Bridal Mask (Gaksital) Episode 13 Quick Summary

Gaksital episode 13 started where Mok Dan and Gaksital fled to the woods after she threatened Shonji with a gun. Mok Dan cried on Gaksital’s shoulder.”To meet you before leaving is so grateful,” she said. Then she called Gaksital the way she called the boy who gave her the dagger. In her heart she narrated. “I have to go to help my father. When I come back, can we meet again? can I see your face again?” The mute Gaksital also expressed his trouble mind in his heart. “Pooni-a, sending you away is difficult. Will we be able to see again? I will look for you this time.” Gaksital kissed her forehead before leaving. Mok Dan kept her eyes close until Gaksital left.

Shonji was alone in his room, studying Mok Dan’s letter for Gaksital. He remembered how Mok Dan pointed the gun towards him. And remembered how Gaksital killed his brother before his own eyes. Goiso came to report him something, then Shonji asked him about Kang To whereabout. Goiso said he didn’t see him ever since the morning. The last time Shonji saw kang To was before he left for arresting Mok Dan. He rushed to look for Kang To.

Kang To was alone drinking in the club. But soon Hong Joo joined him. She managed to remind him about a gisaeng whom her life he had saved long ago. Hong Joo was a bit disappointed that Kang To did remember her, but not properly. She was about to leave, but Kang To noticed that Shonji just entered the place, so he prevented Hong Joo from leaving. Shonji asked the girl in the club if Kang To came in the morning. She said Kang To just came at around four. Shonji then joined himself with Kang To and Hong Joo.

Shonji asked Kang To why he met Mok Dan in the morning. “Tell me why are you lying? What’s the reason you’re meeting her?” Shonji remembered how Kang To looked at Mok Dan. Hong Joo made a comment  that their arguments sounded like they’re fighting for a girl. Shonji told Kang To to have a private conversation outside. Kang To told Hong joo to keep her voice for singing.

“You haven’t answered me,” Shonji said to Kang To. “You lied to me. Why did you meet her at the hotel this morning?” Kang To said he was thinking about looking for Dam Sari. And then he turned the coversation by reminding Shonji, “It’s not who loves that woman. You’re the one who’s suffering in your heart.” Shonji felt offended. He said not to care about it. Shonji said he had to avenged his brother’s death. “Don’t ever think that way again,” said Shonji.

Konno was having a briefing with the police higher officers. I think they’re planning to have an event.
Taro and Shonji were in the middle of conversation when Goiso came in a rush telling them an urgent information. Their ammunition storage was robbed. Mr.Kimura just realized later that the postman he came across that day was actually Dam Sari.

Dam Sari, Mok Dan and the other freedom fighters were preparing for their weapons. Kang To was thinking hard the next thing he had to with Dam Sari’s name then on the surface again.

The father and son started to link Kang To and Dam Sari together. They’re suspecting Kang To and DAm Sari somehow worked together. They remembered the day of the ambush to the hospital, Kang To wasn’t there. Shonji even asked Goiso to keep this a secret from Kang To.

Kang To was learning about the party’s vvip guest lists. They knew that Dam Sari would show up in the party. Shonji was giving briefing to his division about the strategy to ambush Dam Sari. Shonji let Kang To voluntary be in charge for this mission. But Kang To could feel that Shonji was a bit strange towards him. He knew that Shonji might be suspicious about him about something.

Dam Sari was coming to Mr.Lee’s mansion to go to the party together. Mok DAn also came along, disguised as his secretary. She did look abit different with the bang. Kang To arrived and saw Mok Dan. He clearly did see Mok Dan, but pretended not to see her. Mok Dan hurriedly got into the car to hide her face, and Kang To just walked pass the car. Kang To explained the police plan on the party venue in front of Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Dam Sari and his partner. He told them that since they’re the vip guests, he had a responsibility to help them. His real aim was to give a clue to Dam Sari about what the police would do in the party. Their situation was not good.

Dam Sari got the clue. They had no time to think if Kang To was actually helping him. Dam Sari told his partner to just go together with Mok Dan, and let him go to the party alone. His partner refused to go, so he just sent back Mok Dan. He told her that Kang To had showed him the police plan.

Kang To was discussing with Baek Geon about what he had to do with Dam Sari with Shonji was suspicious on him.

The party was going to start. Shonji and his troops were on alert. The guests were coming. Kang To was in charge to screen on the guests at the entrance.

Shonji was suspicious about Cha Tae Geon as he compared him with the picture of Dam Sari. Kang To nervously checked on Dam Sari’s package and passed it. Shonji approached Dam Sari and made a thorough check on him. Kang To looked so tense, but thankfully Dam Sari passed Shonji’s screening.

Mok Dan insisted on going to the party too to help her father. His father’s man tried to prevent her from going, but then agreed to go there together with her.

The party started. Hong joo was leading the Japanese antheme Kimigayo. Dam Sari was ready to be in action. Shonji who had been keeping his eyes on Dam Sari caught him was about to get a bomb from his hat. Shonji avoid the suicide bomb and managed to beat Dam Sari. Kang To couldn’t do anything about it. Dam Sari’s partner was making her way out. An officer at the door who got suspicious on her was going to tail her, but Kang To knocked him unconscious. Later Shonji asked him to catch that woman. Mr. and Mrs. Lee were very shock.

When everyone thought the situation was already back to normal, the Police Chief was leading a toss for celebrating the police success to get Dam Sari. Suddenly Gaksital showed up in the scene. Hong Joo prevented her personal bodyguard to step in. She wanted to see how the police deal with this matter. Gaksital faced Taro in a duel. He managed to unarmed Taro and then tore the giant Japanese flag with it. Gaksital had the sword on Taro’s neck. Shonji came and pointing his gun to Gaksital.
“Shonji, don’t worry about me,” said Mr.Kimura, “just shoot.”

I actually expected Kang To to have a smart counter plan for Shonji’s suspicion on him. But I don’t think he had. I don’t know but I feel it gotta be very tiring for Kang To to switch between Kang To and Gaksital at such intense time. He should involve Baek Geon more.
