Lee Jong Hyuk – Korean Drama Choa https://kdramachoa.com Liking Korean Drama, Music, and Movie Thu, 26 Jul 2012 04:51:33 +0000 en-US hourly 1 “Gentleman’s Dignity” Best Prologues https://kdramachoa.com/gentlemans-dignity-best-prologues/ https://kdramachoa.com/gentlemans-dignity-best-prologues/#comments Thu, 26 Jul 2012 04:38:57 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=24083 The most anticipated scene in SBS Drama “Gentleman’s Dignity” episodes is definitely the prologue. Every episode, they always have the first 2-3  minutes for prologue, telling short flashback or insight of the brotherhood and as well as manhood. I guess all of us who’ve been following this drama have our own favorite among the prologues. And yesterday, Naver posted five best prologues so far (Gentleman’s Dignity last week broadcast episode 17-18).

#1. Episode 4 prologue: “High School Memories.” It was very hilarious watching those middle-age men in high school uniforms. Kim Soo Ro’s hairstyle was the worst. Couldn’t stop laughing about it. It’s a kind of parody for Jang Dong Gun’s famous movie in 2001 “Friend.” It’s definitely parodying “Friend” when the teacher, after interrogating the quartet who gave the idea of watching adult movie and the three were back-stabbing Jeong Nok, asked Kim Do Jin (Jang Dong Dun): “Why you look familiar? Is your father from Busan?” and Do Jin just flatly said, “No, I’m a native Seoul citizen.”

#2. Episode 6 prologue: “Billiard Championship.” The quartet said that billiard is the gentleman’s game. The most interesting thing about this prologue was the background song: a Mandarin song by Leslie Cheung. Kim Do Jin-Lee Jong Nok team lost the game from Im Tae San- Choi Yoon team. I like the narration at the end: “Now we have more than enough money to open a billiard center, yet we’re still curse each other and fought for even only a cue. Why? Because adolescents don’t mean mature. They’re just getting old.” And Kim Do Jin left still wearing a slipper while his shoes were still in the billiard center.

#3. Episode 11 prologue: “Basketball game at camping site.” The quartet forgot that they time had over. They boasted about how good they had been as basketball players…while they forgot one important factor: youth. They went camping but all of them just brought luxurious drinks, none brought any food. So in order to get food, they’re daring a group of young men with plenty of food to trade. They thought they could win, but at the end, they’re a total loser.

#4. Episode 14 prologue: “The cellphone and glasses conference.” Tae San, Yoon and Do Jin were crying over a sad-ending drama on TV while Jong Nok was late for it. But he brought the earliest cell-phone in Korea ever! (he comes from a wealthy family). And the three were so excited about it. Then they were joking the “what if” imaginations of what we know now as current tech. Like what if the cell-phone became lighter and smaller, then without buttons and finger touch for zoom in and out. What if through a single cell phone one could listen to music, watch movies, and so on. What if a PC could be as thin as a book and people would call it “notebook”. That time they were like “eeeeeeiiiggghhhs” (expression of: “bloody no way”). At the end of the prologue they imagined they had a conference of four dressed like Steve Jobs and talked about visions.

#5. Episode 16 prologue. “Yoon’s wife funeral.” Different from other four prologues which are comical, this one is a serious and sad one. We all know that Yoon character is a widower for his wife had died but he still put on his wedding ring until episode 18. So this prologue tells about the day Yoon’s wife died. The other three friends were in the middle of their own business when they received the message. They just left for Yoon immediately. The devastated Yoon couldn’t do much during the funeral and his brothers knew it. They were the ones who took care of the funeral, even taking Yoon’s place to receive condolence from the guests.

That’s Naver version of best 5 “Gentleman’s Dignity” prologue. But I want to add one more, my favorite one before the “Cell phone” prologue. It’s Episode 5 prologue, “SNSD.” The men were arguing about who’s the best among SNSD members. Do Jin’s favorite was Tae Yeon (best voice), Tae San was Yoori (sexy and plays on drama), and Jeong Nok was Tiffany (best smile), while Yoon acted like the grown up one saying that they should better care more about the country than a girl group. But suddenly Soo Young of SNSD showed up in the cafe and surprisingly Yoon was the fastest to approach her. He was excitedly asking for her autograph and even surprisingly sing and dance a line of “Gee” and “Shoot”.

The Gentlemen Parade on “Gentleman’s Dignity” Press Conference https://kdramachoa.com/the-gentlemen-parade-on-gentlemans-dignity-press-conference/ https://kdramachoa.com/the-gentlemen-parade-on-gentlemans-dignity-press-conference/#comments Thu, 24 May 2012 12:54:42 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=22475

Yesterday, the gentlemen got together and wearing the neat and luxury suit, they were Jang Dong Gun, Kim Min Jong, Kim Soo Ro, and Lee Jong Hyuk. these gorgeous ajeossi-deul, being together like this just because one lady, Kim Eun Suk.

Yeah..finally, Kim Eun Suk’s new drama “Gentleman’s Dignity” ready to airing this weekend (first episode on May 26th) on SBS, that’s why on May 23rd was held press conference for that drama.

Since the drama tells about adult love story, so most of the casts absolutely veteran actors. but frankly, it’s doesn’t matter for me, looking Jang Dong Gun, Kim Min Jong, and others on small screen again, because their charm never fade. Even i’m not fans of F4, but i always love idea about brotherhood or sisterhood, and i think this drama will bring more point about friendship and relationship.

The lovely daddy, Jang Dong Gun, looked so dashing with that suit. I’m really excited about his comeback after a very long hiatus on small screen, twelve years..whoaaa…he’s so gorgeous…

Kim Min Jong, simple and relaxed in t-shirt and black jacket.

Kim Soo Ro, i don’t know why, every time i look at him, i always smile, because os his face…

for the apparance, Kim Jong Hyuk my favorite, he looks like a bad boy..oops..i mean a bad ajeossi, and i love the bad guy.

Not only the gentlemen, the ladies also shows their graces. Kim Ha Neul, no doubt, she’s really pretty, i love her white outfit especially the rimple on top.

Yoon Se Ah, can i addressed her as ajeomma? but i think she doesn’t deserved for that since she looked so hot with the green mini dress.

Kim Jung Nan, looked so elegant but i think her dress was too stiff.

Yoon Jin Yi, so cute with her simple hairstyle and her white mini dress.

Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul, the perfect couple for this year…

So lets watch the brotherhood among these gentlemen on SBS as weekend drama…

Kim Ha Heul’s Stills From “Gentlemen’s Dignity” https://kdramachoa.com/kim-ha-heuls-stills-from-gentlemens-dignity/ https://kdramachoa.com/kim-ha-heuls-stills-from-gentlemens-dignity/#respond Wed, 11 Apr 2012 14:13:40 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=20925

After the gentlemen begin their brotherhood, now the main heroine on “Gentlemen’s Dignity”, Kim Ha Neul, showed the charisma as the high school ethics teacher, Yi Soo. These are photos for her first filming on April 8th. Kim Ha Neul looked impressive and pretty, especially with that blue jacket.

As the teacher and mature figure, Yi Soo still has a bright and cheerfull personality. She will face Jang Dong Gun’s character, Kim Do Jin the perfectionist architect. Then, with these different personalities they will bring a bickering relationship. Okay this is a rom-com, so I expect they are gonna wild and crazy here…

“Gentlemen’s Dignity” tells about four flower ajeossideul who learn about love, lost, and hope from so many things, maybe also from this pretty teacher. This drama will be running on KBS start on May 26.

Crime Squad Episode 1-2 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/crime-squad-episode-1-2-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/crime-squad-episode-1-2-summary/#comments Tue, 22 Mar 2011 16:57:07 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=7356 Here comes the Crime Squad. It’s a bit late though, but turn out to be quite an interesting drama to watch.

Here’s the brief introduction.

Park Se Hyeok was an eccentric policeman. He can be very determine in tracking down a drug trafficker, but sometimes he just broke the law to put his fist on a suspect murderer. He’s shabby and sometimes ignorance. He’s thinking about quitting his job.

That’s the young and awkward Detective Shin Dong Jin. Together he work with Park Se Hyeok in the team.

Jo Min Joo was a new girl in town. She’s going to live in her friend’s apartment, where this mob-like detective Nam Tae Shik, was a neighbor. He’s also Park Se Hyeok’s co-worker.

There’s a series or murders of young women around the city. Park Se Hyeok just frustrated facing the reality that even a serial killer suspect could played lunatic to avoid jail and people seemed to buy it. He told his higher, team leader Kwon, that he’s resigning. He’s tired of being frustrated that he couldn’t do much to fight injustice.

Meanwhile, Jo Min Joo started her first day as an intern in this eyes-rolling entertainment website: shocking.com, with an eyes-rolling-amazingly-weird-style boss. They cover celebrities scandals, but the problem was they always got the out of date story. Min Joo’s pressure was high. She wanted to the best on her first day. She let herself stumbling down to get the best shot of an idol in fighting scandal at the police station. That idol turned out to be set up by his victim and witness, and Park Se Hyeok, who turned out to be his “teacher” saved him. Min Joo made some shots when Se Hyeok and the idol was talking. He then immidiately got her and broke her memory card. She was hopeless.

While Captain Kwon was having his official retirement ceremony, Se Hyeok was visiting his late daughter’s final rest place. His daughter, Park Hae In, was killed in an accident long time ago, and that’s what Captain Kwon thought as the strongest reason why Park Se Hyeok became a policeman.

Another man came to the cemetery. I think they shared the same bad memory, his wife was also the victims of the same tragedy. He’s talking about taking revenge, and that left alot of thoughts in Park Se Hyeok’s mind.

At the police office, a new captain of the team had come. His name was Jung Il Do.

The another-victim husband Park Se Hyeok met at the cemetery turned to be someone fishy. His name was Lee Dong Jin and he’d been keeping his eyes on Park Se Hyeok all these time. He even got two people to work for him on it. He always got an update about what happened at the police office.

That’s just how miserable Park Se Hyeok was…

Min Joo was asking for another chance to her boss and she got it. She was so determined to get an interview that she even traspassed someone’s house. There she met Lee Dong Jin, the man from the cemetry, but he refused to to be interviewed. Min Joo just left her name card to him.

Park Se Hyeok and Jung Il Do turned out to have known each other. And they’re connected through the incident that costed his daughter’s life. Jung Il Do was the police officer that time who shot a gun fire to a criminal on the wheel. The criminal was shot and the car was turned away and hit the restaurant nearby where, at that time, Se Hyeok’s daughter was happily waving her hands at him and Lee Dong Jin’s wife was waiting for him.

It didn’t take long for Lee Dong Jin to make a move. He’s too tired of grieving…that’s when he decided to avenge his wife death. He kidnapped Jung Il Do. Park Se Hyeok and the team were hurriedly saving their captain.

Episode 2

Park Se Hyeok managed to save Jung Il Do. Regardless his wounded memory and desperation, he figured out that Lee Dong Jin intended to redo the tragedy by hiding Jung Il Do in the restaurant while the car was about to hit it.  Park Se Hyeok was injured. He was brought to the hospital.

Right after the incident, Jo Min Joo received a mysterious package. It turned out to the video related to Lee Dong Jin’s action. She insisted to bring it to the police, but her boss saw this as money so he told her to upload it to their site. And the result of this, they had to stand behind the bars…

It didn’t take long for Park Se Hyeok to return to work. He even took back his resignation letter. When Jung Il Do asked why, he said it’s what his daughter wanted him to do.

Lee Dong Jin was planning another scheme. He’s robbing a bank and someone got killed from that incident.

Meanwhile, there’s this policewoman, Jin Mi Sook, had been so determined to work hard to get stationed in the homicide department. She was a friend of Heo Eun Yeong this “model” policewoman.

Min Joo visited her mother at the hospital. Her mother was suffered from dementia -i guess, because she didn’t recognized her. One thing was very interesting. Min Joo was talking about how she longed for her lost father to her mom…she showed her this locket…mm am I seeing right? That picture looked similar to the one Se Hyeok had… :?

Heo Eun Yeong was at the bank when she recognized Shin Dong Jin. She decided to follow him, but ended up being kidnapped. Park Se Hyeok heard the news and got the Doctor as the exchange hostage. Lee Dong Jin demanded him to come alone and he did, but Mi Sook came as a back up out of nowhere.

Lee Dong Jin’s team managed to stripped Min Sook and Se Hyeok’s guns. Later they just found that Eun Yeong was already dead. Lee Dong Jin locked the three of them in the container and put a ticking bomb alive. Se Hyeok succeeded to set them all free. For this event, Se Hyeok got a detention for not following order..

The super curious Min Joo asked for an interview, but Se Hyeok refused. However, this very determined girl tailed him. Se Hyeok was about to get mad, but Min Joo told him a touching story about her miserable life. He let her speak and she gave him a clue about what Lee Dong Jin and the team really intended to do.

They’re after a very expensive diamond necklace… Min Sook, who would never let go of Lee Dong Jin also figured out his next step. She met Se Hyeok and Min Joo on the way to the exhibiton. The three tried to catch Lee Dong Jin and the gang, but they’re too late. They tried to read his next movement and the lead brought them to the port. Lee Dong Jin and the gang was going by the ship. Se Hyeok thought they managed to corner the trio bad guys, but the fact was the opposite way.

This drama is alot better than “The Thorn Birds” and I really hope I can follow  this one till the final episode. I’m so curious about Min Joo’s locket. And I hope for more surprises along with less drama cliches…
