“Brain” After “Poseidon” on KBS Monday-Tuesday Drama
New KBS medical-theme drama will start airing on November 14, which is tomorrow night. Poseidon wrapped up last week with of course a happy ending for everyone.
This drama tells about the story of neurologists in the hospital and also their conflicts. The main rivalry will be between the famous neurologist, Kim Sang Chul (played by Jeong Jin Yeong) and the ambitious neurosurgeon, Lee Kang Hoon (played by Shin Ha Kyun).
The filming set was built to be as similar as the real hospital cost about 4 billion won. This show is directed by Yoo Hyeon Ki and writer Yoon Kyeong Ah, the director-writer collaboration on “God of Study.” With such a high budget and supported by well-known names, this drama expected a high positive response from viewers.
As for me, I just told Blossom that I’m just tired of “chaebol” romance-conflict in Korean drama and very look forward on seeing non-chaebol thingy drama to watch, after Poseidon, and probably to write the summary too. I think this drama will be something like Hollywood’s “ER” rather than “Grey’s Anatomy”. I’ll be more than happy if there will be a lunatic character like dr.Greg House in “House” (my favorite of all time!). Therefore, even though I bet there will be many medical language, especially about neurology, in this drama, I have quite a high expectation for it. I’m gonna have a try to watch it tomorrow. And if I find it more interesting than Man of Honor (Glory Jane), i’ll be happy to write the summary.
They held the praying ceremony on October 20th at the filming set, in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
Besides Shin Ha Kyun and Kim Sang Chul, this drama is also supported by Choi Jung Won, Jo Dong Hyeok, Lee Sung Min, and many more.
And I found out that the cute Secretary Park Hoon from drama “Lie to Me”, Kwon Se In, will be playing in this drama as well. Hope his character will be as freshing as his character as Park Hoon.

Dr Kim Sang Chul said beautifully that our brain is our true heart, so please do not forget that using your brain as your heart, investing in a such new work would be a great benediction for you, for us, for everyone across the world.
Shin Ha Kyun’s character of course is probably the one that was the most touching one, in which every human being struggling every day, was able to recognize. His mother was also the incarnation of the deep love that each mother accross the world has for her children inside of her, despite of the universal hardness of life. 20 episodes were already a huge blessing from each of you , but please believe me, this drama still deserves episodes , a season at least. Please. The following plot could be and should be, I honestly think, be centered on the new explicit romance between Dr Lee and his beloved Dr Ji Hye, because it could allow another perception of the main character, a new stage in his human life, in which so much have already been and would still recognized themselves. The staging of their true romance should be the occasion to bring some sweetness and humour afther such difficulties, I do not think that it would change the serious spirit of drama and its previous success. Besides, the others main characters should be also highlighted through the plot: Ji Hye’s love, Matron Hong, etc. The following plot should also deals with Dr Kim Sang Chul and the academic and medical researches, like previously.
Once again : Please, invest to create and produce a continuation to this priceless drama. You will invest money and time, and … you will earn an international gratitude from each human soul. Dr Kim Sang Chul said beautifully that our brain is our true heart, so please do not forget that using your brain as your heart, investing in a such new work would be a great benediction for you, for us, for everyone across the world.
