“Gumiho: Tale of the Fox’s Child” after “Secret Agent Miss Oh”

What would you do if you were as young as 10 years old and found out that you’re a beast? When I said a beast, it was almost physically in literate meaning: paws, pointy ears, yellowish fox-like eyes…and even fangs! And your beautiful mom is actually the one passed you over the monster gen? Well, this condition is what Yeon Yi (played by a very talented young actress, Kim Yoo Jeong) must face in this drama. While her father (played by Jang Hyeong Seong) is a total human, her mother (played by Han Eun Jeong) is a Gumiho.

As we know from the eastern-asia traditional tales, gumiho is a nine-tailed fox which often described as the most dangerusly deadliest monster and often performed itself in a human female form.

However, this KBS ssageuk drama is not giving us a mere horror story where good wins over evil, but is giving us a good combination of romance, thriller and horror. So far, the drama gains good response from viewers even though they started just so so. Will we have a try to follow this one? Well, let’s just see
