The 2011 SBS drama Award was held on December 31st. Feels incomplete if I do not write a review about the red carpet event. Well, actually this is not my favorite red carpet, even though i like almost the  actors and actresses who came to that event like Lee Dong Wook, Choi Kang Hee, Lee Yo Won, Kim Sun Ah, Lee Min Ho, Ji Sung, and more. But seeing a bunch of actresses wearing the same pastel and plain dresses made me bored.

Im Soo Hyang, pretty but this is what I call a boring gown, she looked pale. I still do not understand the meaning of black ribbon on his left shoulder. But she’s still  lucky that she was helped by her clutch.

Jang Hyuk, and Ji Chang Wook, the senior was wearing bow tie and the junior was wearing the usual tie, but both looked neat and dashing.

Our host, Ji Sung and Choi Kang Hee, looked so cute together. The design of Choi Kang Hee’s dress made their appearance lighter and fresh. I love Ji Sung’s hair color and Choi Kang Hee’s short hair, and i want her shoes.

Lee Dong Wook, even wearing a tuxedo he looked cozy and relaxed, didn’t stiff at all, maybe because his messy hair style and his beard.

Jin Se Yeon, she knew that the gown was t simple, she wearing the set of beautiful jewelry to cover it.

Jin Tae Hyun and Jung Kyung Hoon, with the almost identical hair style, the same bow tie and the same smile, these ajeossi, didn’t like risky fashion, so they are safe.

Jung Yoo Mi, still on pastel and khakies toned, plain.

Kim Jae Joong, almost perfect except his hair, the color and the style really hurting my eyes.

Kim Jung Min, maybe because of her job as red carpet’s reporter she decided to wearing the dress that are not too flashy. Actually the color was too pale for her.

Kim Rae Won, i just realized that you’re getting old ajeossi.

Kim Sun Ah, okay i admit that it was the best gown that night and frankly the best partner beside you. I love the color, love the design, and love how she was wearing it.

Lee Mi Sook, the gorgeous backless gown, and the hairstyle, rock on ajeomma!

Lee Min Ho, actually i almost didn’t recognize him, maybe because od his new hair cut and he’s cute with those fat cheeks.

Lee So Yeon, no more comment about black gown on red carpet, it’s the safest way.

Lee Yo Won, oh eonnie, why were you wearing the ajeomma’s dress? Thats made you look older.

Seo Hyo Rim, she pulled her hair back, because she knew that what made her gown look sexy.

Seo Woo, noooooooooo, it’s wasn’t dress actually. I feel pity for her, she needed a personal fashion advisor, but first she had to kill the person who suggested her to wear that thing.

Shin Hyun Bin, looked hot with red gown, but with that ribbon, this gown at some point reminded me about a Christmas gift that forgot to open.

Shin Se Kyung, pretty gown but actually no need any ornament. She looked gorgeous with that soft color.

Sung Hoon, the highly risk on fashion, high appreciation for his red velvet tuxedo.

Wang Ji Hye, on goddess-like gown she looked so stunning.

Yoon So Yi, with simple black dress and simple hairstyle she looked flawless. And i want her unique bangle.

The Winners From 2011 SBS Drama Awards https://kdramachoa.com/the-winners-from-2011-sbs-drama-awards/ https://kdramachoa.com/the-winners-from-2011-sbs-drama-awards/#comments Mon, 02 Jan 2012 09:35:23 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=16354

I know that i’m late posting this article, but please forgive me, actually it’s still holiday for me. ;)

Like other giant broadcasters, MBC and KBS, SBS, in the same time with KBS, on December 31th also held the 2011 Drama  Awards. So, to be fair, I decided to make a report of that event, too.

The Boss and the secretary from “Protect The Boss”, Ji Sung and Choi Kang Hee, trusted to be the host for that event and they did their job very well, looked fresh, entertaining, and looked good together.

Frankly, I think there’s no competition that night, because SBS was really generous,  almost the whole actors and actress got the awards with so many categories which confused me. Everyone got a candy. Maybe this is just  SBS’s way to celebrate the closing year alongside their actors and actresses. And indeed,  so many actors and actresses came to that event, they are, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Sun Ah,  Lee Yo Won, Jang Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung, Song Joong Ki, Seo Hyo Rim, Wang Ji Hye, Jae Joong, Kim Rae Won, and more.

For the MC, Choi Kang Hee and Ji Sung, also grabbed so many awards due to their acting on “Protect The Boss” . And I love their chemistry together in here and in drama. They also deserved to get Best Couple Award, the right choice, because we need the cute and comical couple like them.

That night absolutely belonged to the historical drama “Tree With Deep Roots.” Almost the all main casts from that drama gained the award and  the drama also got the Top Excellence Drama Award. Butt the happiest actor was Han Suk Gyu who plays as King Sejong, honored with the grand prize, Daesang Award.

On his speech after saying deeply thankful for his parents who have given everything for him, he also said thank for the people who were involved in the filming production. First the scriptwriter, second the crew/officials, and the last was the audience (the fans), the drama can be successful because of them. Protect The Boss Episode 18 Summary (Final) https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-18-summary-final/ https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-18-summary-final/#comments Thu, 20 Oct 2011 06:47:06 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=14275

What Ji Heon just did was causing another chaotic situation in the company.
But he took Eun Seol for an escape. He tried to fix his relationship with her.
Eun Seol said he should say it all wasn’t true about her as the informant and now still dating him.
“I WAS dating you. It should be in the past tense.”
Ji Heon had Moo Won to take care of the problem in the office, so he had nothing to worry about…even facing Eun Seol.
“I didn’t say anything wrong, nor a lie. Unless you reveal who’s the real informant, no one will believe you. So just say it’s true that you’re the informant, don’t you think it’s cool? And for our dating…I never stop dating you, even for once. We ARE dating, but now we’re pretending that we are not dating.”

Meanwhile back in the office, everyone of course suspected Madam Shin as the person behind the chaotic to make Ji Heon’s image turned bad again because she’s after the permanent position as Chairman.
Moo Won warned her and yes it happened.
Whe she held the board meeting to discuss the matter, Chairman Cha burst in and assumed it’s her doing right away.
Even the grandmother thought it was her too and that made her called Madam Shin angryly and told her to step down the chairman position right away.

Madam Shin was mad and accused MAdam Hwang who was behind it all because she wanted to get a revenge because MAdam Shin broke up their friendship at first.
The two madams ended up having a girls’ fight of pulling each other’s hair.
This scene was hillarious that I didn’t even see it coming. I have to give the writer and director a two thumbs up for this idea of having two old ladies pulling each other’s hair.
thankfully Na Yoon came and called Moo Won.

Moo Won sending his crying mother home and told her to get some sleep right away to save her skin.
“Aren’t you going in too?”
“There’s another lady who’s crying other than you, mom.”
“I told you that you cannot be with Na Yoon!”

But Moo Won went consoling Na Yoon. He told her not to worry because her mother said she’d prefer death other than, letting her marry Moo Won.
Moo Won continued, “You said even during the time of war there was love. And we’re in the middle of that kind of war and we can still continue doing what we’ve always done.”

Chairman Cha summoned both Ji Heon and Eun Seol home.
He scolded Ji Heon for not keeping his promise. Ji Heon said he did, but it went just as far as getting back to the headquarter office, not to be the Chairman.
“Is it because of Noh Eun Seol? Did she ask you to give up everything?”
“No. And I was the one chasing her because she was mad at me.”
“So you’re chasing a girl who doesn’t like you?”
“No, Chairman, I like him,” Eun Seol made a surprising confession. “And I did tell him to do whatever he wants, that’s probably why he consider to do this.”
Then Chairman kicked them both out of his house.

They went to Eun Seol’s place and that made the tired-of-your-pretense,-Eun Seol-and-Ji Heon! Myeong Ran to sleep at Na Yoon’s place.
Na Yoon and Moo Won was being romantic.
She asked him to sing her a lullaby.. He was in the middle of his singing when he suddenly read another shocking news on the internet.

But that night there’s an update news about Eun Seol’s past.
The news were getting nasty, talking about Eun Seol being school’s punk, trouble maker and even saying that she act like a gangster in the office bullying the other collegues.
From all the news, only one thing that made Ji Heon disappointed on her: her high-school’s hairstyle. :D
So that night Ji Heon slept over at Eun Seol’s place.

The next day Ji Heon had to face the board director.
They asked him to step down his position. But it’s not that bad because Ji Heon remained the biggest stakeholder. And most of all, he’s happy.

But it’s kind of making Eun Seol as the company’s biggest enemy.
Everyone couldn’t help staring Eun Seol and gossiping about her.
Even Na Yoon had to step forward facing a couple of secretaries who were staring at and speaking bad about Eun Seol.
The war seemed to be tiring for the girls, and that inspired her, “I think we need to go on vacation together this weekend.”

They went for a double date that weekend. It’s so fun watching the pairs hanging out together, leaving all the burdens behind for awhile.
They went cycling, taking funny pictures, and having nice dinner together.

This time it was Madam Hwang and Madam Shin’s turn to be on the spotlight.
Someone leak the DN Group’s slush fund information to the press, but this time Madam Hwang was dragged along because the slush fund was related to her gallery business.

The leak was none other than Manager Park. He did that to ask forgiveness from the Chairman.

Chairman Cha was busy with his community service, but Eun Seol came right after Manager Park.
She also begged for forgiveness and asked for his blessing for her relationship with Ji Heon.
Chairman Cha kept saying no and sending her away, but it wasn’t Noh Eun Seol if she gave up easily.
She tried many ways to get Chairman Cha’s approval.

The two madams were also doing community service. Na Yoon was sticking at them asking for approval for her relationship with Moo Won.
It’s funny that one minute she’s saying “I will treat Moo Won nicely” to Madam Shin and another minute saying, “Moo Won is a good man, mother,” to MAdam Hwang.

Meanwhile Ji Heon was trying his best to beg for approval from Eun Seol’s father.
He’s having a hard time with Mr. Noh. Eun Seol came to help him begging.
At first she did it in a cool way that she challenged her father for a battle, but then…she ended up whining like a little girl “Daddyyyyy…”

Na Yoon was struggling when Moo Won said he’d come over.
She had to clean up her messy place and then tried to cook some food, but she ended up making another mess in the kitchen.
Moo Won came and saw what happen in the kitchen. It was so heart-melting when hearing the comment coming out his mouth was, “Did you hurt yourself?”
The innocent Na Yoon just startled and said no. “It’s fine, then,” said Moo Won.
Then he showed off his secret hobby to his girlfriend: cooking.
It was quite a jaw dropping scene :D.

I think the two couples are very interesting. In Ji Heon-Eun Seol side, it was more likely to say that Ji Heon was the one who gets so lucky to have Eun Seol.
This woman changed his life in a very positive way. And above all, she was a superhero woman.
In Na Yoon-Moo Won side, of course it was Na Yoon who gets so lucky to have an almost perfect man like Moo Neu Nim.
He’s unquestionably handsome, wealthy, smart, built body, and voila! he’s also good in cooking!
God, if only there’re more Moo-Won-like men out there, please bring them to us… :D

Ji Heon had a serious father and son conversation with Chairman Cha. He asked like an adult to his father to give him a permission to marry Eun Seol.
He gave some time for his father to think everything over, saying that he would only lose to his son at the end eventually.
Chairman Cha had a thought, and at the end he finally gave his blessing.
It was a touching moment when Ji Heon hugged his father tightly and Chairman Cha hugged him back.
“Thank you, father.”

Ji Heon had a romanctic dinner with Eun Seol, planning to propose her.
Eun Seol right guessed it and it upset Ji Heon, but he proceed on his plan.
He made the 3 times combo of saying “I love you, Noh Eun Seol” : the tea cup, the nut and the dooly doll.

But it didn’t end there. Ji Heon sang her a song to express his love to her.
The proposal went right after he sang.

“Noh Eun Seol, when we marry, let’s do it for love.”
And then there went the rings and Ji Heon asked for the answer.
“Isn’t it enough?” Eun Seol got up, kissed Ji Heon and then hugged him.
“It’s more than enough,” said Ji Heon.

And then the wedding day came.
A pickpocket was making a scene by grabbing Na Yoon’s purse.
But Eun Seol stopped the pickpocket by kicking a soda can towards him. Her biggest concern was their wedding rings.
It turned out that the wedding rings were no where to be found because Na Yoon forgot to bring them.

They held a simple but beautiful wedding ceremony.

Eun Seol narrated: “What will tomorrow look like for us?”
Then we could see the progress of Manager Jang’s blind date that would probably work out at last.

Ji Heon narrated: “Some of us will face an unexpected event.”
We could see Manager Park’s life after DN Group. He ran a small but successful bakery.
And the part-timer boy looked fine with his life.
“Some others will leave their destructive lives.”

Myeong Ran was going abroad for a wrestling championship. She avoid Na Yoon and Eun Seol following her to the airport because it was going to be very hard for her.
So she just had Secretary Kim to drive her there.

The two madams are still good friends and planning for being greddy by discussing the way to make Moo Won as the Chairman.
Meanwhile the grandmother enjoyed her life like she always had.
And finally Chairman Cha was back to the office as the company’s chairman.

All those happiness pictures walked along Ji Heon and Eun Seol walking on the altar.
They finally took their vows, but they had to subtitute their wedding rings with a decorative small wires…thanks to Na Yoon.

Ji Heon ran a happy successful life outside DN Group. He had been giving lectures in universities about how to be a good manager.
In a TV interview he said that the key was to find a good person to love. This way some one would think to do the best to make his/her partner love what he/she does and wont be embarassed by his/her wrongdoings in business.
He added, “I was so lucky to have met such a great person.”

Meanwhile Na Yoon and Moo Won are joyful as always.
It’s so funny when Na Yoon asked Moo Won when they’re getting married. “I’ve grown up a lot,” she said.
But then Moo Won set a certain height for Na Yoon’s height to meet that requirement to let them get married.
This couple is so funny.

And Eun Seol and Ji Heon finally wrap up their story with a beautiful ending.

Oooohhh I’m gonna miss this drama. Surely i’m going to get the dvd when they come out.
Thank you for following this summary.
I’ll see you again soon in the next project ;)

Protect The Boss Episode 17 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-17-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-17-summary/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2011 11:15:10 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=14149

After hearing the horn Ji Heon ran back to Eun Seol. “You’re not okay, aren’t you?” asked Ji Heon opening the door.
She’s trying to flee, but Ji Heon managed to persuade her to got off the truck to argue.
Ji Heon said that he regretted it all, about their break up, that he couldn’t get her out of his mind.
Eun Seol was still defending herself at first, saying that she’s okay, but finally exploded.
“Do you know how I really feel this whole time? I don’t really know how it felt when the convicts were exiled during the Joseon dynasty, but I’m feeling like them. I’m upset and scared.”
Ji Heon then hugged her and said sorry.

Ji Heon decided to help Eun Seol with her work that day.
When they finally had time to really sit down and talk calmly, Ji Heon told her that he wouldn’t give up on her.
He also said that he would take her back into the office.
Eun Seol said that she hadn’t agreed on anything yet.
Ji Heon said, “You will soon open up (your heart).”

Secreatry Jang called Eun Seol to ask for Ji Heon. He’s telling him about Chairman Cha, so Ji Heon had to leave.
“Let’s meet again here in the next 3 hours. I’ll be waiting for you,” said Ji Heon.

Meanwhile Eun Seol decided to visit Myeong Ran and Na Yoon.

Chairman Cha was actually suffered from a tumor, but it’s not a cancer yet. Ji Heon got the explanation from the doctor.
When Ji Heon met his dad he got scolded for meeting Eun Seol again at this state.
He was forbidden to meet Eun Seol for the same reason as the first time Chairman Cha told him.
But this time is getting tougher because Moo Won was taking his place and his father thought the he might not be able to rest in peace if Ji Heon couldn’t get his position back.

Eun Seol waited for Ji Heon for along time. And when he thought that he wouldn’t show up, Ji Heon finally came.
Eun Seol was upset and about to leave when Ji Heon held her and said, “Please wait for me a little more time.”
He didn’t told her what’s really going on, but he said that he had to be a good son first, so he’d return to her soon after that.
Eun Seol avoid his hugging, but Ji Heon was too sad to let Eun Seol go just like that.

Each of them run their separate lives eventually.
Eun Seol said she wouldn’t be waiting, but ended up counting the days that turn into weeks then months of the time she’s waiting for him.
But Ji Heon never showed up, not even a call.
Eun Seol was too desparate that she halucinating Ji Heon was finally there.
She beat him down by hitting and kicking…but that’s all just her imagination.
Eun Seol finally decided to move on. She quit her job and quit waiting for Ji Heon.
Meanwhile Ji Heon had been working hard as the Smart (one of the subsidiary company of DN Group) CEO.

Cha Moo Won drown himself to his works as MAnaging Director. He stayed 3 hours overtime everyday.
Na Yoon demanding his time and his confirmation of what she’s for him, but Moo Won was crazily busy…and just couldn’t put his feelings into words.

Manager Park begged for Madam Hwang to save him and gave him a much better job.
But Madam Hwang dumped him.

Then Na Yoon came to meet her. MAdam Hwang told her to stop meeting Moo Won since her realtionship with Madam Shin is breaking up.
She told Na Yoon to start blind dating with Madam Hwang’s reference, and surprisingly Na Yoon just agreed.

Na Yoon cry out like a baby with her friends. She had Eun Seol and Myeong Ran slept over.
She asked Eun Seol if she had to stop caring for Moo Won, Eun Seol said no.
And then she asked if she had stopped caring for Ji Heon, She also said no.

The next day Eun Seol got a phone call from someone who said wanted to scout her.
Eun Seol was suspecting the lady was fraud by “someone” to give her a job.
The lady said that she knew Eun Seol was Cha Ji Heon’s secretary from DN Group.
He was an infamous back then but she managed to put up with him, that’s her reason.
Then she brought her into her office, which was actually DN Group’s department store.
Eun Seol guessed it was Moo Won’s work, but the woman said it was not.
Eun Seol didn’t see it coming when it turned out to be Cha Ji Heon in front of her.

Eun Seol was very angry and tried to use violance like she always imagined.
But this time, the real Ji Heon managed to avoid her every violance attempt on him.
He said he was sorry for making her waiting too long.
Eun Seol then coldly said he was too late that she had closed her door for him.

Ji Heon tried to catch up Eun Seol. He finally told her that his father was sick and he had promised him not to get in touch with her.
That’s why he never called, even when he missed her alot. He said that he could only watched her from afar without her notice.
So part of Eun Seol’s imagination was not really imagination.
Eun Seol asked if the Chairman was fine. Ji Heon said yes.
Then Eun Seol coldly said, “You’re coming back too late. I don’t care about you anymore.”

Chairman Cha had been doing well. To pay his gratitude, he checked on his “before I die” to do list and started to make some actions.
He was planning to get Secretary Jang remarried. And he also wanted to be a good son by getting his mom a boyfriend.

Madam Shin told Moo Won that Na Yoon was having a blind date just then.
Moo Won hurriedly went to where Na Yoon was meeting the man.

Na Yoon’s blind date was a weird man. He dressed up like a punk, but surely he’s a chaebol…a weird chaebol.
This man was obnoxious and Na Yoon just couldn’t stand him, so she decided to go.
The man chased her, but Moo Won showed up just in the right time.

Na Yoon was upset because she couldn’t get what Moo Won’s thinking.
Did he really like her or not?
With that trademark smirk on his face, Moo Won said, “Why do you keep blaming me? Am I seeing another woman?”
Na Yoon said no.
“Have I done a blind dating?”
Na Yoon said no again.
“I told you I was very busy. And when I told you so, you begged me to meet, did I spare my busy time to go down meeting you?”
Na Yoon said yes.
“Is there something wrong with your brain or something? Why you still don’t get it?”

Ji Heon didn’t give up on Eun Seol. He came to Eun Seol’s part-time job and bought all chiken worth Eun Seol’s 5 hours working time to persuade Eun Seol to come back working as his secretary.
But Eun Seol stayed in her first decision.
That made Ji Heon stop? of course not. He followed Eun Seol everywhere she got a job interview.

Ji Heon talked to his father to bargain about having Eun Seol as his secretary again.
Chairman Cha went against it at first, but Ji Heon made a good point when he said “I would just stop working then.”
His father finally let him take Eun Seol back, with two conditions: he had to beat Moo Won and helped his dad got his position back.
“But Noh Eun Seol as your secretary, nothing more.”
Ji Heon smiled saying, “We’ll see.”

Eun Seol finally agreed to get back her old job as Ji Heon’s secretary.
They’re setting up boundaries where personal feelings shouldn’t be involved.
Ji Heon agreed.

Eun Seol was welcomed by her fellow secretaries and also Moo Won.
She started her day just like the old days when she had to clean her boss’ room every morning and prepared him his breakfast.
Ji Heon praised her as upgraded. “But it’s not only your hardware that needed to be upgraded, but also your software.”
“Pardon me?” asked Eun Seol.
Then a stack of papers ready for her to work on. Ji Heon made her summarized all that.

Myeong Ran helped Eun Seol that night. I like it when she said, “Do you know what, I think you two are putting on a show.”
Yeahhh, I think she’s absolutely right.

It wasn’t yet days of Eun Seol was back as Ji Heon’s secretary, a rumour suddenly spread on the media.
“Director Cha Ji Heon is dating the company’s informant secretary!”
Moo Won told his secretary to warn Eun Seol about the reporters that must have been waiting for her in front of the office.
But it’s too late. Eun Seol was already facing the hungry-for-the-breaking-news reporters.

Eun Seol kept saying no when she’s asked if it’s true that she’s the informant and she’s dating her own boss.
But then Ji Heon came and said they should talk to him instead of her.
So the reporters asked him the same questions.
To everyone suprise, Ji Heon just casually cheerful said, “That’s true. Don’t you think she’s cool? That’s alot of guts to speak up against what’s not right.Don’t you agree? That’s why I fell for her since the first sight! Boom!!”

Aaahhh, one more episode, everyone…Fighting!

Protect The Boss Episode 16 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-16-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-16-summary/#respond Wed, 12 Oct 2011 03:03:05 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=13826

The heartbreaking words by Ji Heon in the previous episode of Protect The Boss made me hesitate to continue watching this episode.
But like I said before, I have to get through it to make it to the end, just like Eun Seol and Ji Heon.
Two more episodes to the final…Oohh, keep fighting everyone!

Actually Ji Heon tried to make the breaking up smoothly by giving an introduction speech.
But it was Eun Seol who cut it that way. She was just so cold and surprisingly (for Ji Heon) she just said, “Okay, I get it. I guess we really do have to end it here.”
She left just like that and it made Ji Heon very upset.
But then the two came back again to have a longer argument.
Well, Eun Seol wasn’t that cold. She told him her reason why she thought it’s time for them to give up their relationship.

Eun Seol didn’t say anything to Na Yoon and Myeong Ran.
She’s just crying while watching a documentary about penguin.

Na Yoon told Moo Won (who was already in Ji Heon’s house accompanying his mother meeting the Grandma) about Eun Seol’s strange behavior and he just got it.

He asked Ji Heon what was Eun Seol’s fault that he had to treat her this way.
Ji Heon was being cold and refused to talk to him. But that night, the poor Ji Heon was bearing the pain all by himself in a dark corner of his room.

The next day Eun Seol was ready for the transfer. She’s saying goodbye to fellow secretaries and Moo Won.
She bid a goodbye to Ji Heon’s room, recalling some sweet moments she had shared with Ji Heon in that room.
But her incidental meeting with Ji Heon in front of the elevator was awkward, but they ended up standing in their place staring to an empty wall: Ji Heon in front of the elevator and Eun Seol inside the elevator.

The board of directors held a meeting to decide who’s gonna lead the company while Chairman Cha undergoing his sentence.
The Grandmother who lead the meeting decided to let the two Cha cousins to have a fair competition.

That night the girls were helping Eun Seol packing her things.
Na Yoon was the one who cried first and asked for apology for her mom’s wrong doing.

Apparently, Eun Seol was kicked out to a the DN Group’s logistic office in a quite remote area.
There’s not much administration work to do, so she decided to go down to the labour work helping the other workers.

Na Yoon now only had Myeong Ran to hang out with.
They’re shopping for Na Yoon’s new place when suddenly Na Yoon saw Moo Won supervising the mall then she said goodbye to Myeong Ran hurriedly.
Moo Won was reluctant to play with her at first, but Na Yoon always got what she wanted.

She finally made Moo Won came by her new apartment.
She started to have a wild imagination, but Moo Won got her back to the reality.

Eun Seol’s father found a newspaper and read the news about what happened to the Chairman and his son.
He rushed to Seoul and found Myeong Ran was alone at home and his daughter was sent away to a remote area.
Chairman Cha was sitting on his wheelchair giving a public apology when Eun Seol’s dad suddenly came out of nowhere yelling at him, which made Chairman Cha provoked and stood up.
But Secretary Jang could made him calm again.

Meanwhile Ji Heon was trying to make himself busy to avoid thinking about Eun Seol everytime.
He had Secretary Kim as his secretary again, but this time their relationship was better than before.
Ji Heon made a visit to the Smart Center and the place had many sweet memories for him and Eun Seol.

Chairman Cha had to be back doing the community service.
Since the chairman’s position was empty, the board of directors had to something with it.
Chairman Cha was so shock to hear that Shin Sook Hee would replace him as the Chairman and it was his own mother’s idea.
“It’s not a Chairman,” said the Grandmother, “It’s a temporary chairman.”

Moo Won and Ji Heon’s relationship had now was getting better.
However, when it came down to one name, they’re not really getting along.
Moo Won said he’s going to meet Eun Seol and Ji Heon still suddenly being cold everytime he heard her name.

Ji Heon was giving himself sometimes alone in the office, checking on his tablet to see Eun Seol’s transfer letter.
Then he found a file which was Eun Seol’s recording when she bid goodbye to the room.
She left a message for Ji Heon to remember his training everytime he felt uneasy.
Eun Seol even sang the antheme song of their training session, the one she learned from the counseling class.
Watching the song…Ji Heon finally realized that he missed her so much. He started to cry.
He decided to go to Eun Seol’s new office.

Eun Seol got a guest. She hoped it was Ji Heon, but it actually Moo Won.
Well, it’s okay. At least she knew that she still had someone who really care for her in every kind of situation.

Ji Heon was looking for Eun Seol when he saw Moo Won saying goodbye to Eun Seol.
He watched her from a hiding place.

He was about to leave when apparently Secretary Kim had left him in purpose.
So Ji Heon had no option but to appear in front of Eun Seol.
She acted cold, but still let Ji Heon stayed overnight in her tiny simple place.

Eun Seol and Ji Heon kept acting awkward and cold when both of them were still awake.
She told Ji Heon that she didn’t care about him anymore since she’s no longer his secretary, so Ji Heon had to help himself and trying to sleep.
But when one of them closed his/her eyes, it felt like nothing really change between both of their feelings.

Eun Seol was delivering some logistic to Seoul and she’s agreed to give a lift to Ji Heon.
When they arrived in the capital city, Eun Seol still cold to Ji Heon who tried to break the ice.
He told her that he wasn’t okay with what he said (about breaking up with her) and asked her if she’s really okay with everything. Eun Seol said yes and that just upset Ji Heon .

After Ji Heon got off the car, Eun Seol started to complained herself, “What was I talking about? Fine? What is fine with everything now?”

She dropped her head and it accidently hit the horn.
Ji Heon heard it, turned around and then started to smile.

Red Carpet from 16th BIFF Opening Ceremony https://kdramachoa.com/red-carpet-from-16th-biff-opening-ceremony/ https://kdramachoa.com/red-carpet-from-16th-biff-opening-ceremony/#comments Mon, 10 Oct 2011 13:46:40 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=14368

Sorry i’m too late post this article, but it’s better than never.
On October 6th was held opening ceremony of 16th Busan International Film Festival. this is one of the international biggest event that held in Korea. The festival held for 9 days, so it will end on October 14th. On that event there will be screening 307 movies from 70 countries.

So many actors and actress came to that event even from overseas. And these are pictures from fashion frenzy on red carpet. They are Jang dong Gun, So Ji Sub, Cha Seung Wan, Choi DAniel, Kim Ha Neul, Han Hyo Joo, Goo Hye Seon, Wang Ji Hye,

So Ji Sub-Han Hyo Joo, the couple from “Only You”, were wearing blacks, maybe to describe how gloomy their love on that movie. “Only You” was chosen as the opening movie.

My Way’s casts, Jang Dong Gun, Jo Odagiri, and the pretty Fang Bing Bing

“Fighting Spirit” couple, Kim Sun Ah and Kim Joo Hyuk

Choi Daniel looked cute on bow tie.

and our hottest ajeossi, okay..no need more comment for this guy.

I love Jo Odagiri style, simple and comfortable but looked cool with his rebel image, and the most stunning daddy, Jang Dong Gun, looked so happy,

On white gown, Kang So Ra was like a princess. Kim Ha Neul looked like a bride, Nam Gyu Ri looked like a doll, and Park Ye Jin looked like a fairy.

Wang Ji Hye looks prettier and innocent with nude make up and broken white gown with flower pattern

Seon Eun Seo, on retro outfit even the hairstyle, looks different but cute.

Min Hyo Rin (Sunny), a messy gown.

Goo Hye Seon, she came not as an actress but as a director on that event, she looked confident with her simple dress.

with Greece gown, Kim Ji Woo transformed into a goddess.

Electric blue for MC on that event, Uhm Ji Won, the right gown if you want to be a center of universe that night.

Yoo In Na, looked calm and elegant with that color.

Oh In Hye became hot topic that night due to her controversial gown, but i think there’s nothing wrong with the orange gown, the gown wa so perfect.

Advice for Park Jin Hee, I think you shouldn’t wear red gown on red carpet ceremony, even the gown absolutely pretty but your charm fade.

Park Shi Yeon looked elegant with that make up, and the dress was so hot

I like the design but i hate the strip pattern, blurring your beauty, Kang Ye Won.

Sung Yoo Ri, looked confident on her simple black dress.

Nice gown, dark purple for Kim Gyu Ri, looked sexy.

Black for these ladies, Kim So Yeon was simple but glamour with black gown. Lee Jin looked safety with simple back dress, and Lee Yoon Ji looked bold and sexy with asymmetric black gown.

The Happiness from “Protect The Boss” https://kdramachoa.com/the-happiness-from-protect-the-boss/ https://kdramachoa.com/the-happiness-from-protect-the-boss/#comments Sun, 02 Oct 2011 01:43:31 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=14245

Whoaaa..finally “Protect The Boss” ended on episode 18, and thank God, happiness for the couples (oops..spoiler here :p )

Why do we really love “Protect the Boss”? Well it’s actually not a long explanation, BUT for those who haven’t watch the drama, you better start watching it to find out the answer. I guarantee you will fall in love with this drama right away, too.

For me personally, at first I thought having the four main actors, this drama will bring just the same story like any other dramas, so cliche with love triangle or love quadrangle with the intrigues cunning and cruel, unfair competition and bla bla bla, but it turned out that I didn’t find those things in”Protect The Boss”in a cliche way. I mean, of course there’s a love triangle and quadrangle you name it…but here you’ll find the concept presented in a differently amusing way:  brighter and lighter…

Eun Seol (Choi Kang-hee) and Na Yoon (Wang Ji Hye) could prove that even if you started the relationship as rivals you could end up to be best friends. And for the bosses, Ji Heon (Ji Sung) and Moo Won (Jae Joong), bring very adorable competition where you can find men love fighting like children.

The character of each role is also very natural, reasonable and unique. There is no excessive ambition here including the chaebols, Ji Heon and Moo Won, who never be ambitious to take over the company, and neither Na Yoon. Although she comes from a wealthy family she was very happy to be friends with Myung Ran and Eun Seol. And for Eun Seol, she always faces the reality like all ordinary people should do, that’s why she’s my favorite character.

I think the director and writer are really genius and creative. They could create a lot of funny-romantic scenes, making the story really different with other dramas. There’s no overacting antagonist character in this drama and this is not a Cinderella story. The point is: this drama is too fun to be missed, too much happiness and cuteness as well.

We’ll see you in another project… :)

Protect The Boss Episode 15 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-15-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-15-summary/#comments Fri, 30 Sep 2011 04:05:10 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=14146

Protect The Boss Episode 15 started backwards to the night before the prosecutors stormed into the office to investigate all the company’s document.

Ji Heon  finally found out the reason from his father after a little push.

Chairman Cha said, “I couldn’t do it cleanly. Secretary Noh found out about it and leaked the information.”

Ji Heon was very disappointed to both his father and Eun Seol.

He stayed away from his mobile that night, kind of ignoring Eun Seol calls. Actually, she’s calling from outside the gate…

That morning Eun Seol was officially kicked out of the company because there’s a box on her desk already.

She was trying to explain everything to Ji Heon when the prosecutor burst in.

The most important thing in that short explanation was that Ji Heon knew Eun Seol was framed by someone.

He would believe her, wouldn’t he?

And soon it became a national news, with Mr. Ahn held a press conference.

Ji Heon was still very upset about everything that he finally found out that his father and the highers in the company had been dealing with this matter for a long time, while he as the so called successor gonna be knew nothing about it.

However, good thing is Chairman Cha actually didn’t believe it that Eun Seol was the one who leak the information.

He kind of smell it at another person. Chairman Cha had to be hospitalized again, no matter it’s just for an acting or for real.

Everyone in the company heard the rumour about Eun Seol as the informant.

Ji Heon defended Eun Seol in front of everyone, but keep acting cold towards her.

And everyone had to face the reporters.

Na Yoon and Moo Won finally got a confirmation that Madam Hwang was the person behind the chaos.

Moo Won was desperate that he had to bear the fact that his mother was involved.

The two talked about this matter to figure out what they could do for Ji Heon and Eun Seol.

Eun Seol met Moo Won on her way out of home since Moo Won just drove Na Yoon there.

ever since he had known the truth, Moo won was awkward in front of Eun Seol. She asked him if his mother was involved.

Although Moo Won said sorry for not be able to answer that question, Eun Seol knew that her chance to clear her name to the Chairman finished there.

Ji Heon was actually downstairs, watching them speak, but he couldn’t really hear their conversation.

When Eun Seol held him from the back and asked for forgiveness, Ji Heon said she’s not the bad person in their issue, it was him.

“Because I’m the one who makes you cry.”

Ji Heon was about to leave alone, but Eun Seol came along to have a further talk.

Ji Heon kin dof knew that Eun Seol bear everything for his sake and that just made him think that he must be a very unreliable boy friend.

He told her that he wasn’t upset because of her. For him it didn’t matter whether she’s the leak or not, because he’d been through this kind of situation quite many times before.

He was upset because without Eun Seol he couldn’t be what he’s today, but the fact that he couldn’t do anything for her was the most upsetting thing.

So he asked her to stay with him to get through this, until he figured out what he really was for Eun Seol.

Then it came the day when everyone was interviewed by the prosecutor.

Everyone’s mission was to make Ji Heon innocent in front of the prosecutors and the that’s just the fact.

During her interview, Eun Seol said to the prosecutor that they just had no evidence about Ji Heon’s involvement and hoped by digging some information from her they would get a little clue that Ji Heon was involved.

But they really got nothing.

Outside the police station, while Ji Heon was facing the reporters with his head up and put on a stern face, Eun Seol saw and overheard Manager Park was talking to someone on the phone talking about Chairman Cha being interviewed.

Eun Seol followed him in a very close distance that she could recorded everything.

She busted Manager Park and threatened him.

Moo Won threatened Madam Hwang that if she kept dragging in everyone for her sin, he would blow up her secret funding and play Na Yoon’s heart.

Na Yoon overheard it and got upset. But Moo Won said she misunderstood and her being like was kind of new to him.

He finally got Na Yoon an apartment that she asked before. She felt uncomfortable to continue living with Eun Seol.

Eun Seol was breaking into the guarded vip room where Chairman Cha was hospitalized. She came to apologize, but at the same time Ji Heon was there talking about her with his father.

Eun Seol overheard from outside the room when Chairman Cha insisted Ji Heon to break up with her.

He told Ji Heon that he didn’t think Eun Seol as the traitor, but that’s not the case.

He still blamed her for causing the trouble, that she was framed by someone because she knew the things she shouldn’t.

And then Chairman Cha had a hunch that he had to give up his position and wanted Ji Heon to be his successor.

In order not to make Ji Heon more ridiculous in front of the board, he couldn’t be with Eun Seol.

Ji Heon said,”Really? Should I break up with her?” And Eun Seol left the room without hearing the rest.

The rest of Ji Heon words were these: “No, I couldn’t do that. Even if I have to break up with her, it’s gonna be for a very different reason.”

Eun Seol met Na Yoon and Moo Won at the hospital. And before she left she asked them, “Can I bully your moms for once?” I finally have something to laugh about in this bleak episode!

Moo Won said “As much as you like,” but Na Yoon asked, “But you won’t hit her, right?”

“I don’t know,” said Eun Seol’

So she really came to face the two madams by bringing along Myeong Ran.

She didn’t hit them because they’re the mothers of people she liked, but she threatened them that if they repeated the same evilness ever again, she wouldn’t care anything about whatever. She would bring them down with her streght.

Before she left, she made them promised one more thing, “You guards are not less skillful. It’s just…we’re not ordinary, so don’t fire them.”

Then Ji Heon asked for a date. Both of them knew it’s gonna be their last time together, but they enjoyed the moment.

Eun Seol showed off her beauty this time but putting make up and dress nicely.

They went picnic out of town to the horse barn.

When they’re back into town, Ji Heon brought her to the place where he always went when he’s running away from home.

He finally speak up the word, “I want to break up with you.”

Everyone was ready when Ji Heon finally said those words, even I was ready for that.

Episode 15 and 16 are very tiring. Frankly saying, I dislike them sooo much.

You know it’s the moment when conflict reach its climax. Just like in any other stories, this moment is full of emotion.

I was reluctant to watch episode 16 after episode 15, which was the first time I reluctant to watch Protect The Boss so far.

But heading to the final episodes, I know I have to get through it and pray for the best.

Protect The Boss Episode 12 Summary https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-12-summary/ https://kdramachoa.com/protect-the-boss-episode-12-summary/#comments Fri, 16 Sep 2011 11:53:25 +0000 http://kdramachoa.com/?p=13474

After settling her matters with Moo Won, Eun Seol didn’t feel relieve. She looked very sad.

But then she found Ji Heon standing on the stairs asking if she had cleared things out with Moo Won.

Eun Seol just nodded.

Ji Heon then asked her to drop the transfer application.

The next thing he asked was a dinner.

Eun Seol immediately called Myeong Ran. She prepared a huge bowl of Bibimbap for three  of them.

Ji Heon refused to eat it at first, saying that the food was messy and gross.

But Myeong Ran made him swallowed a mount-like-spoonful Bibimbap.

Na Yoon just got back home when she had a problem with her heels again and lean on Moo Won’s car.

She thought Moo Won was just a stranger, but as soon as she found out who he really was, she get herself into the car immediatly.

Moo Won tried to send her away with several yellings, but then Na Yoon understood the situation.

“I don’t know how to comfort you,” said Na Yoon innocently.

Moo Won refused to be comforted, but Na Yoon remembered about the drinking-singing-dancing for a brokenhearted Eun Seol and Myeong Ran taught her.

She got the idea of making Moo Won do that too.

After the terrifying dinner for Ji Heon, he and Eun Seol had a talk on the veranda. Eun Seol asked Ji Heon if he really didn’t want to be the Chairman’s successor. Ji Heon said he didn’t.  no want the company

The conversation then led to a good mood and they were about to have a kiss…

But Myeong Ran suddenly came out and freaked out.

“I think I should by you a fluit, so you can blow it first before you do something that I shouldn’t see,” she said.

Na Yoon and Moo Won ended up in a karaoke place.

She sang whole heartedly but out of tone here and there…you can know from Moo Won’s expression how bad Na Yoon’s voice

and when it’s time for Moo Won to sing…Aaahh, You couldn’t be more charmed.

Even Na Yoon couldn’t hold her jaw from dropping.

Moo Won was terrible with alcohol. After just a few bottle he was really drunk.

Na Yoon had to call Ji Heon for a help.

On their way home, the drunk Moo Won leaned his head to Ji Heon’s shoulder.

Ji Heon tried to get his head away, but it kept coming back to his shoulder.

Then Ji Heon gave in and let his cousin leaned on him, like Ji Heon wanted to easen Moo Won’s heartache.

Ji Heon leaned his head to Moo Won’s and whispered, “I’m sorry.”

Oohhh this is a very romanticly touching scene.

We could see how much Eun Seol’s words are true that the boys need each other more than they need Eun Seol. They had no sibling, so they only have each other.

And even though they, especially Ji Heon, always present their childish side, inside they’re grown up men with a mature mind.

Just have a look at how Ji Heon look at Moo Won after he put him on the bed: that’s a brother’s love.

Chairman Cha was so happy about Ji Heon’s successful presentation.

He couldn’t stop saying how much he’s proud of his son to his mother.

I always love to see this mother and son relationship.

The scary Chairman Cha in the office was actually a mommy’s boy at home…everyone really has a flaw :D

Na Yoon was upset to Eun Seol for what happen to Moo Won.

She was mean to her in various way, but ended up kicked out of the house by Myeong Ran.

Na Yoon couldn’t go anywhere so she’s just crying outside until Myeong Ran told her to get back inside.

Ji Heon brought Myeong Ran to work as a part timer at the coffee shop since he wrapped up his “boss undercover” project.

Since she was promoted by Ji Heon himself, everyone then suspected her as Chairman Cha’s illegitimate daughter.

Eun Seol was brought to the mall by Chairman Cha.

He bought her so many dresses and they did the “trying dresses” scene.

I think this idea was so creative that we usually see a lover do this.

But this drama presented us a father-slash-chairman with son’s-girlfriend-slash-secretary.

The scene of course could be easily mistaken by anyone who didn’t know their relationship.

Other people could just easily think that the boss did date the secretary and he was buying her lots of nice dresses.

And that’s exactly what happened when Currator Hwang incidently saw them at the mall.

She was strangely very upset that she even called out Madam Shin to share her troubled mind.

Madam Shin said that Madam Hwang might still have a feeling for Chairman Cha because she used to like him when they’re young.

The Grandma came to the office to make real her words when she said she was going to help Moo Won and Madam Shin with funding.

After signing papers with Moo Won, she asked him for a date.

Moo Won refused at first, saying he’s busy.

But Grandma understood his brokenhearted situation and insisted him to accept her offer of a date.

It’s very romantic that Moo Won took the grandma to have a walk in the park.

He even rode a bike with Grandma on the back.

When they’re having a break, Moo Won told the grandmother that he was serious when he told Eun Seol about changing their environment.

No matter whom Eun Seol ended up with, Moo Won said he would change they environment.

During his date with his grandmother, he kept recalling his dating memory with Eun Seol.

Na Yoon was summoned by her mother because Madam Hwang wanted her to move out from Eun Seol’s place.

She bought her a villa, but Na Yoon was thinking about bringing along Eun Seol and Myeong Ran to move there.

Madam Hwang was upset and took back the key and then left.

Na Yoon met Moo Won for business.

But when Na Yoon was trying to comfort him about his personal matter Moo Won kept his guard by acting cool.

It’s a funny reality for him that when he broke up with Na Yoon, it was Eun Seol who comforted him.

And then when he broke up with Eun Seol, it was Na Yoon who comforted him.

Na Yoon was upset with Moo Won’s coldness. She pretended to play hard by refusing Moo Won’s offer for a ride home.

But she finally gave up when she found no taxy to take her home.

Ji Heon insisted Eun Seol to have a date.

They ended up eating pork belly at small restaurant near by Eun Seol’s house.Ji Heon was very upset, especially because Myeong Ran was about to come along.

But then they cleaned each others food-on-lips with their hands. Ji Heon then said that he would make Myeong Ran ate a lot and fast and then sent her back first.

But on her way home, Na Yoon saw Myeong Ran and called her out.

So the three ended up joining Ji Heon and Eun Seol having dinner together.

“What’s on earth is happening here??” Ji Heon was the most objected party. But Eun Seol thought it was fun to have everyone sit together having dinner.

“Okay, you all just eat everything and then leave soon,” said Ji Heon.

It’s funny when everyone freaked out when Moo Won was about to pour a beer onto his glass.

So everyone already knew how bad he was with alcohol. Moo Won then had cola instead of beer.

Then Myeong Ran realized that it looked like a double date while she was put aside because she was alone and no one care for her.

So she had an idea of calling Secretary Kim out to be her boyfriend in that dinner.

The image of six of them sitting together enjoying dinner and a nice conversation look very sweet and touching.

I really like their friendship.

Early in the morning Eun Seol got a summon phonecall from the Chairman.

Her education was about to start. Chairman Cha had put her to study all the necessary things about being part of a chaebol family.

She learned how to do flower decoration, play cello, table manner and many things…

Meanwhile, Ji Heon had no choice but to go with Chairman Cha who introduced him to their partners in illegal business.

Ji Heon was against it. He checked on Eun Seol, finding out that she was having a hard time.

The only reason Eun Seol played along with all that was because Chairman Cha had paid everything, so it’s gonna be a waste of money if she just quit there.

Eun Seol met Moo Won on her way out of the hotel.

Apparently it was Madam Shin’s hotel and Moo Won just finished his business with his mother, discussing about how he wanted to eliminate the illegal business sector since he had promise someone and his grandma that he would change the environment.

They enjoyed tea together as friends and Eun Seol looked comfortable talking about what she had been through the whole day.

The next day, Chairman Cha was producing booklets for the director boards of “How to talk in court when you are asked about illegal funding.”

He ordered Secretary Jang to burn the rest of the document before he left the room for -probably- toilet.

Eun Seol was coming to his office and Chairman Cha told her to wait for him inside his office.

Apparently Secretary Jang hadn’t cleaned up the documents and Eun Seol unpurposely found out what’s written in the booklets.

Secretary Jang was very nervous cleaning up everything from the table and tried to deny everything when Eun Seol asked him questions.

But then Chairman Cha came into the office and everyone looked tense.
