In Hae was not waking up yet. Shi On felt guilty. And the problem didn’t stop there for him. When he visited his father, the old man asked him for forgiveness, but he just refused to do that. “I still hate you,” said Shi On.

And there’s another thing disturbing Shi On’s mind. He remembered how the male doctors were talking bad about Yoon Seo. He only shared it with male nurse Jo.

Yoon Seo got an invitation from her friend to go out on weekend. The friend said maybe they would go meeting some men after that. Yoon Seo was upset, telling her that she’s with Shi On now and she would take him with her on weekend. But when Yoon Seo told Shi On about this and invited him, he refused.

Something was bothering Dr.Kim’s mind. He’s so upset that In Hae was not waking up yet. He took Chae Kyeong to a church. They’re just sitting there, praying.

Shi On started to have a doubt of their relationship. He is even thinking of letting her go.

Meanwhile, the hospital politics just passed the climax. Dr.Kang turned his back on his ally and let the hospital alone. So everything would be fine for Chae Kyeong and her step mom (who are now getting along with each other well) and Dr.Choi.

Shi On told Yoon Seo that he and her were Peter Pan and Wendy who live in different worlds. Yoon Seo was upset. Shi On criticized her for getting upset easier now. “Well yeah because now is different between us. We’re no more brother-sister relationship,” said Yoon Seo. She just asked him to be more confident and trust her.

Their fight was not finish when they were paged. In Hae was still not waking up and her condition was critical. Everyone was feeling down because of this: Dr.Kim alone in his room, Shi On was in his station, Yoon Seo stayed with In Hae and Dr.Han stayed with In Yeong.

That night in Shi On’s dream he saw In Hae was playing in a green park with another little girl, but then they bid goodbye. The next morning, In Hae finally woke up.

Dr.Kang left the hospital. When he met Dr.Kim on his way out and asked what he’s gonna do next, he said he’s just going to live as a father from then on.

Shi On’s father decided to discharged himself out of the hospital. His condition was actually bad and Dr.Choi tried to convince him to just stay, but the old man preferred to spend his last moments at home. As Shi On watched his father left, in his heart he wished to have at least one good memory with him.

Yoon Seo caught the two residents who talked bad about her relationship with Shi On. Yoon Seo was really giving them a lesson. She scolded them and reminded them that in comparison with Shi On’s performance at work, they’re not his league. Shi On secretly watched the whole scene. And when Yoon Seo found him there, she said why couldn’t he be brave and told them to stop what they’d been doing. She made a point.

In the station, Shi On was discussing about love with Dr. Han. The nice guys gave him a good advice.

Dr.Kim finally asked Chae Kyeong to marry him. “Let’s get married. Let’s live well together from now on.”

Shi On finally agreed to go with Yoon Seo to the meeting with her friends. Shi On looked nervous. Yoon Seo’s friend doubted Shi On would go well with the rest of the girls, but he did well. And they had their first kiss there, in front of the girls.

Dr.Kim and his team went to Dr.Choi to discuss about Shi On’s status in the hospital. Even Dr.Go attended the meeting and support the idea of making Shi On as an official resident of the hospital.

Before the ceremony, in their station, Dr.Kim helped Shi On wearing a tie. They made quite an elaborate ceremony for him and the he made the speech. The point of his speech was he’s been doing his best, but he’s not there yet, so he would still do his best in the future. He’s thanking everyone for believing him and loving him.

Dr.Kim approached Shi On who was sitting alone. He called Shi On, “Shi On-a.” Shi On was surprised because it was the first time Dr.Kim called him by name. “Let’s be brothers,” said Kim Do Han. Shi On was about to ask, but Dr.Kim snapped him with “if you don’t want just forget it.” Then Shi On called him “Hyeong (brother).” Kim Do Han reminded him, “Call me brother when it’s just two of us.” Shi On got him. On that moment, he got a call from his mom that his father passed away. He went home to visit his mom who was sitting alone holding his father’s picture. Shi On hugged her.

A year later.

Some kids in a country side were cheering for the 3D TV, a charity from Dr.Park Shi On. Shi On lived happily with his mom.

In the hospital, Shi On who was then a senior, became a very strict senior. He was scolding a junior for making a mistake which should be taken seriously so in the future he wouldn’t do the same mistake again. The rest of the team could only just laugh at scene, watching Shi On scolding. And do you know who’s the new junior?? Park Gi Woong!! OMG this was hilarious.. and the cute Park Gi Woong with glasses…
Dr.Go came into the station and asked Shi On to be a little kinder to the junior. Shi On said he couldn’t, so the junior should work hard. Then Dr.Go went out to the bench where the poor junior was sitting alone, just like Shi On used to be. He looked down. Dr.Go bought the couple ice cream bar and offer a share with the junior. Innocently the junior got the bigger part.

In Hae was finally discharged from the hospital.Dr.Han and In Yeong was officially an item. In Hae reminded Shi On and Yoon Seo to stay well together.

The last dialogue between Shi On and Dr.Kim was before they’re entering an OR. Shi On asked Dr.Kim what is a good doctor for him. His answer was: all the doctors who make effort to be a good doctor are good doctors.

Kang To brought Mok Dan away deep into the woods until he stumbled his way. Mok Dan refused to proceed saying that she’s tired. “Don’t cry. It’s our wedding day,” said Mok Dan to Kang To seeing his face was full of streaming tears. “Being like this, how am I going to do? I really want to serve you warm food everyday, but… You have to be strong. Even when I’m gone, promise me you have to be strong.” Mok Dan took his last breath in Lee Kang To’s arm.

Shonji who was following the blood trace in the woods heard Kang To’s scream. He saw Mok Dan’s body in Kang To’s arm and started to blame KAng To. “It’s all because of you. Because of you.” He’s about to shoot Kang To when suddenly Baek Geon came from behind him and knocked him down. Kang To and Baek Geon took Mok Dan away. Waking up alone, Shonji could only kneeled before Mok Dan’s blood and wept.

So many fighters died in Dong Jin’s camp, but the two leaders were safe.

Shonji reported to the police leaders that they killed 300 people, but Yang Baek, Dong Jin and Gaksital were still fugitives.
Back to his office, Shonji ignored a phone call. Apparently it was Lara because later on she came and complained he didn’t pick it up. She was curious about what had happened. Shonji was still in shock of Mok Dan’s death. “I killed Mok Dan. I let you live when your father told me to kill you but I kill Mok Dan with my hand. It was her and Lee Kang To’s wedding. It was the first time she looked so happy.” Then Shonji put all the blame to Kang To and got much anggrier than before. He pledged to kill Lee Kang To. “You wait and see,” he said to Lara.

Lee Kang To was still lying on Mok Dan’s grave, crying. But he remembered what Mok Dan had told him. “Lee KAng To, be strong. You have promised her. Be strong,” he said to himself in his heart.Then Baek Geon came to lift up his fighting spirit by telling him that the fighters had all died. It work, Kang To woke up and went to see Dong Jin and Yang Baek.

The last few fighters proceed with their plan, though now the leaders also had to come down to the battle field. They’re entering the city in disguise. The traitor girl’s brother was the only student fighter that survive. He’s going with Dong Jin and another freedom fighter to enter the city.

Shonji, arriving at his office receive a file from his subordinates, it’s a file of pictures. Shonji opened it in his room, they are pictures of Kang To and Mok Dan’s wedding. He cried as he saw all those pictures.

Ueno mocked Lara who still dared to call him father after betraying him by not telling the truth about Lee Kang To. Then he ordered his right hand man to execute Lara. Joon Katsuyama instantly drew his sword to defend his lady. Joon was outskilled and fell back, but suddenly, Gaksital showed up.

Gaksital knocked down Ueno’s man, and Joon executed him. Ueno’s position was wide open. After a short speech, Gaksital hit Ueno’s head hard. Ueno’s life ended there.

Gaksital was already on his way out when Lara called him. “I heard about what happened to Mok Dan. I couldn’t do anything even though I know you must be feeling so hurt right now. But Kimura Shonji is also feeling down.” But Gaksital knew that no matter what, he’s facing Shonji again was the most certain faith above everything.

Lara made a call to Shonji telling about Gaksital who had killed Ueno. She asked Shonji to reconcile with Gaksital/Kang To but of course there’s no such a thing for Shonji. It’s all too late for him. “You’re not thinking of doing something stupid, are you?” asked Lara. “You’re now alone, are you?” asked Shonji back. “Yes, i’m alone. If i’m leaving alone, will you look for me?” Shonji smiled and shook his head. Then he said to Lara, “Bye. Live your life well.” She knew exactly what that means.

Lara was leaving alone, without Katsuyama. That broken hearted man had served her loyally all this time just like a shadow. He confessed his feelings to Lara once again, but she’s just feeling grateful for him and thought he deserved someone much better. She’s ready to go, but she looked back. “Katsuyama, my name is Chae Hong Joo. Chae Hong Joo,” she said with a smile on her face. “I will always remember my lady’s name,” said that man.

Gaksital came to Kimura’s house. He entered the empty funeral hall and took off his mask. He moved to another room. Shonji had been waiting for him there, seating very calmly. Shonji served them alcohol. He seemed to want to make their last meeting civilized, probably to honor their past relationship.  “Kang To-ya, shouldn’t we have a drink first as it’s gonna be our last?” he said. Kang To sat in front of him and they had a drink. Oh I love this scene when these two ex-bestfriends, these two cool guys, sitting face to face, one in white and the other on black. “Did you buried her well?” asked Shonji. “I did send her well,” said Kang To. Shonji showed him the wedding picture. Kang To tried so hard to hold his emotion. He just closed his eyes few seconds and then opened it again. “You killed Mok Dan by your hand. But do you think I come because you only killed one person, Mok Dan?” Kang To reminded him that he had killed many people, Dam Sari, the circus leader, and those fighters but he didn’t seem to have any regret for them. So Kang To came there for justice. Then they’re talking about their inevitable duel that’s about to come. Their one on one ultimate fight was coming in minute. “Of course I’m ready,” said Shonji. “Just wait for me out side. I’ll be out soon.” Kang To walked outside. Shonji took out his gun and pointed it to his own head. KAng To was only a few steps away from the room when he heard the blow. He heard the house keeper scream. KAng To just dropped a tear and then left.

The movement continued. Kang To and the remaining freedom fighters worked together for their great action. They’re producing many gaksitals (mask) and spreading the news to people.

The colonial police prepared for the people’s movement. The fighters who are armed wore black on the front row, while the people are behind wearing white, covered their face with gaksital and waving Taegukgi in their hands. Gaksital walked among those people. His fight, the Korean people’s fight didn’t stop there.

What a great drama!! OMG, as I was writing this summary, I was still suffocated. Too many people die. And it’s a very harsh reality for Kang To. He lost most people he loved, but he has to just bear it and be strong…he has a long fight to come for his country. It’s probably a SAD ending (not BAD one, please underline), but we viewers has to remember that this drama is about Gaksital’s journey of life and his fight for his country’s freedom. The personal conflict and love life are just part of the big picture, not the main conflict itself.   Gaksital, the hero of freedom movement era, had a very tragic life…but that didn’t compromise his fighting spirit for the freedom of his beloved country.

Too bad Shonji had to witness this nightmare scene again. If I had been him, I would’ve gone crazy. After seeing own brother dead, now own father? In the hand of one same man, Gaksital. Well, we couldn’t blame him when he outraged towards Gaksital. They stood face to face as real enemy now. Lee Kang To took off his mask. They fought, a very personal fight. Beat each other with no mercy. Kang To managed to tackle Shonji down. But they both were crying as they fought. It’s a very emotional fight. They remembered how they used to be best friends and look at them now! Kang To let go of Shonji and then went away.

Shonji went back to the room where his father was still on the floor, bleeding, and dead. He cried a heart breaking cry.

Kang To came back as he promised Mok Dan to have dinner together. Mok Dan served him the meals she promised. Remembering what just happened between him and Shonji, Kang To cried as he ate his dinner. “Right now how’s Shonji gonna be? I killed his father, Kimura Taro. He saw it. I hope we just never meet again. But i know he will never give up. Someday we will face each other again.” Mok Dan tried to sooth his feelings.

At the funeral of his father, Shonji pledged that he would avenge his father’s death. He’s making a phone call with Ueno and that Kishokai Leader give him permission to express his anger by killing Chae Hong Joo aka Lara. Her biggest sin for Kishokai was not telling them the truth about Lee Kang To identity as Gaksital, so she deserved to be punished by the death of Kimura Taro. Ueno sent Lara to pay respect to Shonji.

After paying her respect to the mourning Shonji, he suddenly dragged Lara to another room and drew his sword towards her. Fearless, Lara looked at Shonji in the eyes and said that she knew his step father had planned this. “It’s better for me to die in your hand than in father’s hand.” But Shonji, feeling pity to her poor situation, let her go.

Ueno was having dinner with the chief police and Murayama to discuss about using any method to finish Yang Baek and other freedom fighters. He was surprise seeing Lara came back, still alive.

Shonji came to work and then went to patrol around the city. On the way, he noticed the reporter Gaksital helped to flee, just stepped out of Angel club. He interrogated Madam Tasha and the waiter and finally suspect them both. Too bad those two people had to experience being dragged into the interrogation dungeon. Tasha never give up lying when Shonji asked him what that reporter was doing in her club. Shonji didn’t buy it, so he started whipping both of them. The waiter couldn’t bare the torture, so he opened his mouth and leak some information.

Soon the club Madam and the waiter were released. The waiter couldn’t stop crying and asking for forgiveness. But Tasha understood as their situation was so bad. She finally decided to close down her club.

With the information he got, Shonji shared this to Murayama and they set up a plan.

The freedom fighters also discussing about the strategy to enter the city. The repoter came and said tomorrow the city would hold a parade of students. They need more fighters to recruit.

Kang To was meeting up Mok dan somewhere among the bushes of flowers. He gave her the ring he made from the wild flower with the help of Mok Dan’s friend. Then he proposed her.

Lara told Joon Katsuyama to just go to sleep as he hadn’t been sleeping for a couple of nights. That loyal guard was worried about his lady. Lara said there’s nothing she could do anyway. Running away? What could Joon do? Feeling frustrated, Joon spoke out his true feelings,  “Why you can’t see my heart? Why you could see Lee Kang To’s heart and Kimura Shonji’s heart, but cannot see my heart?” Whatever they’re saying, Lara’s position was very bad.

The freedom fighters were ready for action. But Shonji was also ready for his plan. The city was having a parade of students with colonial propaganda. Gaksital showed up and then the rest of the freedom fighters.After beating down the colonial police, the freedom fighters were inviting the students to fight along with them. They’re taking the students to Dong Jin’s camp, including the circus traitor girl’s little brother. What they didn’t know was, Shonji had put a couple of his men among the students.

Shonji followed them with Goiso, but no ambush, yet. They just waited nearby. During lunch, one of the spies sneak out to report to Shonji about what he saw and heard. Yang Baek, Dong Jin and Gaksital were there…only one great ambush, Shonji could have them all.

Ueno reported to Ueno about his progress and Ueno was content. After meeting Ueno, Lara asked him to have a drink together. Lara opened the conversation about how they’re gonna deal with the fact that both persons they each love will soon die, Kang To and Mok Dan. It’s gonna be hard for Lara because she sincerely love Lee KAng To no matter what. But for Shonji, he accepted the harsh reality.

Kang To and Mok DAn was going to hold their wedding before their big action. Circus Leader gave Mok Dan the wedding dress Dam Sari asked him to give her when the time had come. Kang To promised Circus Leader that he would give happiness to Mok Dan and took care of her well.

And there it was the wedding moment. It was simple but nice. Circus Leader walked Mok Dan through the aisle. What these people least expect was their worst nightmare: Shonji and his troops were heading towards their base camp. They’re going to do the great ambush. Before leaving, on his briefing, Shonji said to his men that their main target was to kill Yang Baek, Dong Jin and Oh Mok Dan. “But Lee Kang To, spare him for me.”

The Circus Leader gave Mok Dan’s hand to Kang To. They all looked so happy. In the same time, Shonji had arrived there and saw the wedding in full of surprise.

Oh nooooo…. I’m soooo not feeling good about the ending I sensed there’re gonna be many who die. Who’s gonna die first? Mok Dan? Arrgh. And who’s gonna be last man standing and bear all the pain? Okay, I can’t be this emotional as if I’ve never seen it coming… But above all I really hope they’re gonna give many great scenes and amazing story for final episode. Can’t wait…

On September 1st, Park Ki Woong through his twitter account uploaded the comical picture  from his recent drama “Bridal Mask” set. Park Ki Woong posed with his best partner, Joo Won. They both showed the “V” sign so adorably,  and with those legs,  i think this pic was too cute, they’re just like kids.

As Shonji Kimura  and Lee Kang To, as former-bestfriends, they’re trapped on conflict situation, hatred and misunderstanding. They both have burden to take revenges which forces them to kill each other. But behind the scene, as Park Ki Woong and Joo Won, they become the real bestfriends and brothers. Along side the picture, Park Ki Woong also wrote that he really loved his dongsaeng, Joo Won.

As for the result of prison break action, the police tortured the tailor. But it’s no use anymore, he’s dead.

In Yang Baek’s hiding quarter, the leaders were discussing about the new strategy. Dam Sari asked permission to be out on the battle field in the place of Mr. Yang. Everyone looked sad, but supportive towards Dam Sari for he decided to be a martyer, more or less, even though Mok Dan asked him to promise her to come back. He told Mok Dan that the reason he fought for the country was to give Mok Dan a better, happier and free live.

Later on on the street, the patroling police suddenly alert when they thought they saw the car with Yang Baek inside was passing through the street. Shonji, Goiso and others were after it. In the same time, the rest of freedom fighters who hid in the tailor place led themselves out for a move. Everyone was on disguise, including Mr.Yang. The police finally succeeded to make the car stop. Dam Sari and his men were fighting the police, but knowing they’re outnumbered, Dam Sari told them to go and leave him alone.
Shonji was surprise seeing the man he got was Dam Sari. He told Shonji that Mr.Yang, Dong Jin and Gaksital would fight till the end and he had a fight for them. “Bye now, poor buddy,” he said to Shonji. To anyone surprise, Dam Sari shot himself on the head to death.

Mok Dan was finally be able to meet Kang To. He said he’s fine even though his body was a little hurt. Mok Dan had had a feeling about what happened to her father, but she still had no idea yet of what had happened to him.

Shonji and the policemen came to the tailor building for investigation. But they’re way too late, eventhough they could find the hidden chamber.Desperate for having no clue about the freedom fighters whereabout, the police could only expressed their anger towards that room.

Yang Baek and the rest of freedom fighters joined Dong Jin in his basecamp in the woods. When one of the man who went with Dam Sari came, Mr.Yang asked about Dam Sari. They finally knew the sad and bad news. The next hardest thing was to tell Mok Dan. But Mok Dan was actually already there with KAng To. He immediately hugged her tight as she sobbed.

In Kishokai quarter, Ueno couldn’t take Shonji’s failure anymore. Situation got tense when Ueno’s man drew his sword on Shonji’s neck. Mr.Kimura begged for his son’s life, and Shonji also fought for his life. He told Ueno his next plan regarding catching Mr.Yang and he got his chance. Ueno let him live. After the meeting, Shonji was having a private conversation with Lara. “You’re an amazing man. You even dared to go against the Chairman. Now I’ve given up, so it’s better for you to do the same, too,” said Lara. She told Shonji about Mok Dan coming to her begging for a help to save Kang To from Shonji. She told him that she refused her, but understood how she was not only in love with Lee Kang To, but Gaksital as well. They shared their hardship together. But her, “I only love Lee Kang To,” she said. Then Shonji also let out his feelings of frustration. “What if at the end I can’t catch Yang Baek, Dong Jin or Gaksital? How am I going to live? Will I still be alive?”

Mr.Kimura, Murayama and a wealthy couple from their circle was discussing about something related to education matter. And then in another place, at a eating place in the town, the traitor girl was meeting her little brother who was a student who decided to run away from school as the situation turned bad even at school.
Lee Kang To’s face was spread all over the city as wanted, sort of. People still had bad sentiment for him, and the market guy came told them that Lee KAng To was not a bad guy. And then he met Mok Dan’s friend and the her little brother. The little boy’s face got many bruises. Something was not right at school, but they couldn’t do anything about it. And then he brought Mok Dan’s friend to Dong Jin camp too,so that she could reunite with Mok Dan.

Mr.Yang and Lee KAng To was discussing about Mok Dan and about Kang To’s feelings for Mok Dan. And it’s all related to their fighting spirit for this freedom movement.

At night Mok Dan was still weeping for her late father. Kang To was trying to cheer her up with his best words. He asked her not to cover her vulnerable side to him, and she didn’t. Mok Dan wept but Kang To gave her a soothing advise. “You can brace yourself, Pooni.” And then he hugged her tight.

Poor Abe was interrogated by Goiso. He was questioned for his loyalty to Japan. Goiso said that Abe must have known KAng To’s activity all this time. Abe swore he had no idea. He just knew that Kang To often went to the mountain. But the interrogation was interrupted as Goiso got a new news about Lee Kang To whereabout. And later on the police ambushed Gaksital’s shed when Baek Geon and Duk Su, the market man, were just going to leave it. And they managed to leave safely before the police broke in. Shonji saw all the newspaper cuts taped on the wall, the news were all related to Gaksital’s action all this time.

Kang To was having a private conversation with another freedom fighter something about Mr.Kimura. And then Baek Geon arrived and gave him the news about the shed ambush. Baek Geon said he would be closer to Kang To to protect him. But KAng To said this time he had to go alone.

Mr.Yang was having a tea and conversation with Mok Dan, trying to find out if she’s already fine with her father’s death. Mok Dan embraced herself well and Mr.Yang was proud of her.

The next day, Kang To told Mok Dan that he’s going to Kyeong Seong (Seoul) for awhile and promised to come back. Mok Dan, with a smile on her face said “Go well and then come back safely. You will come back for dinner right? I will make you your favorite food, so please come back.” KAng To promised her and told her not to worry and then kissed her forehead.

As Shonji had seen the newspapers cuts on the shed wall, he could see the map of Gaksital’s attack order. The next person to be Gaksital’s target was Kimura Taro himself. Shonji informed all this to his father and Mr.Kimura decided to face Gaksital in dignity (if it’s the right word for him).

Mr.Kimura sat in his house wearing black and put on a stern face. He was having his tea, but his sword was ready with him. And just like he had expected the sudden visit of an enemy, Gaksital sneak in to his house and Mr.Kimura was more than ready to face him. These two men had personal matter and when a moment like this finally came, they’re ready for their ultimate fight.

Dam Sari’s death is great loss for the characters in the drama, but not really for us. I mean, his character was born as a patriot, so he MUST die as one too, to honor him. The tense went so high in the previous episode but this one was a little calm down. Hope the fighting scene between Gaksital and Mr.Kimura would be as great as the one Gaksital had with Ueno’s man.

Anyway, hmmm is it possible that at the end, Shonji will develop a feelings for Chae Hong Joo aka Lara and vice versa?

Mr. Lee found his son dead and then wept. His wife was more frightened than sad. Shonji also witnessed this tragedy, felt sorry, but passed through Kishokai emergency meeting. Ueno was feeling humiliated, of course, but it’s like a wake up whipping for him and Kishokai was in an alert situation to catch Gaksital and also the freedom fighters.

Kang To brought the money they robbed from Kishokai to Dong Jin. Meanwhile Mok Dan was also ready to run away wit the help of the freedom fighters. But Shonji came in the right time. He saw them leaving, but the three of them managed to flee. They brought Mok Dan to Gaksital’s shed where Kang to and Baek Geon waited for her.
Mok Dan discussed her burden heart related to Shonji’s knowing of Kang To’s identity as Gaksital. Kang To also had known about it, but he still needed to play his part as colonian policeman. He told Mok Dan not to worry.

In the police office, seeing Kang To was coming, Shonji welcomed him with a series of beating. He asked Kang To where he was last night, but of course Kang To had his excuse. But Shonji didn’t let Kang To away that easy. He kept his eyes on Kang To very closely.

Shonji held a briefing discussing strategy to catch Yang Baek and Dong Jin. He provoked Kang To by asking him what he think Yang Baek and Dong Jin’s dream was. Kang To gave his argument and Shonji took that argument for now. The operation was started, but Jongno Police station was attacked by some mysterious men. The police highers were also holding an emergency meeting discussing their alert situation because the revolt didn’t only happen in Seoul, but also in many area in Korean peninsula.

Goiso followed Kang To into the tailor. KAng To came to the meeting of freedom fighter leaders. They’re distributing their jobdesc again for the next action. Goiso reported to Shonji right away after following Kang To.
Shonji made a sudden inspection to the tailor right away and interrogate the tailor about Kang To’s regular visit. Shonji caught the nervous eyes of the tailor, but thankfully he just left without inspecting the place any farther.

Ueno dragged Mr.Lee and his wife for Kishokai interrogation. It’s related to their son’s last letter which sounded nationalist as Joseon man. Ueno was furious and the Baron and Baroness had to begged for their lives. The price was Mr.Lee had to let go of their wealth, but at the end, they’re still cold bloodly executed in place.

Shonji decided to treat his team to have some fun in Angel Club. Everyone sat outside, but Kang To and Shonji were sitting in the private room with Madam (Tasha). She looked so distress with the death of Mr.Lee’s son. Kang To just heard about Mr.Lee’s son’s tragedy right there. Shonji also looked distressed and pretended to be drunk, saying, “Me too feeling of not wanting to live anymore. I can’t have Mok Dan. I feel like I don’t want to live.”

When Kang To saw Shonji was closing his eyes, Kang To immediately made a call to the basecamp and then left. Seeing Shonji was standing in an alert expression, Goiso and some policemen suddenly gathered and were ready for some counter-action of Gaksital. KAng To and the freedom fighters bought the policemen acting and immediately attack Jongno station to rob some ammunition. They really had no idea that Shonji and his men were back. After they’re moving the ammunition, Gaksital let them go first and fought the policemen alone. Unfortunately, Shonji pointed him a gun and Kang To couldn’t do anything about.So it wasn’t only Shonji who saw he’s Gaksital, most of his co-workers also saw it.

They dragged him into the interrogation dungeon. Goiso was probably the second happiest man to be able to catch Gaksital aka Kang To after Shonji. He whipped Kang To hard and it’s just the beginning.

The rest of freedom fighters who managed to flee reported the situation to Mok Dan, Dam SAri and Yang BAek.

Back to the interrogation process. So here we are at last. Shonji was interrogating his ex-best mate. “You know that Genji killed my mother and my brother,” said Kang To. “So you killed my brother?” asked Shonji. “In front of my eyes, the person who killed my own brother was my own friend. So it’s like that?” “Yes, but my brother who had been living in a disguise as an idiot was the person I was crazily wanted to catch, Gaksital. My mother was dead in order to save my brother. I’m thankful that you finally catch me. I can’t see any other way to die, but to die in your hand.” Shonji was shaken. He left the room and looked very pale coming back to his office. He recalled the memory of the moment they both cried together on the bike, and Shonji also shed some tears because of that.

Lara got a visitor: Mok Dan. “I came because I have a favour to ask,” said Mok Dan. She told Lara to help Lee KAng To who was arrested by Shonji. But Lara just said sorry and told her to leave. She said she’s no longer involved in this matter. Mok Dan dropped on her knees, begging her literally.

The next day, Shonji reported his catching to his father, Murayama and the other police highers. The Kimuras and Murayama came down to the dungeon to see Kang To. Mr.Kimura had a personal revenge for his beloved son’s death. Shonji was trying to save KAng To from the deathly spiky box, but Mr.Kimura had given his order. Shonji asked Kang To about Yang Baek and Dong Jin, but Kang To’s mouth shut didn’t do him any good. They tortured him so bad. Kang To didn’t say any word about Yang Baek and Dong Jin, but Shonji knew Kang TO well. He brought the tailor for interrogation in front of Kang To and tortured that man as well.

In the hiding, freedom fighters knew their situation was in dangerous and they need a new strategy. They discussed about the plan to save Gaksital.

Later that night some freedom fighters, under the leading of two freedom fighter couple who attacked Kishokai with Gaksital the other night, broke into Jongno station. They broke into the dungeon to save Kang To. Shonji, who was actually there, tried to fight them all, but he’s outnumbered. They managed to bring Gaksital away.

OMG, i think this episode is superb! The fighting scene between Gaksital and Ueno’s man was so cool, just like seeing Jacky Chan or Jet Lee’s fight, especially the part where they’re fighting with bare hands. And then the fact that we finally see Shonji and Kang To was facing one another as arch-villain instead of best friend…oh no. The torture scene was also great. Joo Won portrayed the pain so well. Oh I just love this episode.

In the interrogation room, Kang To beat up the freedom fighter caught by Shonji. Kang To demanded him to tell him the bastards who killed his mother and brother, or if he himself involved. He also asked about Dong Jin where about. The freedom fighter shut his mouth closely and pledged no matter what he’d never speak.

Kang To dismissed another policeman from the room. Then he showed a piece of paper with the word “unity” to the freedom fighter who instantly recognized as the same thing Gaksital showed him. Kang To said that thanks to him he could show this note to Dong Jin and then he shared a strategy with that guy to deal with Shonji. Realizing that Kang To was alone in the room, Shonji rushed to the interrogation room, suspicious on KAng To. But when he got there, he found only Kang To was cornering the man and forced him to speak.

As the situation was getting chaotic, the police highers were holding a serious meeting discussing about the freedom fighters movement. Meanwhile the freedom fighter leaders were also holding a meeting about sharing responsibility in the movement. Mok Dan of course, offered her part along with the rest of circus members.

Mr.Lee got something like an award or sort of. It seemed to relate to his airplane business, but not really sure, but his business was a big contribution for Japanese and colonial government. Anyway they held a small ceremony, and later on were holding a private dinner with the police chief and another couple.

Shonji moved the freedom fighter man into the interrogation dungeon and he tortured that poor man so badly using hot iron. The man finally gave Shonji some clues, including the fact that Dong Jin and Yang Baek was meeting each other and formed a join force.

The father and son Kimura visited Ueno to make a report and discussing the next strategy. Before leaving, Shonji had a private conversation with Chae Hong Joo aka Lara. He’s kind of pittying Lara for her love for Kang To that caused her to cover up Kang To’s identity as Gaksital. “Do you think he can protect you? If you’re thinking of running away but had no idea where, just come to me,” said Shonji.

The freedom fighters were in Dong Jin’s camp were more than ready for the battle field. And then Gaksital visited the camp to hand Dong Jin a letter from Yang Baek. They’re also discussing about the perfect timing for Dong Jin’s troops to attack to the city. KAng To informed Dong Jin about the timing that Dong Jin’s troop could make their movement. And Gaksital was trusted to lead them in this attack plan.

Kang To delivered a package that’s so called from the mother of the freedom fighter man in prison. Inside the food was a note and after that man read it, he ate the note together with the food. Shonji was still trying to make that man speak about Dong Jin’s plan that he even gave that man a nice meal. The man spoke and made a request to him in return, “please tell Kang To that I didn’t kill his mother.”

Shonji was still getting information about Kang To’s every move from his man. He asked what KAng To did when he’s not around. That police officer told Shonji that he’s meeting Mok Dan, but he couldn’t tail him well. Then Shonji summoned the informant girl from the circus. Shonji asked her if Mok Dan and Kang To recently meet often. She said no and Shonji was furious that she lied to him. He drowned that girl assuming that she had wavered to support the freedom fighters instead, but Shonji let her go with a serious warning.

Back to the inn, the girl kept crying and Mok Dan worried about her. She said she’s so scared to death. She confessed to Mok Dan that the reason she did what she did was because of money, but now everything turned bad and she’s so scared. Mok Dan went to the police office to speak with Shonji. Kang To was surprised by Mok Dan’s sudden visit and looked worry about it. She asked him to leave other people alone and just deal with her only. But she ensure him that she wouldn’t go to his side ever. Shonji was offended and made a warning to her. This warning made Mok Dan realize that Shonji had known KAng To’s identity as Gaksital.

Mr.Lee’s son, Lee Kam Dok, asked to madam if her love for him was a fake. She said she needed him. “Need…you mean to find out my father’s schedule?” Thne Lee asked why she said he’s someone not to worry about, the other. For madam, that man was an indifferent and he wasn’t the type of person who would report this kind of thing to the police.

The time for action was near, they’re making a movement that night. The freedom fighters were ready with their strategy. And the freedom fighter man was sharing Shonji the knowledge he knew about this action. So the faith between Lee Kang To/Gaksital  and Shonji would be determined that night, whether it’d be Shonji or KAng To/Gaksital that would found their victory.

In another place, the Kishokai was welcoming a new young member: Mr. Lee’s son. But surprisingly, after the dinner, Mr. Lee got a farewell letter from his son. Mr. Lee’s son shot himself on the head. this guy seemed to be secretly depress about his position. He’s a Joseon man, but he’s father was one of the great Joseon’s jerks.

And then Gaksital showed up at the Kishokai quarter. He and another freedom fighter attacked that place. The fighter was in one and one fight with Lara’s bodyguard, while Gaksital was facing his arch-villain in battle field: Ueno’s right hand man.

Mr. Lee’s son, Lee Kam Dok’s death was another surprise. Too bad it’s not that significant with the main characters. But hopefully good-man-die-fast scenario would stop just here. And Gaksital’s fight with Ueno’s man? Better be an epic.

Mok Dan worried that noone called her yet to tell the progress. The Circus Director managed to calm her down. And then the least guest came to visit her: Chae Hong Joo aka Lara. She handed her two passport, some money, tickets and told her to flee to US. “What’s this all about?” asked Mok Dan, not letting herself off guard. “Leave Joseon with Lee Kang To,” said Lara. “What are you talking about?” asked Mok Dan. Then Lara confessed to Mok Dan that despites the facts that happened, she loved Lee KAng To, the Joseon man who had touched her heart and she couldn’t forget. Mok Dan responded her coldly. Lara was disappointed. Mok Dan said she understood Lara’s sincere feelings, but she just told her to leave. Lara was very desperate. She took back all those stuffs and went off.

Shonji visited Ueno, making a report. “Gaksital is Lee KAng To,” Shonji said. This finding put Lara in a hard position. They could sense that Lara, who had had a feeling to Lee Kang To since the incident years ago, might have known this. Shonji then told Ueno the reason why he kept Gaksital alive was because they still needed him to catch Yang Baek. Interrogating the freedom fighters wouldn’t work, so this was their best option.

Mok Dan was rush to the hospital. Shonji who was surveiling the hospital, looked at her in agony. Kang To was hospitalized there. The freedom fighter who looked after Kang To before Mok Dan came was tailed by Shonji, but he managed to flee.

In a hidden place somewhere deep in Angel Club, they treated the injured reporter. That moment, Shonji came to give himself a break. Everyone was very nervous, but tried to be as relax as possible. Thankfully Mr. Lee’s son came down too, so the tense was lessened. But unfortunately,that man pissed off Shonji that he even pointed his gun to Lee. But this incident was good for those who’re in hiding because Shonji finally left. Madam told the freedom fighters that they’re save and could leave. She told them that Mr.Lee’s son was not someone to be worried about.

Kang To gained his consciousness, but his memory didn’t go further than the moment he fought with Ueno’s man. Mok Dan told him about Lara’s visit and her proposal. She worried that Lara’s knowing his identity was a danger. But Kang To told her his and Lara’s history and tried to lessen her worry by telling her that Lara was actually a Joseon person.

Ueno interrogated Lara regarding her intention to recruit Kang To as Kishokai. Lara said it’s her own idea. Both right hand men were tense. Ueno told her about the finding that KAng To was Gaksital, but Lara made her excuse.

The freedom fighter man and reporter were visiting Dong Jin in his hiding. They’re ready when they found the moment, which seemed to be soon.

Shonji found a hard time reporting to Murayama. But he told Murayama his grand plan through Lee KAng To. Getting back to his room, he asked Goiso if Kang To was still absent. He pretended as if everything was still the same. And then KAng To showed up in his office, telling Shonji his excuse. Shonji was playing game just like Kang To did to him when they’re discussing about Gaksital. Then on morning briefing, Shonji put on a show that he against Murayama to defend Lee KAng To. Murayama played along well.

The colonial police highers were holding a meeting about their plan to Joseon. Then the small group of Kishokai also held a meeting, but Mrs.Lee ruined the mood when she offended Murayama with his failure catching Gaksital. Meanwhile the small group freedom fighter leaders also held a meeting about their plan.
Shonji was sharing his plan to Kang To about how to catch the three main villains: Dam Sari, Yang Baek and Gaksital. Those three somehow related to Mok Dan, like it or not. Shonji went to the inn to meet Mok Dan immediately. Mok Dan had gotten the warning from Kang To. Mok Dan’s reception to Shonji was cold as usual and Shonji convinced himself that Mok Dan was the key to his goal. “Should I catch him? Your old time Young Master? I want to see what kind of man he is,” said Shonji. “Do you think I will accept you by you doing this?” said Mok Dan. “I won’t give up on you even if I die,” said Shonji before leaving.

When Mok Dan was meeting Kang Ton on the tram, she lied to him when Kang To asked her what Shonji wanted from her. She just said he was asking about her father. Getting off the tram KAng To sensed someone was tailing him. He managed to go away and then went to the leaders’ base camp.

Yang Baek finally reunite with Dong Jin. The younger man gave a deep official bow to his senior. The moment was another big step for them. Meanwhile Kishokai was also ready for the big war against the freedom fighters.

Then the freedom fighter leaders discussed a more detail movement with Dong Jin joined them. He’s ready with his secret army. Kang To also shared his idea.
The next day, Shonji was surprised that when the police office got a report on the attack of Gaksital somewhere, Lee Kang To was there holding a bucket and a mop. Shonji tried to figure it out, but then asked Kang To to come along. Another Gaksital was making a scene.

On the scene, Shonji ordered KAng To to go down and catch Gaksital. The policemen were fighting him and Kang To was caught in a one on one fight with Gaksital. And then in front of Shonji’s eyes, Gaksital knocked down Kang To and then left.

I think now I can see a positive hope of a happy ending…

But Shonji didn’t lose any curiousity about the possibility that Kang To was Gaksital. He asked Goiso to take Kang To for Gaksital case. He needed Kang To to let him off his guard.

Then Kang To visited the new base camp of freedom fighter. He met Dam Sari again there. Dam Sari introduced Kang To to the other freedom fighters, especially Mr. Yang Baek. KAng To was giving him the official bow, and Mr.Yang was more than proud to accept it and even said thanks to Kang To for what he had done. He treated KAng To a tea and gave him a potato. It’s probably just a potato, but for Kang To the taste just brought him to the memory of his hard-but-happy life with his late mother and brother. He was crying while eating the potato.

Meanwhile in the club, Mr.Lee’s son was drinking in frustration because even the club madam wasn’t around anymore. She’s more active in the freedom fighter movement.

The freedom fighters were having a meeting to discuss their next plan. Meanwhile Shonji was torturing the reporter who published the news about what happened on the parade the other day.Unfortunately when Shonji took off that reporter’s shirt, he found a secret letter hidden beneath the cloth. They use codes for communication, addressing Yang Baek as “Grandfather” and another man called Dong Jin as “Uncle”. The colonial police found out the plan of the important meeting between the two, they just didn’t know when and where. That subject was what the freedom fighters were discussing in that meeting. Kang To of course took part in the plan.

Kang To search for Dong Jin profile at the police office. Shonji watched him closely and checked on what KAng To had checked. He was pretty sure that Lee Kang To was working for Yang Baek and it’s almost certain that he’s Gaksital.

The son of Kyeong Seong Newspaper owner visited Ueno and kind of begged that man to let him be involved in Kishokai because he hated Gaksital so much for what he had done to his father. Ueno granted him.

Shonji came to Hong Joo to confirm one thing, “Lee KAng To is Gaksital, right?” Hong Joo mocked him for threatening a girl for this matter. She said she had checked on Kang To but he’s clear, he could ask Gisaeng Masako about how she checked him. Shonji was confused, considering that Chae Hong Joo was almost impossible to betray Kishokai to cover up Lee Kang To.

Kang To was discussing with Baek Geon the best way to be able to meet Dong Jin.

Shonji ordered Goiso to summon the spy of Mok Dan. That girl was with her friend and the circus man washing and speaking cheerfully about what happened at the parade. Mok Dan wondered who drew Taegukgi so well and her friend said the men called Dong jin followers, sort of. Suddenly Kang To came to ask for a private conversation with Mok Dan. He’s discussing about the way to meet this man Mr.Dong Jin which he thought was very hard because of lack of information. Mok Dan remembered that her friend was talking about Dong Jin’s follower.

Shonji was digging information from the spy girl about Mok Dan’s current activity. She told him that just few moments ago Lee Kang To came to visit her. Then Shonji ordered her to watch Mok Dan more closely, specifically to find out when and where everytime Lee Kang To visited Mok dan.

In the market, Mok Dan finally realized that she’d been followed by a familiar face. She ran after her. When she managed to catch her, she tried to tell her that she shouldn’t work for Shonji, but that traitor girl wasn’t interested to listen to Mok Dan’s lecture. After the girl left, Mok Dan went back to her friend who had found the Dong Jin follower. He’s the familiar man from the market. Mok Dan immediately informed Kang To.

After discussing with Mr.Yang, Dam Sari and other freedom fighters, Kang To was meeting Dong Jin in Gaksital identity. He met the informant at the appointed place Mok Dan had told him. That man was so excited meeting Gaksital and he finally brought Gaksital to the hidden place up in the mountain where this Dong Jin man lived.

Dong Jin had been setting up a training camp where freedom fighters got a training on martial arts and prepare for the war that soon to come. Gaksital confirmed that man’s face with the photograph he had in his hand. Gaksital spoke to Dong Jin about the plan for him to meet Mr. Yang Baek.

The police was also in alert situation dealing with Yang Baek case. Shonji was determined to get a full success in this mission. He knew that from tomorrow, Kang To’s life would be much harder.

Goiso was moving the reporter to another station when suddenly Gaksital came in the middle of the way and caused a scene. Unfortunately, Ueno’s man showed up and fought hard with Gaksital. He managed to injure Gaksital. Gaksital managed to go from the scene, but he passed out on the way. Shonji approached the unconscious Gaksital. He didn’t waste anytime to take off Gaksital’s mask. There he finally got his answer about Gaksital’s identity.

OMG we’re finally here. We knew that sooner or later this moment would come, but I still felt the tense as it happened. I cannot imagine how Shonji will deal with it. I mean, he had sensed that Kang To and Gaksital might be the same person…but no matter how much he hated Gaksital, when this moment finally came to him, Lee Kang To was still his best friend for a long time, so he must face the dilemma too. I think even though it’s so small, but still deep in his heart he still cared for Kang To. He should’ve understood why Kang To did all this. Oooh, I’m afraid it’s gonna get uglier next week. Worse is when someone should die at the end…
