Bridal Mask (Gaksital) Episode 12 Quick Summary

Gaksital episode 12 started with a gun fire. The wounded man Gaksital was going to take away sacrificed himself by taking Shonji’s bullet for him. The police station suddenly at an alert situation. Gaksital managed to fight them all, even hit Shonji unconscious. Gaksital went back to the dying man. He handed Gaksital a piece of paper and told him where to find Dam Sari.

After gaksital fled, Shonji rushed back to the dying man. He brought him to dr.Woo. They tried to delay that man’s death and make him speak about Gaksital’s real identity, but of course it didn’t work. The dying man murmured, “Just stop it. A dying man should just die.” Shonji went hysterical that he injected the serum like crazy to the dying man.

Dam Sari was having a briefing at the woods with the remaining of his team. He told them to go for their lives. Gaksital finally came to him as a confirmation that he agreed to help Dam Sari. Dam Sari shared his information and strategy with Gaksital.

Shonji came back to the police station when he realized something wasn’t right: Kang To was no where in the scene. He rushed to the interrogation dungeon and found Kang To was lying on the floor. Kang To pretended that Gaksital had hit him unconscious too.

The two best friends still live together and even sleep in the same room. Shonji shared his frustration of catching Gaksital that it had kind of ruined his life. He said that as soon as he catch gaksital, he would be coming back as an ordinary teacher and probably recover his relationship with Mok Dan. “Kang To, what should I do? What am I supposed to do?” Shonji held his tears. Lying next to him Kang To couldn’t hold his tears watching Shonji. Both men back each other and cried a streaming tears on their own.

Kang To came to gaksital shed and expressed his frustration to his brother’s spirits. He’s wondering how long he would hide his face from Shonji. Just like his brother to him, he also wanted to take care of Shonji. “Hyeong, I’m so scared. Last night, someone died because of me. Hyeong, can I fight till the end just like you?” Kang To cried alone.

Mok Dan was meeting her father to tell him that she’s gonna take part in the mission. Since Gaksital had agreed to help her father, Mok Dan was going to China (to join the other freedom fighter i suppose) “Gaksital will really help you, right? Be careful father,” said Mok Dan before sending his father away. What they didn’t know was the traitor girl overheard some of their plan and surely would report it to Goiso. After her father left, Mok Dan wrote another message for Gaksital, this time to say thank you to Gaksital for helping her father.

The traitor girl came running to the police station to report to Goiso about Mok Dan. She told them that Mok Dan’s father and Gaksital were working together, and Mok Dan was leaving for China alone. On her way back, the traitor girl was cornered by Kang To. He paid her to tell him the information she gave Shonji.
Meanwhile Shonji was informing his father about the collaboration of Gaksital and Dam Sari.

Kang To rushed to the hotel. Mok Dan was on her way out to leave the message to Gaksital. Kang To was actually giving her a hint not to leave China as she planned and about there’s a spy near her. “So you’re leaving for China alone? And your father got a help from Gaksital? What? You’re curious how I know? You don’t even know there’s an enemy beside you?”

Shonji was giving a briefing to his team when he realized that Kang To wasn’t present. Kang To was walking out of the hotel when he walked pass Chae Hong Joo who’s under disguise as a nun. She’s on action to dig information from Mok Dan.  Mok Dan started to get curious about the nun when she didn’t do the crossing before drinking the tea. Mok Dan asked a tricky question and Hong Joo fell for that.

Then Mok Dan was telling her something, but I think it’s gonna be a false information since she’s getting more sure the nun was a disguised enemy. Hong Joo made a phone call to Taro right away, using a disguised conversation. The clever Mok Dan straightly packed her things.

The police officers took the bait. They got the message that Gaksital and Dam Sari were going to have a meeting at the hospital at 12 o’clock. Kang To was confused that he didn’t know anything about such a thing, but he just left with the all Shonji’s team.

Gaksital showed up in front of a newspaper delivery truck. He burnt all the newspapers and then came in to the newspaper office. Mr.Park and his reporter son were in a cheerful conversation when Gaksital came to attack them. Meanwhile Shonji and his team were rushing to ambush Gaksital and Dam Sari. But all they found were only dr.Woo who’s having a meal and his visitor.

Dam Sari was somewhere else, none other than at the police station. He was under disguised as a postman. He came across Kimura Taro who was suspicious on him. He even opened Dam Sari’s bag and had his men inspected them all. They found nothing because the things were on the move by Dam Sari’s men. When Mr.Kimura arrived at Mr.Park office, the father and son were already tight together.
Mr.Kimura reported it to Chae Hong Joo.

Mok Dan was saying goodbye to the circus leader, even did her formal deep bow to him. Everyone was so desparate. Shonji said there’s only one way now, to catch Mok Dan. “Are you really okay with it?” asked Kang To. Shonji made sure that everything would be okay and Kang To had to catch her right away.

Kang To looked for Mok Dan at the hotel, but she’s already at the woods saying goodbye to her close friend. Shonji and his men caught Mok Dan first. Mok Dan ran away and the police were all after her in the woods. Kang To came too late. He was still asking information from Mok Dan’s friend when he heard a gun fire. Kang To rushed into the woods.

Shonji fired a gun and hit a tree, but Mok Dan couldn’t run any longer. Shonji was about to take Mok DAn away when suddenly Gaksital showed up. Again, it’s a one on one duel between Shonji and Gaksital. Mok Dan suddenly fired a gun to the air and both men freeze. She aimed the gun to Shonji. That man dropped his long sword more because of a heart break than fear. Gaksital took Mok Dan away, and Shonji screamed out his frustration with tears streaming down his face. Mok Dan’s letter for Gaksital was left behind and Shonji read it.

Gaksital and Mok Dan arrived at a safe place. Mok Dan held him tight and Gaksital held her too, letting Mok Dan cried on his shoulder.

The most touching scene was of course the conversation before sleep between Shonji and Kang To. Well it was more of Shonji was sharing his burden feelings to Kang To while Kang To was heart broken listening to it. These two best friends are in a very complicated situation and the most burdened thought must be Kang To of course. And it’s all described in Kang To’s lines when he was crying alone in the shed. This drama maintain the humane side of every character. I like the way they Mok Dan as a very smart girl. I also appreciate that they let us see those strong men cried…streaming tears. But i wonder who’s gonna realize first that Kang To was never around every time Gaksital shows up. Kang To’s position was getting more difficult now.

And just a small curiosity… Kang To seems to bring all those Gaksital property with him anywhere that he could change Kang to-Gaksital-Kang To and almost the same as Clark Kent-Superman speed It’s just a show anyway.
