Secret Garden Episode 3 Summary

After saving Ra Im from the ruthless PD and declaring himself as a fan of her, Joo Won treated all the crew their lunch.

Ra Im was silent and still on her chair, but Joo Won asked (actually forced) her to accompany him having lunch in the private room just the two of them. “Wooooo…” sounded the crew (its mean “oooh… so sweet”  ), and then all eyes were on Ra Im and Joo Won, including Chae Rin who was jealous of Ra Im for sure.

Never been treated like any other women (on a date) made Ra Im uncomfortable with the intimate atmosphere created by Joo Won (wine, candles and pull her chair). She finally cut off the candle with a spoon, then the romantic atmosphere just fade away.

Joo Won began to flatter himself because he thought Ra Im was going to be more kind to him she knew that he was the owner of LOEL (at least he’s not jobless like Ra Im had thought). He even started talking about his expensive sparkling tracksuit (again  ). Joo Won hoped that Ra Im felt sorry for him and be more kind to him.
Joo Won finished talking then Ra Im just nodded. Joo Won was confused with her plain expression. Ra Im said not going to get angry again in front of Joo Won since he said that Ra Im looked prettier when she’s angry (Ra Im didn’t want to give Joo Won a bit fun).

Ra Im was not concerned about Joo Won’s property or status, and after all Ra Im hoped Joo Won wouldn’t come to action school anymore because it’s not a place for people like Joo Won to killing time…(the point is: Whatever you are, stop playing around me!)

Then all the crew had finished eating, and the restaurant was empty, but she just went on eating.

Joo Won suddenly came to interrupt and requested an explanation why she left him. Ra Im was uncomfortable with Joo Won’s treatment (candle, wine, and pulling her chair).
She then put 40,000 won on the table for hospital fee, thinking that since her debt was paid off, got nothing to do with Joo Won anymore.
When Ra Im was about going, Joo Won said “I did all this (the fancy dining) just because I wanted to stop you to say ‘I am sorry’ all the time”.
Ra Im told nothing is wrong with “I am Sorry”, life was not always like a fairy tale. Not all the tables in this world filled with flowers, candles, and wine. “I am sorry” is the way she could survived.(huaaaa…good words )
And before going, Ra Im once again warned Joo Won not to show up in front of her ever again.

After all, all the crew, especially the PD, were very good at Ra Im since then Ra Im was the LOEL CEO’s idol.
Chae Rin was still curious about Ra Im-Joo Won’s relationship…hoho…actually she was jealous.

Then, Jong Soo came to the LOEL, actually he came to warn (with a gentleman manner) Joo Won not to interfere Ra Im anymore. Joo Won said he never intended to interfere, but just wanted to help Ra Im.
Yoon Seul had appointment with Joo Won, but first stopped at Oska’s place. She wasn’t going to meet Oska, but Dong Gyu (Oska’s manager) instead. She planned to convince him that she’s more than eligible to be the director of Oska’s clip. Dong Gyu rejected her request because he’d already made a contract with another director. Regardless the rejection, Yoon Seul was optimistic that she would be the MV director for Oska.

Arriving at Joo Won’s place, Yoon Seul was completely ignored by Joo Won. He said he was going out playing…

Recalling the incident at filming set, Ra Im was actually quite flattered when Joo Won said “For me, this woman is like Kim Tae Hee and Jeon Do Yeon. I’m a fan of Gil Ra Im-ssi”. Ra Im then tried to mirror Jeon Do Yeon’s image whose face was on billboards on the bus stop … …she’s still a woman anyway

Meanwhile, Joo Won still came to action school with a hospital fee recap, it actually costed 45 000 won, so that meant Ra Im was still in debt 5000 won.
And when Ra Im was about to pay him, she could only find 3000 won in her wallet. Ra Im then left without closing her locker first. With the chance in front of his face, Joo Won took a look at the locker contents.

Joo Won found it overwhelming seeing the “new world” that was very strange for him in that locker…Ra Im’s personal items. Joo Won saw photos of Ra Im in the locker then he immediately took a picture with his cell phone (he’s really like a fan). But when he found Oska’s poster…he immediately crumpled it

Ra Im still owed 2000 won, thus Joo Won felt entitled to follow the practice in action school. When the practiced sit ups session, suddenly Joo Won came and joined lying along the others. He asked Ra Im to help him hold his legs for doing sit ups and refused the help from others. At first attempts, Joo Won didn’t do it seriously. Ra Im protested, but Joo Won replied “you’ll be regret
it if I do sit ups properly”.
However, Joo Won did finally sit ups properly (even very properly). When he was in the up position, Joo Won’s face was very close to Im Ra (I thought they would be kissing) that it shocked her but strangely she didn’t pull away. Joo Won did it several times. If I had been Ra Im, I would’ve been sure I wouldn’t regret that sit ups.

Then Joo Won began to seduce Ra Im again by saying “Gil Ra Im-ssi, since what age did you become so pretty? Last year?” and the answer was a kick in the leg.

Ra Im asked Joo Won if he liked her. Joo Won said it was unlikely a love,and Ra Im was not his women type (who according to him must be from a rich family, good education, and full of good manners). Joo Won blamed Ra Im for his imagination and made his life uneasy. For him Ra Im was a puzzling and amazing person who always made him curious and crazy. “For now, I’m just a madman” said Joo Won.

Ra Im requested Joo Won not to come to action school anymore. And for the 2000 won he would send her message again later.

Playing hard to Joo Won, Ra Im ended up waiting for his call or text. And when finally an invitation arrived, Ra Im had obviously softened. She even tried to dress nicely meeting Joo Won in a cafe. She was wearing a scarf on her neck, which according to Ah Yeong would make guys more interested. But for Joo Won, it became a curiousity that her neck was probably bleeding Well, sometimes your best friend could be wrong.

When Ra Im went to the restroom, Joo Won staring at Ra Im’s bag. The broken bag looked more pathetic with a safety pin. Actually I didn’t understand Joo Won’s reaction in this. He was angry because Ra Im was shabby, out of his expectations, and he took it as a sign of underestimating him. He thought Ra Im was insulting him through that crappy bag.

Okay I actually understood what Joo Won meant. He hoped Ra Im to be a little respectful by looking good and wearing more proper dress. He didn’t care for the 2000 won, he just wanted to spend time with Ra Im.

But what exactly you expect from her? She’s just an ordinary girl, a poor girl … aaaarggh … I don’t like the way Joo Won dropping Ra Im’s pride. Ra Im couldn’t take Joo Won’s comments. Thus she just put 2000 won on the table and left. This time, Joo Won didn’t chase her.

As soon as she’s outside, Ra Im met Oska. He greeted her friendly as usual. But Joo Won came out and saw Oska and Ra Im.Surprisingly he just ignored them and went straight to the car. Ough…Joo Won is really disappointed with Ra Im

Joo Won couldn’t stop thinking about Ra Im. He kept looking at Ra Im’s image on his cell phone. And there was a beautiful poem for her.

“A sunny day meaning nothing

Someone is walking in to my heart

I looked forward to chance

My melancholy, precious woman

You flew here by mistake”

(actually this poem is from the title of the books he had just read)

At night he visited Ra Im, but didn’t dare to meet her. I felt a little sorry for him. He must have missed her so much, and regretted saying those harsh words. But unfortunately his pride was too big to make him admit those things.

Ra Im got the third winner of the drawing held by LOEL (the first prize was a romantic holiday with Oska). Since Ra Im was the third winner, she got only a vacuum cleaner. This was strange because Ra Im didn’t shopping at the LOEL, Ah Yeong was also confused. They assumed it was Joo Won’s work.
Arriving in his office, Joo Won was surprised finding Ra Im there, and wondering what was she doing at LOEL?
