Joon met Ha Na in their appointment place. Joon asked Ha Na what she wanted to do for today. Ha Na said she just wanted to go home and spent with her mother. Joon noticed a little change in Ha Na’s expression, so he asked if anything happened today, Ha Na didn’t say anything about her encounter with his mother. Ha Na said she just wanted to go home alone and him as well had to go home.

Joon got home and his mother started to talk strange about matching him and Mi Ho. “I really like Mi Ho and you’ve known each other since you’re young,” persuaded Hye Jeong. Joon just reponded to his mother coldly.

After spending time with her mother, Ha Na talked on the phone because Joon called her. Ha Na asked what kind of person Joon mother was. and Joon also asked the same question. And just like Joon said his mother was a broken hearted person, Ha Na also said the same thing.

Seon Ho changed his hairstyle a bit, but everyone noticed it and asked him what made him did it. Seon Ho said nothing in special. Then Joon came and asked Seon Ho if he had told his father about Joon’s request. Joon told Seon Ho about Yoon Hee’s condition and Seon Ho was asked to tell his father and had him check on Yoon Hee himself. They decided to keep it a secret from Joon’s father.

Yoon Hee’s problem with eyesight got worsen.Lee Dong Wook came down to see her and told her if she’s ill she could tell him. Yoon Hee knew Dong Wook’s sudden visit was because of Joon’s information. Dong Wook need a good effort to make Yoon Hee go to the hospital with him. Yoon Hee finally got examined and the result was not good. Joon who was waiting for Yoon Hee at the hospital got the bad news from Seon Ho instantly. Joon talked to Yoon Hee in the hospital how and when she’s gonna tell Ha Na. He said he didn’t want to lie to Ha Na about anything. Yoon Hee decided not to tell her daughter.

Ha Na suddenly got a call from Hye Jeong. She summoned Ha Na for a meeting. Mi Ho was there too. Joon called her without knowing that she’s in his mother’s house and Ha Na of course didn’t tell him. Hye Jeong told her to break up with Joon, but Ha Na said she couldn’t. “I have promised Joon since we started again our relationship that I have to think about Joon’s feeling.” Hye Jeong got very upset hearing Ha Na’s answer. Suddenly Joon came in and found Ha Na was yelled by his mother.

He hurriedly drove her away from his mother’s house. Feeling very upset, Joon stopped his car and let out his anxiety. “Are you stupid or what? Don’t you know my mother? Why did you come when my mother called you?” Joon was upset and worried in the same time, knowing his mother’s character. Ha Na said she wanted to defend their relationship and then left Joon.

Mi Ho came to see his brother and told him what happened with Ha Na. She said she didn’t know when Hye Jeong summoned her and she actually disagreed with what Hye Jeong did. “Said sorry to Ha Na,” said Seon Ho. Of course Mi Ho refused to do it. Seon Ho video called Ha Na just to make sure Ha Na was okay.

Tae Seong’s mother came down to the resort and Tae Seong introduced her to Ha Na. But Tae Seong didn’t told Ha Na in advance that the Chairlady was his mother.”Why your mother wanted to see me?”asked Ha Na. “Because you’re the girl her son liked,” said Tae Seong. Ha Na once again had to beat Tae Seong’s optimism by telling him that her heart just belonged to Joon. “I’m sorry,” she had to say those words again to the poor Tae Seong. Joon actually saw it when Ha Na was walking with Tae Seong and his mother. Later that night, Joon came down Ha Na’s house to apologize.

In Ha, Dong Wook and Chang Mo got together for the “boys’ night out(in)” in one of the men’s house. Dong wook almost told In Ha about Yoon Hee, but he couldn’t.

Ha Na spent the evening sitting on the bench around her house with Joon. She brought up the topic of Mi Ho with him. She told him that his mother seemed to like Mi Ho very much. Joon said he and Mi Ho had nothing in common while he and Ha Na had. One of them was they both were easy to get jealous. “If you’re tired and what ever happened to you, just don’t runaway,” said Joon.

At home, Joon tried to talk to his mother, but Hye Jeong’s mind was firm. She couldn’t give them her blessing, no matter what.

The next day, she met Ha Na again.She asked if it’s impossible for Ha Na to break up with Joon. Ha Na just said sorry. “Then don’t you know that your mother is sick? She had a problem with her eyesight and soon to lose it, don’t you know it?” Hye Jeong got this information from her men, of course. The point of Hye Jeong’s speech was she’s supporting Yoon Hee, in her poor condition, to be with In Ha because she understood she must need In Ha very much. The parents should be together, thus the kids wouldn’t have any future together. After listening to what Hye Jeong said, Ha Na wasn’t focus to Joon’s topic anymore. She just left for her mother.

Hye Jeong confronted In Ha about him stepping forward in his love for Yoon Hee to let Joon be together with Ha Na. “Why don’t you just do it (marrying Yoon Hee). Just you who should do it. It can’t be for Joon. I would never let him,” said Hye Jeong.

In Ha visited Joon and told him about his mother knowing his relationship with Ha Na. “I’m fine,” said Joon coldly. “It’s good you’re fine. Whenever you need me, just call me whenever you want.” Feeling sorry to both Yoon Hee and his father, Joon decided to tell his father about Yoon Hee’s condition.

Ha Na came to the resort and asked her mother’s co-worker about her mother whereabout. Ha Na got the information that her mother went to the hospital. In the hospital, Yoon Hee who was left alone by the nurse at the corridor thought In Ha was Joon when he took her hand and led her walk. Until In Ha said something and Yoon Hee realized he was actually In Ha. Ha Na came and just hugged her mother and cried. Joon watched the scene and it somehow put him in a very great dilemma.

In the hotel, Ha Na changed her clothes into Seo Joon’s shirt. She’s standing awkwardly making a distance with Seo Joon just sat on the couch and pretended to be indifferent. Ha Na asked him, “Mmm what was it back then (he’s about to do in the hot spring)?” Seo Joon pretended not getting it asking in a very high tone, “What what??” Then Ha Na complained about her broken phone. She’s waiting a very important phone call. Seo Joon asked what’s so important about the call. Ha Na said she wanted to see her mother’s first love who was holding an exhibition in Japan.

Seo Joon said what’s the good of meeting her mother’s first love. “What do you want to say to this person? Meet my mom for a while, please?” Whatever he said, Ha Na really wanted to meet this guy. They ended up arguing, but then the laundry came.

While Ha Na was changing, Seo Joon was recalling the way she counted in the hot spring and still got the thrill from that moment. I think he was confused and surprised in the same by having a crush to a girl that he never had before. When Ha Na was saying good bye, Seo Joon decided to go with her to the phone service. Meanwhile Ha Na’s senior was looking for her in the hotel.

The phone needed some time to get checked. Seo Joon insisted on waiting with her and made Ha Na had lunch with him in a restaurant. The waiter came bringing two kares and talked something about “rurururu”. Then Seo Joon made a question mark on the misty glass. “What’s your name?” he asked Ha Na, but Ha Na refused to tell him. Seo Joon then added an exclamation mark after the question mark. Since she refused to tell her name, Seo Joon decided to just call her “Rurururu.”

After lunch Ha Na said she could go back to the service center by herself and Seo Joo could go back to his place. Seo Joon seemed to be unwilling, finally they walked towards each opposite direction. However, when Ha Na was just turning the corner, she realized that her under coat was still with Seo Joon. And Seo Joon who was buying a coat in a nearby store realized that he’s still wearing the pink undercoat. He asked the sales person to just throw it away. Just right in time, Ha Na was on the way back to block and saw her pink undercoat was about to be thrown to the trash bin. She picked it and confronted Seo Joon right away by throwing it to Seo Joon’s head.

Seo Joon said, “I can’t wear that again and I thought we’d never meet again. So was it so wrong that I decided to throw it away?” Whatever his excuse, Ha Na was sad and she said she hoped not to see someone like him again.

Ha Na left, crying. Seo Joon was trying to catch her when her senior finally caught her. Each of the boy asking “Who are you?” Ha Na told his senior that the person was nothing, no one. Ha Na just left for the service center with her senior.

Ha Na’s broken mobile couldn’t be fixed. Her senior asked whose phone call she’s waiting for. Ha Na told him about her plan meeting her mom’s first love. Then the senior asked if Ha Na had her first love yet? Who? Would it be the person she’s watching the diamond snow together with? Ha Na spontaneously said, “Noooo! It wouldn’t happen.” Then her senior asked her to go have something to eat in the restaurant Ha Na hadd always wanted to go to. Apparently, it was the same restaurant she just had lunch with Seo Joon and she’s actually full.  But she had no choice. They even sat in the same seat she sat with Seo joon earlier. The marks were still on the window.

Meanwhile, back to the hotel, Seo Joon had a bad mood that he even reschedule the photo shooting to the next day. He seemed to be strangely anxious recalling Ha Na, the way she mad and even the curiosity for her senior, that he couldn’t stay calm.

Because Ha Na’s phone cannot be reached, Seo in Ha’s assistant couldn’t contact her. Ha Na lost her chance to meet Seo In Ha.

After going to the greenhouse to plant something as the memorial for their good memories in Japan and arrived back in the accommodation, Seo Joon was already there waiting for Ha Na. “If you want to apologize…” “I’m not here to apologize,” the arrogant Seo Joon didn’t even let Ha Na finish her sentence. She was about to leave when Seo Joon gave her a present, a clothes. Ha Na refused it and even insisted on refusing even thought Seo Joon insisted on giving it to her. They’re about to quarrel and Seo Joon caught Ha Na’s hand. He mumbled something about what she like about that person over him, that person has a boring style. Ha Na asked, “What are you talking about. Do you, by any chance, like me?”
But Seo joon just mumbled, “Ahh, I must be crazy crazy. Something wrong with the food.” Then he left, but hesitated several times. Then he’s back, but his phone rang. His assistant said he had to go somewhere else. Seo joon gave the paper back to Ha Na and told her, “Just wait here, I have to go somewhere just for a while.” In her room, Ha Na checked the paper back and found a nice dress.

Seo Joon’s assistant found a ring that belonged to Ha Na and he’s going to return it. Seo Joon said he’d do it and that made his assistant asked if he really like her. Seo Joon of course said no way. Wrongly, Seo joon talked bad things about Ha Na who was naive and misunderstood him. While Ha Na who was already in front of the entrance heard the whole things. She felt insulted and pledged that she would never ever want to see him again. Ha Na went inside crying and her senior helped her go upstairs. Seo Joon got into the building and saw Ha Na was already with her senior.

The next day Seo joon was back to his work. And then months went by.

Spring (or summer) came, Seo Joon’s work was already out in many billboards in Seoul. Seo joon was on the way for work again. Ha Na was back to Seoul too. She’s going around the city with her senior, looking for a place for her.

Seo In Ha was alaso back to his home country. He came back straightly to his studio. Seo joon came home, of course only his mother at home with the maids. His mother persuaded Seo Joon to go working for her company, but Seo Joon wanted to do his own career. Then his mother persuaded him to give a call to his father, Seo Joon refused. His mother also told him to have dinner with his father, but he once again coldly refused saying he’s very busy. He just disliked his father very much.

Lee Dong Wook was already a doctor and he got a phone call from Chang Mo. They’re talking about meeting and to count In Ha in since he’s already back to Seoul. Chang Mo also gave a call to Hye Jeong. She turned out to be Seo joon’s mother who was a successful business woman in fashion industry. Seo In Ha was busy in his studio, painting. He got a phone call from Chang Mo, too. Then after talking about the meeting plan, Chang Mo asked if he still remembered Kim Yoon Hee. In Ha just said what’s with her. Chang Mo said, “Last time we heard that she died in US, but…mmm let’s just talk about it later.” Chang Mo wasn’t sure if he should tell him that Yoon Hee was alive and now in Korea. Seo In Ha stopped his work for a while, recalling the memories of Yoon Hee.

Ha Na just finished looking for a place when she got a flyer and found her own face on it! The flyer came from Seo Joon’s studio and she had the contact number and address. She was going to protest Seo joon, but she remembered her own words that she didn’t want to see him ever again. But the flyers were just everywhere and even on the street that people were stepping on it. She had to confront Seo Joon for this issue.

Ha Na came to the studio screaming “Yah, Seo Joon! …..” but it was a restaurant. The waiter told her that they shared the building and then showed her the way to the studio, but it was already dark inside.
Seo Joon was enjoying the sun somewhere else, but then decided to just go back to the studio with his assistant.

Ha Na was waiting in front of the studio, outside…fell asleep but still waiting, just like the other day in Japan. To kill time, she checked on the plants in front of the building and they’re all in poor condition, dying. She looked around to the back yard and found a small building there. She entered the hut and found a boy (with young Lee Dong Wook’s face) was sleeping on the couch. He was sleep talking and suddenly grabbed Ha Na. It made Ha Na screamed. In the right time, Seo Joon came and heard the noise. The restaurant waiter said she’s Seo joon’s friend. So Seo Joon, the assistant and the waiter came. “You!!” each Seo Joon and Ha Na was pointing finger towards each other.  The sleep talking boy woke up, but what he did was making Ha Na and himself fell together on the couch that made Seo Joon upset, “What the…” and caught Ha Na.

I like the nuance, the camera effect of this drama, feels warm and smooth, reminded me of instagram And this drama use many foreign songs as its scoring, which can be good and bad in the same time. And I don’t know why they put Yoona’s character looked so excited about T-Ara’s Lovey Dovey instead of SNSD’s -for example- The Boys. Anyway, the preview tells us that in the next episode, Ha Na and Seo Joon’s feelings maybe be developed while their parents will probably see each other again after so many years apart.

Then a sound of music came from the hall in the building in front of them. There are students practicing dancing. In Ha and Yoon Hee were dancing in front of the gate. In Ha said there’s something he wanted to do for Yoon Hee, that was finishing his song and sing it for her. In Ha wrapped up his “Love Rain” song that night with the last lyric was “I love you”.

Yoon Hee came into the class and everyone was staring at her in a negative way. Hye Jeong left before Yoon Hee had a chance to say hi.

Dong Wook challenged In Ha to play tennis. Chang Mo informed In Sook and Hye Jeong about the match and they went in a rush to the tennis court. Dong Wook made a serve, but In Ha just stayed still. Dong Wook kept serving, and In Ha just received the balls with her body, not a single sway of his racket. A female student informed Yoon Hee about the match and she went there. Dong Wook was getting angrier and he’s hurting In Ha with the balls. Chang Mo came forward to stop Dong Wook, while Yoon Hee was shielding In Ha. They’re about to fight, but Yoon Hee asked them to stop. Yoon Hee blamed herself again.

Then Hye Jeong handed the yellow notebook to both of them. Hye Jeong blamed Yoon Hee for ruining the friendship between In Ha and Dong Wook and the cheerful friendships they had before Yoon Hee came. Yoon Hee left, and In Ha came running to catch up with her, but the university was broadcasting the antheme again, so everyone should stay still. But In Ha couldn’t help it. He just approached Yoon Hee abruptly and hugged her tight, but Yoon Hee shrugged him off and went away running.

Yoon Hee checked on her yellow notebook. Apparently, In Ha had written a note on the last page: “I’m very thankful meeting you…” the note started with those words. It’s a kind of In Ha’s confession about his true feelings to Yoon Hee. And he was standing under the rain out side Yoon Hee’s room as she was reading the yellow notebook. In Ha was making his apology and asked her to believe in him. Yoon Hee was going to open her window, but suddenly started coughing, and her handkerchief was full of blood. She’s really sick, it’s a tuberculosis.

In the cafe, Chang Mo got very emotional that since the friendship was ruined, their musical project in the radio was also affected. But as Chang Mo started to sing energetically, Dong Wook and In Ha and the rest of the cafe sang together with him. But In Sook came in a rush, informing In Ha and the others that Yoon Hee was resigning from school, and she was not in her place. She went back to her hometown.

There’s a man looking for Chang Mo and In Ha related to their activity. The two of them seemed to be some kind of activists?

At night, In Ha and Chang Mo had a friendship conversation again. Chang Mo said he was grateful that the three of them could sing and be on the radio. He also said that he wished to go traveling someday, anywhere across the country. He envied In Ha for experiencing love.

In Ha was going to find Yoon Hee in her hometown. He arrived at the station, and Dong Wook was already there.Dong Wook came to give him a cheer up to find Yoon Hee. In Ha finally apologized to Dong Wook, and Dong Wook said he also owe an apology to Yoon Hee.

Yoon Hee was in her hometown. Her grandmother said they should go to their uncle’s place and live there. Her grandmother looked so sad that she’s crying. It’s related to Yoon Hee’s sickness, for sure. Yoon Hee smiled, then excused herself to go around the village.

In Ha came to Yoon Hee’s hometown and found the address. Her grandmother told In Ha that Yoon Hee just went out awhile ago to have a walk. In Ha saw a school and remembered that Yoon Hee’s dad was a teacher. In Ha went there and found Yoon Hee was playing an organs.
In Ha came into the room, but Yoon Hee was about to leave. In Ha tried to talk to her. He said he’s sorry, but Yoon Hee said In Ha didn’t do any mistake. Instead she was telling a lie about her feelings was actually not sincere and in the end she felt sorry for ruining the friendship, that’s why she was running away. In Ha didn’t believe her words and talked about the song he wanted to sing for her. He told her that he’s going to perform the song in university’s event and asked her to go watch it, but Yoon Hee said she didn’t want to hear it anymore. Yoon Hee came home crying, and asked the grandmother to bring her away soon.

In the university, the three men were preparing for a performance. In Ha still didn’t know if Yoon Hee would come or not. Everyone’s mood was up again. Hye Jeong cheered them up and was nice again to In Ha. That made In Ha said, “Hye Jeong, I’m sorry, and thank you.”

Cest la vie performed the last. The MC asked In Ha as the composer that he must have been not alone in the experience of being under the rain. In Ha said no. Then the MC asked if the girl who inspired the song was among the audience. He said she’d come for sure. And yes, Yoon Hee did came. She stood nearby the entrance and In Ha saw her. “Thanks,” said In Ha in his heart.

Then the performance started: Love Rain. Aaah I love the harmony of the three men and their guitars While singing, each of them was thinking about the girl in their heart. In Ha was thinking about his memories with Yoon Hee, Dong Wook as well. While Chang Mo was thinking both Hye Jeong and In Sook. Yoon Hee also recalled the memory she shared with In Ha and eventually cried. The second song was Who Will Stop the Rain. This song was more upbeat.

A couple of police came to Chang Mo’s place. They’re searching something in his room and found some files. Another police was waiting behind the stage, and Chang Mo started running away. In Ha was going to run too, but the police caught him. Yoon Hee collapsed and Dong Wook saw a blood in her hand. When visiting In Ha in the prison, Dong Wook didn’t say anything about Yoon Hee. In Ha said he was going for military soon.

Hye jeong was secretly helping the fugitive Chang Mo. Chang Mo was giving her a hug and told her to take care of herself well. He left with the things Hye Jeong gave him for survival.

Dong Wook was visiting Yoon Hee in the hospital. Yoon Hee said she’s going to her uncle’s place in US for medication. Dong Wook asked if she’s gonna tell In Ha. She said would, but time would eventually tell. She said she wanted to tell In Ha, but his situation wasn’t good and she didn’t want to give him anymore burden. She told Dong Wook not to tell In Ha either.

In Ha was ready for army. His friends bid him goodbye in the train station, except for Chang Mo. Dong Wook handed him a present from Yoon Hee. It turned out to be the watch he gave her earlier. In the note, she told him about she’s going to US. “I can’t bid you goodbye because I’m going to my uncle’s place in US in the same day. That day I listened to the song, I was very happy…” She continued by saying thanks for everything and every moment In Ha had given her: the movie, the yellow umbrella, the share talk about her family. But they have to be parted and she couldn’t keep the watch he gave to her, so she decided to return it. The last words she wrote, “I was happy to be with you.” This was the ending of their love story.In Ha was narrating in his heart. They both would go to separate way from that moment. In Ha would live with the memories with her. The train started to move. Dong Wook finally made up his mind to tell In Ha about Yoon Hee’s real reason of going to US, that she was sick. In Ha was crying on the train. Their love story had to end that way…

Then it was another train, but the same face of In Ha. But this In Ha was holding a modern SLR camera, taking pictures outside the window. The train arrived in the station. The announcement background told us it was in Japan. Like other passengers, that young man got off the train. Suddenly, a girl with Yoon Hee’s face came running from the opposite way and bumped into him. On that first encounter, that young man was counting in his heart, “One..two..three..”

Aaahhh finally saying goodbye to the 70s and the trio I hope the modern setting will still give us some beautiful musical performance..but I can’t have my hope high because obviously, as we can see in the preview of episode 5, Seo Joon would be a photographer. He would also experience that love in 3 seconds with  this girl, Jeong Ha Na.

In Ha was playing the shooting game. The target of the game was an apple with the girl’s name under the apple. If he hit the apple, the girl got the teddy. In Ha shot for Hye Jeong. It took two attempts. But when it came to Yoon Hee’s name, he failed twice and when he’s trying the third, Chang Mo and Dong Wook came. Dong Wook volunteered to do it, but In Ha insisted that he would do it. And he succeeded. But after that he just left coldly. Chang Mo was getting more curious. At night the five friends had small picnic.Yoon Hee didn’t drink and Dong Wook drank the alcohol for her. And that night, Dong Wook finally confessed that the definition of love he said actually came from In Ha. Before things got awkward, the fireworks show started.

The group continued to an indoor activity: dance floor. Ahh it’s so nice seeing that vintage dance they did together. In Ha was dancing with Hye Jeong but his attention was for Yoon Hee whose first partner was Dong Wook. But it’s the kind of moving partner dance. When it’s In Ha and Yoon Hee time, they got awkward. And when Yoon Hee was about to move, In Ha held Yoon Hee’s hand longer. In his heart he said he wished not to let her go.

Then an accident happened when they’re out the dance hall. Yoon Hee didn’t know that a partition of wall was falling towards her. Dong Wook noticed that, but it was In Ha who saved her. He injured his precious right hand. In the hospital, In Ha still said that he could still draw with that condition, his hand was mostly bandaged but the point finger and thumb could still work. Yoon Hee felt so sorry for him and started to cry.

Chang Mo was again the one who noticed there’s a hidden feelings between the two. Then in their room, Chang Mo asked In Ha to tell him the truth as a roomate, about the girl he liked. But their conversation had to stop because Dong Wook came in. What I hate was that In Ha apologized to Dong Wook that he couldn’t confess his feelings towards Yoon Hee that night.

The next day, leaving the studio because his hand hurt and he got upset, In Ha didn’t close his locker properly. He met Yoon Hee outside. She prepared him a box of lunch: kimbab. Yoon Hee asked In Ha if he’s really okay. In Ha said yes. And when Yoon Hee was about to give him the lunch, In Ha coldly said he had to go somewhere. But then In Ha changed his mind and asked Yoon Hee to go with him instead. It was the guitar shop. He’s picking up a new guitar. The man at the shop thought she was his girlfriend, but In Ha said they’re just friends. Yoon Hee looked disappointed.

In Ha asked Yoon Hee to test the sound of the guitar since his hand was injured. But Yoon Hee didn’t know how to play guitar. So In Ha held the chords, while Yoon Hee picked the strings. In Ha started to sing and apparently Yoon Hee also knew the song. They ended up singing duet.

On their way back, In Ha started asking about Yoon Hee’s late parents. Yoon Hee gladly shared her memories about her parents to him. She said her parents love the movie Love Story. In Ha then made a progress, he asked her to go watch it together right away. But unfortunately, the show was over. In Ha asked her to go watch it next time.

In Ha invited Yoon Hee to his studio. He asked Yoon Hee to eat the lunch box together. She saw basic lines of a woman figure on In Ha’s canvas, but stupidly In Ha said it was Hye Jeong. Yoon Hee excused herself to leave, but In Ha insisted they should eat the lunch together. While waiting for In Ha in the studio (he’s out for a while to get some water), Yoon Hee looked around and eventually opened In Ha’s locker. She found her portrait.

In Ha, realizing the same thing, ran back to his studio as fast as he could. But it’s too late. Yoon Hee had seen it. She was too surprise to see it that she dropped some of In Ha’s other paintings (all her portraits). She ran out leaving the studio, but there’s a glimpse of a smile on her face. In Ha came to talk to her, but there’re too many people outside the studio. In Ha brought her to another quite place. He’s about to confess, but his friends were around, even though they couldn’t see In Ha and Yoon Hee. After the friends left, In Ha continued his words. But In Ha didn’t tell Yoon Hee the truth. He just said that he made a painting of Yoon Hee that day because he thought she was a beautiful object. Yoon Hee looked so disappointed. In Ha even asked her not to get him wrong. I really don’t get Seo In Ha, arrrggh! What a stupid stupid man.

Then Chang Mo came in to In Ha studio, seeing his locker opened. Panic, he then tried his best to avoid Dong Wook and Hye Jeong to get into In Ha’s studio. He dragged them out. Dong Wook saw Yoon Hee from the window and ran towards her hurriedly. In Ha went back to his studio, regreting his stupidity right away.

Chang Mo was drinking with Hye Jeong. He said he’s confused that he knew a man was liking a woman, but that man’s friend also like that woman. Meanwhile the first man was like giving the way to his friend hiding his own feelings. Hye Jeong said if she were him, she would tell the truth to the friend. But Chang Mo ended up mumbling that he had liked her for a long time. Hye Jeong was too startled to say anything.

Dong Wook walked Yoon Hee to her area, but Yoon Hee was in the bad mood and tried to push him away. But Dong Wook was too clueless to understand. She asked him to stop. Then Dong Wook was speaking about his late mother, which seemed to touch Yoon Hee. They had something in common then. Yoon Hee lost her parents when she was little. And there came the rain. They both seek a shelter in front of a shop. In that moment, Dong Wook confessed his feelings. And in the same time, In Ha was regretting his stupidity for real that he ran under the rain to find Yoon Hee’s place. But that moment, he saw Yoon Hee was with Dong Wook and she seemed very happy that she’s smiling.

The three friends were going out of town for a trip. The girls came along, too, but only In Sook and Hye Jeong showed up. Dong Wook told his friends that he had confessed to Yoon Hee the other night and was waiting for her response. If she showed up that meant she accepted him. Chang Mo was sitting with In Sook and Hye Jeong. In Ha and Dong Wook thought Yoon Hee wouldn’t come, but she did. It’s late, the train was moving already and In Ha was the one who’s still there waiting for Yoon Hee at the train’s door. He caught Yoon Hee’s hand and they got awkward. But her presence meant that she received Dong Wook’s feelings and In Ha knew his place. Poor In Ha could only watch Yoon Hee and Dong Wool, in the same time unnoticing Hye Jeong’s attention towards him. They went to this beautiful place where there’re hills and beautiful river. It’s the 70s and they played hide and seek to spend the time (what a fun!). Chang Mo ended up hiding together with In Sook. Yoon Hee hid behind the linens, coincidently, In Ha was there too. In Ha said congratulation to Yoon Hee because she’s now an item with Dong Wook. Aarrgh, tupid man! Yoon Hee spoke coldly towards In Ha and she even even sought for another place to hide.

Dong Wook said he had told his friends about them and he thanked her for accepting him.
Aahh I envy the 70s…when their entertainment was going picnic and the men were playing guitar and sang nice songs. But then In Ha’s friends asked In Ha to sing a solo. Before singing, In Ha said he had something to tell hsi friends. He had composed a song that’s inspired from his own experience, the titled was “Love Rain.” And then In Ha (Jang Geun Seok) started to sing the song with his guitar. His song was about his experience with Yoon Hee the time they spent under the yellow umbrella. And the girl kind of noticed it.
Dong Wook asked who’s the girl he was thinking about when he’s composing the song. “Was it the 3 seconds girl?” Everyone demanded him to tell the truth about this girl. In Ha said, “Okay, I’ll tell you the truth…” Yoon Hee looked tense.

I like this drama for bringing up the sweet way youth spent their times during the 70s: cafe, dance, picnic…hide and seek! And those vintage costumes, love them. And I also love the nuance the camera was making…kind of warm and romantic in its own way. And it was a romantic idea to always start this drama with beautiful songs and beautiful performance. For the first time since I’ve been watching JGS’s drama, I have to admit he looks lovable as Seo In Ha, despite the fact his character was a stupid low self esteem man.

Love Rain finally starts. The premise of this drama is actually a cliche, the sort of “my girl was the girl my best friend likes and I end up being the one who step back and give the way to my friend.”

Seo In Ha is a romantic artist, an art student, who believes in love in three seconds. And on that day, he finally met one. This girl, appeared passing him by as In Ha counted in his heart “1…2…3…” and there love embraced him.

The story started in 1970 era. While his friends, Lee Dong Wook, Baek Hye Jeong and Kim Chang Mo were hanging out in the cafe, Seo In Ha was in his studio, painting. He opened the window and saw this girl, Yoon Hee, sitting on the bench in the garden just outside his studio. In Ha started to sketch this girl. But then suddenly the girl disappeared, he looked for her outside, running here and there, until he bumped into a girl. That girl was none other than the girl he’s looking for. In Ha helped the girl tidy up her scattered books and bumped his head with hers when they’re about to get up. Too bad In Ha couldn’t even ask her name.
Then suddenly the university was broadcasting the national anthem and everyone must freeze for a while and give respect. In Ha moved a bit closer to the girl. He knew right away that he had a special feelings for the girl. And when In Ha was picking up his pencil (he dropped it earlier when he bumped into that girl), he found a yellow note book. The owner’s name is Kim Yoon Hee.

In Ha and his friends, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Chang Mo loved to play tennis. And when they play on the court, the girls went crazy for them. Cheering them and calling out their names. Yoon Hee was watching too, recognizing the man as the one she was bumped into earlier. When she was about to leave the sport field, she bumped into some girls and just realized that she lost her notebook.

Getting back to his room, In Ha checked on the yellow note book he found and read the written name: Kim Yoon Hee. He read one of the notes. It’s a kind of diary, but she wrote it in a beautiful way that it sounds like a poetry. In Ha found out that her parents died when she was a kid.

The next day, In Ha was waiting for Yoon Hee in the spot they’re bumping the day before. In Ha was about to leave, but Yoon Hee called him and asked him about the yellow note book. Strangely In Ha didn’t say anything. And when she was about to call Yoon Hee, his friends came out. Chang Mo recognized Yoon Hee as the madonna, but that madonna was the kind of loner that she had only a very few friend.

Kept on reading Yoon Hee’s note book when he’s alone, In Ha found out that Yoon Hee’s dream was to become an actress so she would receive love from many people.

In the library, accidently In Ha saw Yoon Hee from the other side of the shelves. The clumsy In Ha bumped into something that he made a fuzz and some books scattered on the floor. Yoon Hee and Hwang In Sook helped him. In Sook then asked Yoon Hee if she knew Seo In Ha. He’s known for his charisma, one of the most popular men in campus. The other most popular men were his own friends: Lee Dong Wook the music DJ in cafe near university and Kim Chang Mo the easy going who sings well.

One afternoon, it was raining and In Ha met Yoon Hee outside the library. He starightly said, “Hey..uhmmm, please wait for a while.” Then he went back to the library, looking for an umbrella here and there. He even searched in the basement storage. And there he found the yellow umbrealla, but unfortunately it’s broken. Despite the bad condition of his umbrella, they walked together in the rain with In Ha’s half of body was wet.  Surprisingly, Yoon Hee suddenly asked, “Do you like it?” In Ha was startled. “The rain,” continued Yoon Hee. “Do you like rain?” In Ha answered yes, and Yoon Hee said she loved it too. And when a car passed by, In Ha covered her and they both asked, “Are you okay?” Then In Ha gave the umbrella to Yoon Hee and said he had another appointment. Yoon Hee asked when she could return it. They ended up making an appointment to watch a movie together, Love Story.

Yoon Hee was waiting for a bus and looking at the movie Love Story poster. Lee Dong Wook came approached her and started to flirt. “Don’t you remember me?” asked Dong Wook. Yoon Hee didn’t seem to know him. After insisting that they’s seen each other before Dong Wook straightly asked her “You like to watch Love Story? Should we watch together? Next time when we meet, let’s watch it together.” Dong Wook seemed to have a crush on Yoon Hee. Meanwhile In Ha was finishing his sketch, Yoon Hee potrait, coloring it.

Then his happiness inspired him to compose a song with guitar. In Ha seems to be a very talented artist, good with painting and music. Okay, he’s popular not for no-reason. Dong Wook came and shared his happiness with In Ha. So apparently, Dong Wook had met Yoon Hee before, at the bus stop.That’s why he kept insisting Yoon Hee that they’ve met before. Dong Wook’s finger was bleeding when they’re waiting for a bus and Yoon Hee was treating his wound. That’s how Dong Wook had a crush on her.

Again in his room that night, In Ha kept on reading Yoon Hee’s diary. He found out about Yoon Hee’s hobbies, favorite flower and even her dream prince.

That day Lee Dong Wook was very excited, asking his friends to help him. It’s about a girl, and In Ha had no idea at all until Kim Chang Mo right guessed it to be “That madonna! Ah, the girl Dong Wook was chasing was that Madonna.” In Ha, the man with low self esteem couldn’t say anything and straightly step back and give the chance to his friend. The girl who always hang out with In Ha and friends, Baek Hye Jeong, brought along Yoon Hee and her friend, Hwang In Sook, to meet the boys.

Then Dong Wook said something romantic about what love was, exactly the same words In Ha told him the night before about what love was. The night Dong Wook and In Ha shared the story that they had found their love in 3 seconds. The low self esteem In Ha even let his friend move forward to pursue Yoon Hee. In Ha wanted Yoon Hee to be happy. Ahhh this type of mannn! Where’s your fighting spirit?? Dong Wook really had no idea that the girl In Ha was talking about was Yoon Hee. In Ha started to have a bad mood towards Dong Wook, but he couldn’t really upset towards him.

After shopping, Yoon Hee and Hye Jeong went back to campus together. Yoon Hee was asked by Hye Jeong if she really liked Dong Wook. Yoon Hee said she was touched when Dong Wook said about love the other day. Then Hye Jeong told Yoon Hee her secret: she liked In Ha and wanted to be In Ha’s wife in the future.

On the other side of the university, Kim Chang Mo was posing for the painting class when he accidently found In Ha’s precious paintings: Yoon Hee’s potrait and the sketch as well.

The clueless Dong Wook asked In Ha about the girl he talked about. In Ha said it just didn’t work. They met Hye Jeong and Yoon Hee on the way, and In Ha hurriedly excused himself from the group. But Hye Jeong got more curious if In Ha liked Yoon Hee. She didn’t hesitate to ask In Ha right away. In Ha just answered, “The person Dong Wook like, I like her (in the term of liking as my friend’s girl -sort of).”

That rainy night, In Ha met Yoon Hee again outside the library. In Ha gave Yoon Hee an umbrella. Yoon Hee asked if it was because of her that he kept separating himself from the group. In Ha denied, it was actually because he was busy. Arrgh this man. Even when Yoon Hee told him that she and Dong Wook had no such a love relationship yet, he just pushing her to get closer with his friend. In the end, In Ha decided to really forget about Yoon Hee. He put Yoon Hee’s painting in the locker.

So now I get the misunderstanding they teasers articles always talked about. This Seo In Ha guy had a serious character problem. He maybe a talented artist and very romantic one, but has zero fighting spirit. I don’t know if it’s because he doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Dong Wook or he’s just such a low self esteem person. I think I know where this 1970 part of the story was going, but don’t want to jump into any conclusion before watching the next episode tomorrow.

Ahh, one more thing. I like Seo In Gook’s acting in this drama. He plays Kim Chang Mo well. And I like the mellow song he sang at the beginning of this drama. I’ll share it here as soon as I found it on Youtube
