Joo Won’s Secret Acting Improvement? The Movie “Special Investigation Unit”

As “Gaksital” has been leading the rating among other dramas in the same time slot, people also start to take more attention to Joo Won’s acting. He’s been improved a lot and I think we really have to appreciate it. His character as the wounded Lee Kang To is difficult, that’s true. He had to change his expressions many times, from the easy going person who has a big ambition and obsession to the very serious one that presents him as a person with a huge burden on his shoulders. He also had to be very explosively  emotional in many scenes and of course it required lots of energy, but most importantly skill. So how he got his acting skill improved significantly?

Joo Won said that “Special Investigation Unit” was a very new chapter in his acting experience. There he had a great opportunity to work with high-caliber seniors such as Uhm Tae Woong, Jaeon Jin Yeong, Kim Jeong Tae, and Seong Dong Il. He learned many different styles of acting, as each of the seniors has his own specialty. He watched them work and learned so many things from them. He also said for Gaksital he dig into the character very carefully before the production started filming, so he could put the most proper acting for each of the scene.

So this young man really did work hard for his acting skill. He used to be known more as an actor who sings well, but now…he’s good in both Hmm…he’ll be competing with Uhm Tae Woong for the Daesang Award this year, for sure.
