Baker King, Kim Tak Gu Episode 24 Summary

Grab your handkerchief before watching this episode. This griefing moment quite energy sucking. There’re lot of tears and desperation, but for our hero, Kim Tak Gu, it’s the perfect turning point. He couldn’t stand back no more. He had to face the cruel villains and embrace his destiny as Geo Seong’s heir.

Mr. Pal Bong’s funeral was a very touching moment. At first the family thought that people didn’t acknowledge Mr. Pal Bong respectfully while he had been making bread for people all his life. Only few people came to pay respect, one of them was Ma jun. The family was very dissapointed.

Then they decided to hold the funeral ceremony despite the lack of people paying respect. But until they walked the coffin out of home, they finally knew they’re wrong. Around a hundred baker artistans marched toward them. And i guessed the leader was quite familiar. If i’m not mistaken, he’s the last judge testing the bread on the court? They’re all in their baking uniform and finally paid their respect to the late Mr. Pal Bong. You know what, seeing this scene brought me a goosebumps…and almost teary eyes

After participating in his teacher funeral process, back to his office Director Gu found Mr. Han played an obvious game. He treated the share holders lunch and incited them to turn their back from Director Gu to go onto his side. Just like in any other classics, the evil bishop summoned the elders to overthrown the king in an elegant way. 

The next scene was hard because we’re hearing the two leading male characters cried…no, wept. Of course, the wise Mr. Pal Bong wouldn’t go without leaving anything for his two special students: Tak Gu and Ma jun (Tae Jo). For Tak Gu, he apparently had finished writing the theme for the third round’s competition. “The happiest bread on earth.” For Ma jun, he left a piece of letter. It seemed that he’d had a hunch the fermentation journal would eventually in Tae Jo’s hand in an unproper way. But the letter sayings just showed Ma jun how Mr. Pal bong saw the two sibling as equally specials. One brought pride, the other brought dissapointment. However, in the letter, Mr. Pal bong explained to Ma jun the real meaning of each of competition round’s theme.

Mr. Pal bong was definitely the master. His wise words could easily touch Ma jun’s cold heart and made him break down and cry.

However, everyone didn’t stay in the grief for long. They moved on. Ma jun made a soft-proposal-of-marriage to Yu Gyeong. He put the tragical diamond bracelet on her wrist instead of a diamond ring. Tak Gu lifted up his mood by baking some breads. He then gathered everyone for breakfast. And the breads were of course reminded everyone with Mr. Pal bong. But just like a Shakespeare stayed in everyone’s heart through his writings, Mr. Pal Bong stayed in his dearly familiy and students through his bread.

Jin Gu finally decided to accept Director Gu’s offer. He thought Tak Gu’s life after Mr. Pal bong departed was going to be harder. So he just left mysteriously.

Director Gu made a suspicious leave to meet Kim Mi Sun. Unfortunately, Madame Seo smelled this fishy meeting,so she decided to see everything with her own eyes.

He eventually realized there’s something wrong with her eyesight. Kim Mi sun told him the cause of it. Director Gu then told Kim Mi sun that he had known the reason why she’s finally back on the surface. He was no fool. He had smell a revenge. He asked her to stop.

Kim Mi sun left the table abruptly before the conversation was clearly finished. Madame Seo tailed her and she let her did it. Kim Mi sun then led Madame Seo to the cliff, the crime scene of 14-years-ago-incident. After a short talk, Kim Mi sun suddenly grabbed Madame Seo’s hand and led her on to the edge of the cliff. She wanted them to dietogether to end everything.

When Madame Seo was struggling to free herself, Director Gu stopped the scene. He finally confessed about his evil command to separate the mother away from her son. and just after that very moment, Director Gu collapsed. He got a brain illness.

I never doubt that Ma jun loved Director Gu as much as he wished to be his biological son. He looked so down facing this whole sudden scheme. But it’s a very sweet of Yu Gyeong to stay at Ma jun’s side on this kind of condition. I guess she started to develop a sincere feeling to reply Ma jun’s love.

Meanwhile, Madame Seo at first looked very shock and sincerely worried about her husband. But that didn’t last long. She caught Mr. Han roughly checking on Director Gu’s document, seeking for Director Gu’s personal company shares. They couldn’t find anything since the things they were looking for had been handed over to Tak Gu from Director Gu’s private lawyer.

Tak Gu had no idea what was happening in the great mansion until that man came. He told Tak Gu everything. As shock as Ma jun, Tak Gu was. He’s then having Director Gu’s shares on his hands. Tak Gu finally came up with a realization that he’s needed by his own father. That his father didn’t have many people to believe at.

Tak Gu then stopped running away from his destiny. After all the long years, he eventually stepped back into that grand mansion with a head up and full of self confindence. When he arrived, many people gathered there. It’s the day when Director Gu was brought home, eventhough his had not gain any consciousness.

Looking at Tak Gu’s eyes on that kind of stern expression, I guess that would mean: THE WAR IS OFFICIALLY STARTED. JUST BRING IT ON!
