Sook asked what he was doing there and whether he had anything to ask her about. Jason said no, and asked back, “Do you have something to ask me?” Oh, come on Jason…do you really expect her to re-ask you again about the big question 200 days before??

Jin Guk had presents for everyone. Oh Seon was hysterical finding a branded bag as her present and Hye Seong tricked Jin Guk to kiss his cheek. Meanwhile outside the house, Hye Mi was trapped among Jin Guk’s fans. They avoided her to come to house, accusing her of just another fan. Hye Mi told them she lived there, but none of them believed her. They attacked herlike crazy, and thankfully Sam Dong came as a rescue. Getting inside, Jin Guk asked if Hye Mi was okay (of course she’s not!), but Sam Dong blocked him and just brought Hye Mi into the house.

Jin Guk came to the underground place where Sam Dong was practicing. He thanked Sam Dong for taking care of Hye Mi when he was away. Sam Dong said he had nothing to thank about. He didn’t take care of Hye Mi under his place (yeah, Sam Dong, you’re right).

It was the day for appointing group in the Dance of the Year competition.Hye Mi’s group was number 12, bird group. Baek Hee’s was number 7, snake group.  Hye Mi picked up Jason in addition of the Half-Admission class. Sam Dong welcomed Jason very friendly…and Jin Guk could only watch them from a distance.

Hye Mi, Sam Dong, Pil Sook and Jason was off to their underground place when they found out they’re kicked out.
Someone had cleared out their stuffs outside. Meanwhile at school, Oh Yeok was paying his debt to Ma Doo Shik. When the kids phoned him about “having no place to practice”, Mr. Ma offered them his night club stage for free. He started to sincerely like these kids…and Oh Yeok :D

While the K group had Ms. Shi as their choreographer and a proper class to practice at, Oh Yeok’s group had the small changing-room for briefing and Yang Jin Man as the instructor…and of course, the night club stage. However, despite their difficulties each member of the group was very determine in practicing. Sam Dong practiced hard, even though the solo dance was gonna be for Jason. He just basically wanted to do his best for the competition.

BUT…like I’ve always said, trouble is a real friend for these kids. A police came to Ma Doo Shik’s night club and asked about the kids’ activity there. And for the worse, they had Principal Shi came to picked them up.

The result was quite ugly. Principal Shi summoned Kang Oh Yeok to ask about the matter and also his curousity on Ma Doo Shik about the school rent on the day of the schowcase. Hye Mi and Sam Dong tried to eavesdrop out side the room, but they got nothing and Oh Yeok caught them. The problem with Principal Shi seemed to be case-closed peacefully (but i don’t think so), but next thing was they had to find another place to practice.

And there they were at the sauna. Well, that’s not a bad idea. They got the place, the audience, and the warmth.

The competition day had come. The K group performed first. They’re good, but Hye Mi’s group was quite confidence…until in the backstage, Oh Yeok made a sudden change. He appointed Sam Don for the solo dance instead of Jason as planned. Everyone voted and agreed Sam Dong should do it…surprisingly, even Pil Sook voted for Sam Dong.

The dance went well. Backstage after the show, Jason said to Pil Sook that if he had been the one did the solo dance, they would’ve got the first prize. But he just didn’t really care and it upset Pil Sook. She was disappointed finding out Jason as a person with no strong passion. She said she had a hard time for losing her weight and thinking she did it only for him, someone with such ignorance, then made her regret it.

Baek Hee came to Hye Mi smugly speaking about her being the first winner.  Instead of being irritated as Baek Hee was expecting, Hye Mi gave her a sincere congrats. She said the reason she and her friends signed up for this competition was to be able to get into the prep-school, and then they finally made it. That’s what really matter for them. So it wasn’t about competing Baek Hee or whatsoever.

Outside the changing room, Sam Dong couldn’t hold his cheers to Hye Mi.  He even got to kiss her on the cheek! And look who could only stare from a distance: Jin Guk.

Jin Guk was having the lonely-celeb-syndrom. Yeah that’s what I call it. You know, when a celebrity seemed to always have people around him celebrating things, swarmed fans everywhere he move…but inside he felt empty and lonely. That’s the kind of feeling that Jin Guk was having. The spot light and the fame didn’t bring happiness without his love ones…
And Baek Hee, I think somehow she felt the same. She knew she’s alone in love, so all she could do was to be there for Jin Guk in silence.

Someone finally spread the news in the internet. So then whole Korea knew that the K Group Hyeon Shi Hyeok was the son of the politician Hyeon Moo Jin. The news made a buzz at the Kang residence. Only Oh Yeok who wasn’t surprised from it.

The Hyeon father and son went for a TV talk show interview. Hyeon Moo Jin was such a great actor.
He acted like he’d been a warm father for Jin Guk. Well, that’s a pretty touching moment and Jin Guk seemed to valued the moment much more than just a TV show. He’s enjoying being the “proud son” for his father. The audiences were touched, even in the Kang residence. Oh Seon was streaming tears…while Hye Mi and Oh Yeok kind of knew what really had happened all these times. Outside the show, the father and son was back to their cold relationship. But Jin Guk still excused himself in a very polite way as usual. And Mr. Hyeon found a present from his son in his car: an elegant watch.

Jin Guk caught Hye Mi on the way back home. He said he had something to say and asked her to go somewhere else, but Hye Mi refused. Hye Mi was about to leave when Jin Guk suddenly back hugged her. And they stayed like that for some moment. But Jin Guk had to go, and they didn’t have a chance to talk.

There’s a kind of study tour or something to Japan. But the Half-Admission class couldn’t afford it. Ma Doo Shik heard about it and offered them a good chance. They could go to Japan to sing at his cousin’s wedding. All the expenses were his.

Pil Sook still avoided Jason, but still sticked the lollipop on his locker.
Jason a little hesitated, but he still took the candy.

The day of flying to Japan had come. The kids were excited. Kang Oh Yeok put a very big smile on his face. But then he flash back to the time where he had the conversation with Pincipal Shi (when he’s summoned because of the Ma Doo shik issue). It turned out that Principal Shi threatened to expel the children, but Oh Yeok put his carreer as the warrant instead. He promised to submit a resignation letter if the Principal Shi let the kids stay at school.

Oooohhh it’s not good! Can’t wait to watch the next episode.
