Speed of “Speedy Scandal”

As always, Korean movie lovers are amused by a unique story ideas. “Speedy Scandal”, released in 2008, was categorized as a family comedy and was directed by Kang Hyeong Cheol.
Starring Cha Tae-Hyeon as Hyeon Soo Nam, a successful radio announcer who was still confidently happy to live a bachelor life until the sudden arrival of a young girl, claiming as his birth daughter, who brought along her son! Knowing to have an illegitimate daughter had already overwhelmed him, let alone an illegitimate grandson. Funny things happened after the daughter and the grandson insisted on living in Hyeon Soo’s apartment, since they had no where else to go.
After a DNA test, done at a vet clinic, Hyeon Soo finally admitted Hwang Jeong Nam (played by Park Bo Yeong) as his flesh and Hwang Hyeon Seok (played by Hwang Ki Dong) as his grandson. But of course this should be kept as secret from the public since Hyeon Soo was a famous celebrity.
Hyeon Soo’s effort to hide the truth from public had turned his life around, but finally the secret was unleashed and speedy scandal occurred.
Cha Tae Hyeon’s acting in drama comedy has no doubt. But what makes this movie a lot more interesting and entertaining was the fresh and amusing acting of Park Bo Yeong and Hwang Seok Hyeon.
